Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

After clarifying the issue on the "annex" with the headmaster, I went out of the villa again and this time, I went my way to the library. I dropped some of the gifts with the head librarian as a sign of goodwill when he let me keep one of the private study rooms, the biggest one at that, as my personal laboratory and space. He thanks me for the gifts and did not linger further to give me some time to do what I needed inside the library.

I went up to my personal study room that I have not visited for quite some time. As I opened the door, the first thing that welcomed me was the familiar scent of herbs, ink and old books. I was thankfully I had the presence of mind to cast preservation and basic self-clraning spells on this place from the start or else I will be spending the whole day cleaning this place up.

For a workaholic woman like me, I usually use work to ease my mind and to get rid of stress so this is the first place I thought of going to after getting all upset and angry earlier. I started setting up my laboratory equipment to dry up some herbs and make some of my concoctions. It is just in time to make my personal hygiene and cleaning products for my personal and family use.

I started processing some of the precious herbs that are still inside my storage space. I kept some of them fresh to use for the hygiene and cleaning products and then dried up the rest. I should deliver this to Uncle Daejung by tomorrow. I don't want him to get tired processing herbs that are sold in their dried form so I usually only send the ones that are sold freshly picked.

The work in front of me effectively calmed my mind, stopped me from overthinking and being pessimistic. It was as if I was in a trance and I did not even notice that the sun has already set outside and it has started to turn dark. My body doesn't get tired that much and I do not need constant drinking or eating so it has always been hard to stop me from working once I have started to get in the zone.

With no one to stop me from what I was doing, I only stopped doing my laboratory work because I have used up all the herbs that needed processing just in time when the first rays of the sun has come out in the sky. I lifted my arms and made a full body stretch then started cleaning up around the laboratory. I placed everything else in my storage for delivery in a bit.

As for the sheer amount of hygiene products that I have just produced, I have already distributed it inside the shared storage spaces that I created with my husbands. I always love the convenience of it. It beats even the fastest shipping provider in my previous world and my current world as well.

I went out of my personal study room and the library in a jolly mood. The academe is currently like a ghost town since it is the one week long vacation in between semesters. Only staff and attendants that live in the academe are present.

I went back to my villa to take a shower since I totally smell like different herbs, roots, a mix of fragrances and smoke. I have to at least smell clean and presentable when I go to the magic tower later. It is about time to settle whatever is due with that guy I promised to answer when I come back to Hoffen City.

After freshening myself up, I immediately walked out of the gates of the academe. Though I take pride in being naughty and making others feel nervous most of the time, it seems that I am the one feeling nervous this time.

I stopped by Uncle Daejung's shop first to give him all the herbs that I have dried processed last night but I guess I was too early since the old man was still asleep. It was his son, Dongmin, who was cleaning up the store and preparing it before it gets opened for the day whom greeted me politely. He looked stunned at my arrival since I did not give any heads up about it. He stuttered like the adorable guy he was and asked if I needed to talk with his father. I told him its fine since I am just dropping by to add some to the inventory.

His face reddened for some reason and he ushered me to the place where the inventory was kept. I looked at him in amusement and the guy ran back to the front to continue cleaning, not meeting my eyes again. It was funny since the guy we are talking about is a muscular, rugged looking, cold faced and high ranking adventurer but he is a stuttering boy in front of me.

It only took me a few minutes to finish off loading the herbs. I approached Dongmin silently from behind then tapped his shoulder that made the guy jump in surprise. I chuckled as I gave him my goodbyes, walking out of the herb shop while I was doing so.

My next stop was finally the magic tower. I feel like going home instead of moving forward so I ended up lingering near the entrance a bit without making a single step inside. Eventually, I decided to sneak in and go to the room of questions instead.

I couldn't help but smile involuntarily as I saw the familiar board that always looked quite full no matter how many questions I answer. Sometimes I wonder if anybody even bothers to help out and answers these questions like I do.

Like I always did, I started picking out questions from the side of the board with the oldest dated questions. I picked out about 10 of them and looked for a table and chair to starting working from. I chose a place that was a bit secluded so that people coming into the magic tower do not see me from the outside of the room.

As usual, since I was busy working again, I sometimes lose track of time and my surroundings. I read each question diligently and wrote my answers on the blank sheets of paper provided in one of the boxes inside the room. I was not in a hurry at all, making sure my answers are complete and easy to understand. I even included detailed steps on how the researchers can verify my answers and confirm its accuracy.

When I was finally done with the tenth question and looked up, what I saw first was a pair of eyes staring at me with some hint of disappointment in them. I did not notice when he came in and sat in front of me but here he was, Keeran. The man that I was supposed to meet before I got distracted with answering questions in this room again is now in front of me.

I smiled at him guiltily then stood up from my seat. I hurriedly tidied up all the papers scattered all around the table due to me working with many questions on one go. He proactively helped me put the papers in one stack and then he gave them to me.

I took the papers from his hands and smiled again. I then hurriedly turned around to make my way to the boxes where answers are placed. He followed closely behind me as if he was scared that I will suddenly bolt out on him and disappear.

After I have placed the stack of papers in the box, I felt a tug on my clothes as his hands clamped on a part of my clothes by my waist. I looked back at him in confusion and he didn't even have the courage to look me in the eye after clinging to me. I stopped moving and just stared at him. Instead of letting go of my clothes, he clung to it tighter as his face, neck and ears gradually turn redder by the second due to embarrassment.

I ended up chuckling instead of being irritated at him. Why do these men turn silly whenever they have to deal with me or anything I do?

I grabbed his hand, pulled it away from my clothes and held on to it tight instead. I started walking towards the exit to leave the room of beginnings while pulling Keeran out with me. I looked back at the guy and he was looking in our clamped hands in a daze.

We walked across the wide floor area of the magic tower library which covers the entire first floor of the tower then towards the "elevator" thing that works through mana. I had to call his name several times to get him back to the present and that's when he realized we are already standing inside one of the elevator things. He looked at me in confusion and asked, "Where are we going?"

I smiled at him with a naughty glint in my eyes and replied, "We need to talk, right? How about your room then?" He looked at me in surprise but still nodded his head absent mindedly.
