Chapter 646: Quickly
The golden bow had an interesting tribal design that was added gracefully to its gleaming surface which was also a bit covered in coral. The bow was a work of art, adorned with intricate patterns and symbols that represented ancient traditions and cultures. The warm, golden hue of the bow caught the light, creating an enchanting play of colors that seemed to dance along its surface.
The tribal design was a testament to the craftsmanship that had gone into its creation, and Rain could only imagine that some blacksmiths of very old tribes made that. Each curve and line told a story, and the overall magic and power that Rain felt on it was both powerful and mesmerizing…
"It should have been at least a sword that fires laser beams…" Rain thought and then wondered where he could get an arrow.
Just as Rain thought of that, a golden arrow appeared in his hand… it consumed twenty points of his mana, but at least it had a physical form. That was the kind of relic that Rain likes, the type that doesn't make any sense.
Rain's curiosity was piqued, and he decided to test the golden bow's unique ability despite the resulting trembling and fall of debris within the underwater cave. The sheer power of the bow left him intrigued but also wary of its capabilities. He knew that mastering such a weapon required caution and a thorough understanding of its properties.
With this newfound knowledge, he left the cave before it could collapse on him. Naturally, he took the treasure with him as well.
When Rain returned, they didn't know what to say about what Rain bought with him… the bow seemed pretty good, but they couldn't help but feel that it had been a waste of time… despite the treasure.
"This around what I get in one year with all my businesses… but how this guy got power from all of this?" Rain thought.
Rain couldn't help but think that the kraken dragon was probably poor if compared to other dragons of its species and that was why it decided to attack the human kingdom so soon… in any case, Rain didn't hear reports about attacks from the dragons, but Geo told him that more and more dragons were appearing and forming bases in the beast people country.
"Do you think that they could be trying to surround us?" Seara asked.
"We won some battles against dragons, but not real conflicts or wars… until that happens, they won't feel like they need to use strategy against us," Rain explained.
Rain imagined that the dragons were waiting for something to happen regarding the sea folk, and then they would make their move since they were allies, but again… it was hard to say.
Since the sea dragons were causing trouble, no one could say what was happening on the magic people's territory… the best option was for Rain to head there and check their southern side, but that would take a bit of time, which was dangerous. Still, his guess was that the younger dragons must be fighting them.
"It is hard to keep a decent network of information when fighting against dragons when the enemies can use anti-magic barriers, and there is no internet on this world," Rain thought while he was testing the limits of the bow by firing several arrows upward. "Maybe I can fire arrows toward the other cities to deliver messages faster…"
While Rain was joking, he truly was tired of not having quick means of conversation over long distances…. why can't he create spells like that with a single thought? It was because the paths system didn't allow it. In that sense, that was helpful since dragons would be able to create all sorts of crazy techniques over the years… even though they already had some.
An unknown skill leveled up.
The Berserker's path received 150 experience points.
After using the bow for a while, Rain confirmed that he couldn't sell the arrows and become even richer… they only lasted for five minutes… he probably could use them to scam some people, but his reputation was better than a few coins.
"I guess this is some sort of projection magic that uses the materials of the bow as a source to transform raw mana into something that can exist for a short while," Rain thought. "It is a neat skill… it would be awesome if I could learn it and create forearm guards made of vibranium or something." Your next chapter is on empire
Rain already learned what he could have learned about the bow… even with magic eyes, he couldn't understand the process, he could only see the final result and assume the process.
While Rain was waiting for something to happen, he was reading more reports… Although Terra just sent them the tips on how to use Greed Vow, it seemed that a bunch of people were able to use it already… all of them were old members of the raging phoenix… they had been using magic for a while, so maybe that was the reason for it.
"I suppose it is time for the next step… The sea dragon's technique is…" Rain thought and then he saw another report coming in from the port town. "This doesn't sound good…"
Orcis and Lorene had already sent their report for the morning, and when that usually happens, it is clear that trouble was brewing. It was snowing there and people have seen ice dragons flying around there… it was a terrible combination since the sea folk didn't like cold that much.
"They must be working together… the sea dragons and the ice dragons, to take down the sea folk," Rain thought. "The snow must be a large-scale spell that will eventually turn that area into a sea of icebergs. Despite that, Seadir and Seadrei didn't ask for help… well, what now?"
Rain had to make his decision, and he had to make it fast… time was off the essence.
