chapter 8.2
Haewon unbuckled his belt and lowered his zipper. Slipping his hand inside, he leaned his forehead against his own, his breath hot and visible as his slightly parted, flushed lips breathed out.
He slid his hand over the sticky, hot flesh. His flesh column hardened stubbornly. He pressed sharply on the boundary of pleasure. Their foreheads parted. Haewon gazed up at him distantly, licking his wet lips with his tongue.
"Turn around."
The man, whose endurance was tested, demanded in a subdued voice. No, he commanded. Haewon flipped over, supporting himself on the seat with his knees and gripping the backrest. He took off his pants. And then he pulled Haewon's underwear aside.
It wasn't yet the weather to turn on the air conditioning, so the heat and humidity from their bodies made the car's interior oppressively hot and damp. He pulled up Haewon's shirt until his back was fully exposed. It was an ambiguous state of being neither fully dressed nor undressed.
As he touched the back, he moistened below with saliva and then thrust inside. His hot form overwhelmed Haewon.
"Ugh...!"
Haewon bit his lip. His body felt like it would collapse under the weight pressing down on him. His arms barely held him up, trembling. He thrust inside rapidly and forcefully. It seemed to be his preference now. He controlled the situation and his own libido with strong force, holding tightly to the steering wheel with one hand and forcefully lifting from below with the other, pulling on Haewon's hair.
"Ah!"
His head was thrown back. It felt like his neck might break. Hyun Woojin turned Haewon's head and kissed him. His tongue ravaged Haewon's mouth as if plunging below. Haewon parted his lips further, trying to rub as much of his tongue as he could.
His movements became hotter and more intense. A pleasure that felt like it was striking his lower body surged through him. His breathing grew rough. The pouring heat from his bare back seemed to blow his mind. A desperate moan escaped.
It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, stop, please stop.
Haewon pleaded. The only sounds filling the car were the slap of wet flesh against flesh as he stretched the underwear to its limits. Hyun Woojin leaned over, covering Haewon's back. His firm chest and stomach stuck to Haewon's sweaty back, rippling together. It seemed to pull away for a moment only to thrust up again.
"Ugh!"
Haewon's supporting arms collapsed, and his upper body fell against the backrest. His heated cheek was pressed against the headrest. Hyun Woojin straightened Haewon's waist and drove into him with even more forceful and relentless power.
Haewon screamed. At the climax, he suddenly stopped the thrusting waist and pulled out his burning-hot penis. His limbs trembled as if in a spasm. He spilled his semen on Haewon's bare back and buttocks. His breath also poured out in that instant. The hot fluid ran down his spine, wetting the crease of his buttocks and trickling down the back of his thighs.
"Haah, haah..."
Haewon curled up as if dead. His arms were too drained to hold any strength. He rolled down a window. Fresh air rushed in. Goosebumps rose on his bare skin.
As the cold air gradually brought back his senses, he adjusted his lower body and Hyun Woojin returned to the driver's seat. Haewon slowly stood up, the hot fluid tickling his skin as it slowly trickled down.
"Tissue."
Barely able to form the word with his exhausted lips, Hyun Woojin opened the dashboard and pulled out a tissue, wiping between Haewon's wet back and buttocks. Haewon felt a strange sensation and stood still with his legs slightly apart.
Hyun Woojin deliberately took his time wiping up and down between the buttocks. Haewon flinched. Soon after, Hyun Woojin wiped the tissue over the buttocks and lower back. Only then did Haewon pull down his shirt, which had rolled up to his armpits, straighten his stretched underwear, and pull up his pants. Dressed, he turned around and straightened the backrest.
For a fleeting moment, his fingers trembled with the hot afterglow that had swept through his body. He turned to look at him. The wind coming in through the open window took away Hyun Woojin's sweat and heat. He sat there with a detached expression, as if nothing had happened. When the ventilation was complete, he closed the window. The sound of the flowing river and the wind abruptly ceased, and the noise returned to a lull.
"I'll take you there."
"Going into the prosecutor's office today too?"
"I left in the middle of reviewing a case. There's a duty officer. I have to stay put until twelve."
"Can I go out?"
He shifted gears. The car smoothly rolled backwards. After backing up a suitable distance, he braked and then shifted to drive forward again. The Han River bridge where they had made love receded in the rearview mirror.
"How far are you going to follow me and interfere? Do you know how much time I waste because of you?"
Hyun Woojin occasionally said things in such a way that it upset Haewon. Haewon glared at him resentfully.
"Did I ask to meet?"
"Yeah, I asked to meet."
He sometimes pleaded, but today it was Hyun Woojin who had called first to have dinner, and after dinner, it naturally led to their bodies mingling, whether in the car or the officetel.
It couldn't just be wrapped up in ten minutes. As they touched and felt each other, time slipped away hopelessly, two hours, three hours, and sometimes even that felt too short. He didn't feel great when he just cut it off and left, but what upset him more was Hyun Woojin's complaints about not getting anything done because of him.
"Want to come over?"
"Forget it, sir."
Haewon coldly dismissed the insincere offer.

"Don't lie. Does it make sense that you don't have a summer vacation?"
—Really, I don't have time to rest right now.
"Come to sleep here? Is my officetel some kind of hotel? Are you coming to satisfy your libido?"
Unable to hold back, Haewon finally blurted out the words he had been cautiously guarding. That was his behavior. He said they should have a fancy dinner outside, but he was too busy; he suggested going on a trip because it was summer, but he had no vacation. Such a busy man only came to his officetel at one or two in the morning, full to bursting like rats scurrying in and out at night, and then disappeared by morning.
Haewon had stayed up late on purpose just to see Hyun Woojin's face one more time. But that didn't mean Hyun Woojin came every day when Haewon was awake, he only came when he wanted. Haewon was no longer a carefree freelancer. He was an orchestra member and had to go to work, but because of Hyun Woojin, staying up until dawn had become a habit, and getting up in the morning was consistently a struggle.
He went to such lengths, yet Hyun Woojin again dismissed the words Haewon had struggled to express as just an excuse for work. There are supposed to be two thousand prosecutors at the prosecutor's office, but he acted as busy as if he did all the prosecutor's work himself.
—If I don't satisfy my libido, it doesn't matter, why bother going all the way there. I really would just sleep, I wouldn't go there. Go to my officetel.
"Then I'll go alone."
—Don't go.
"......"
Even though he was alone, Haewon stubbornly insisted on taking a summer vacation, and he was softly stopped by Hyun Woojin's gentle voice. He was the kind of man Haewon wanted to hit at times, wanted to hug, wanted to push away, yet also wanted to cling to.
"―Don't go anywhere. Stay there."
"Are you telling me to wait in bed, behaving nicely, in case you want to do something? Not go anywhere, just stay locked up at home for days?"
"―I told you, it's not that I want to, it's that I can't. I can't leave because I want to see you. Don't go anywhere."
"……."
"―Once this ongoing investigation is over, I'll make time for you."
"When? This winter?"
"……."
The fact that he couldn't answer meant that even he couldn't promise that. Oh my god, Haewon muttered inwardly, already half-giving up on going anywhere with him.
It wasn't that he was being petty and didn’t want him to go because he couldn’t, but he didn’t want to complain to someone who said he couldn’t leave because he wanted to see him.
Haewon's sharp emotions gradually softened, and soon his heart felt warm and fuzzy. Hyun Woojin was like a thousand-year-old fox when it came to this. Haewon had no way of handling him. Even if his heart was hurt, with just a few words from Hyun Woojin, his mood would miraculously improve.
That didn't mean he was trying to please anyone; Hyun Woojin just did whatever he wanted, and even though Haewon was selfish enough to get upset by it, Hyun Woojin had the negotiation skills to make Haewon submit.
No matter how sweet he spoke, Haewon was supposed to be angry, but with just a few words, he melted, and Haewon found himself smiling, though he didn’t hate it.
"Let’s really go skiing this winter. We should work while taking some breaks. Can you ski?"
"―I'm too scared of injuring my hands to drive, how would I ski?"
"Just wear gloves."
Haewon imagined him skiing. The image of Hyun Woojin speeding down the white snowfields made Haewon feel proud just from the thought.
"……Have you eaten dinner?"
"―Just a sandwich."
"Will that be enough? You’ll be wasting away if you keep this up."
"―I have a meeting to get to. We need to hang up."
"Okay... hey."
Before Haewon could say anything more, the call ended. He wanted to hit something. This was making him crazy. Hyun Woojin was playing with his emotions. Haewon looked down at the screen of his phone that had been abruptly disconnected.
He thought of buying something, since he might show up today. Hyun Woojin might cook, but he never had time to stock Haewon’s fridge with ingredients. Haewon grabbed his wallet and phone, getting up.
After stopping by a nearby supermarket on his way back from working out, Haewon’s bags were quite heavy. He felt the weight in both hands as he stepped out of the elevator, but then he froze.
The scene unfolding before his eyes made him swallow nervously. One hand holding a briefcase, the other tucked in his dress pants pocket, standing before him was Kim Jaemin, who should have been in America, facing Hyun Woojin.
"I think you're referring to the person who lived here before. They moved out a long time ago."
"Oh, I see. Sorry for the intrusion. Well, then."
It seemed like Kim Jaemin had come looking for him, and Hyun Woojin was lying, saying Haewon had moved out. Their conversation was clear enough for Haewon to overhear. Kim Jaemin nodded toward Hyun Woojin and turned to leave. Haewon tried to avoid him, turning his head with the bags in his hands, but froze.
"Haewon."
"……."
Kim Jaemin’s face lit up, and he walked toward Haewon, who was standing in front of the closed elevator doors. Hyun Woojin also looked back at Haewon. He just stared at him silently.
The silence, with no threat or warning, was far more uncomfortable to Haewon than any kind of confrontation.
"I heard you moved out. What happened?"
"……What? Didn’t I make it clear I wouldn’t be seeing you again after you left my place in such a mess?"
"What? What do you mean by that?"
"You don’t know what I’m talking about? Forget it. I’m leaving. I have no intention of seeing you again."
"Back then, I made a mistake. I shouldn’t have come after you like that."
"I’m seeing someone now."
"……."
Kim Jaemin, who had been overjoyed to see him, turned around when Haewon said that. His eyes met Hyun Woojin’s. Hyun Woojin, looking at them calmly, unlocked the door and entered the apartment.
"That person said you moved out. Did I make a mistake?"
Kim Jaemin's expression turned awkward. Hyun Woojin, who had already entered the apartment, stared at the spot where he had been standing, awkwardly looking at Haewon with an apologetic gaze.
Haewon also looked at the door of his apartment where Hyun Woojin had entered. He was at a loss. Hyun Woojin had a tendency to treat the men Haewon had been with like they were nothing.
"How many times do I have to tell you that showing up without any notice is rude?"
A sense of disgust rose in Haewon towards Kim Jaemin, who had put him in this awkward position.
"I sent you several emails, but you didn’t check any of them. I tried calling you over and over. I came because of work. I have a great track for you, so I sent the demo, but you should have at least gotten in touch."
"You said you weren’t doing this anymore. Just go."
"Listen to me. It’s a track that would suit you."
"……."
"It’s for work. Don’t misunderstand."
Kim Jaemin, who had been staring at Haewon without saying anything, sighed when Haewon didn’t respond.
"It’s nothing. I came back to Korea because I have things to handle with the record company. I couldn’t get in touch with you, so I came to find you. The email I sent is for the album I’ll be working on this winter. If you’re interested, get in touch. You know my number, right?"
"Just go."
"Your stubbornness... Fine. At least listen to it."
"I said I’m not doing this anymore."
Kim Jaemin, who had ruined his apartment and now had the nerve to come back and offer him work, made Haewon sick to his stomach. How could someone like him exist?
Kim Jaemin shook his head at Haewon, who was looking at him like an enemy, and left with a cold expression as he got into the elevator.
After Kim Jaemin left, Haewon stood °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° there for a while, unmoving, before trudging off.
Hyun Woojin was sitting at the table, going through documents. His heartbeat was irregular. Haewon had to quietly watch him, trying to calm his own nerves. He held back the urge to make some awkward excuse. He hadn’t done anything wrong. He never imagined Kim Jaemin would show up again, especially not when Hyun Woojin would run into him.
"I was a bit late. I went to the gym and then stopped by the market."
"……."
It was Hyun Woojin who had come unannounced, yet Haewon was making excuses for being late. He casually put away the ingredients he bought, glancing at Hyun Woojin, who had his back to him.
"……He came to give me a track. He said he tried to call me and emailed me, but I didn’t answer, so he came to talk about it."
"Can you make me some coffee?"
"Uh? Okay."
Haewon quickly made the coffee. He poured it into a mug and brought it to him politely. Hyun Woojin took the coffee without taking his eyes off the documents. Haewon, who had been standing quietly, couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. He didn’t understand why he had to be so uneasy, watching him. He relaxed his expression and stood with his legs crossed.
Hyun Woojin hadn’t kept his chastity until he met Haewon. He had even been engaged before. If anyone had a deeper relationship with him, it would have been Hyun Woojin, not Haewon. Most of Haewon’s past relationships were one-offs. Hyun Woojin had been the first one he’d been with for long enough to change seasons.
It could be that Hyun Woojin was indifferent, just sitting silently, but Haewon couldn’t stand the silence.
