Izumi Miyamura: Xover

Chapter 59: Izumi Miyamura: Xover - Chapter 58

"Now let's continue with the awards ceremony!!" Midnight's voice rang out throughout the stadium, even with the fireworks going off and the crowd cheering at the top of their lungs, "it's time to award the medals! And the one who will be awarding the medals this year is naturally, none other than-"" "IT'S ME!!! AND HERE I AM WITH THE MEDALS!! " "-our hero All Might."

I snorted loudly, there were things that didn't change at all. All Might had fallen from the sky to make an epic entrance crashing into Midnight's performance. After an apology session from both of them, the awards ceremony continued. All Might stood in front of Azula as he placed the bronze medal around her neck.

" CONGRATULATIONS, YOUNG AZULA! YOU OVERCOME UNFAVORABLE DUELS BY TRAINING YOUR OWN STRENGTH, YOUR OWN POTENTIAL, AS WELL AS YOUR QUIRK. THOSE GAVE YOU THE CHANCE TO WIN, YOU JUST HAVE TO TRY HARDER FROM HERE ON! " All Might congratulated Azula.

"Thank you All Might." Azula simply nodded, though she had a proud smile on her face as she stood completely straight, the military training kicking in. All Might nodded in her direction once more. He then stood in front of Taylor.

" YOUNG HEBERT, CONGRATULATIONS! " All Might congratulated as he placed the silver medal around her neck. " I HAVE A GREAT LOVE FOR AMERICA AND I AM REALLY HAPPY TO SEE SOMEONE FROM THERE MANAGED TO GET AS FAR AS YOU HAVE, YOUNG HEBERT!" YOU USED ALL YOUR STRENGTH AND ALL THE TRICKS AT YOUR DISPOSAL AND YOU REMAINED STANDING EVEN WHEN YOUR BODY WAS CRUMBLING DOWN, BE PROUD OF YOUR SKILLS FOR MAKING IT THIS FAR !

I grimaced slightly and looked at Taylor, she just had a soft, happy smile. Eh… maybe her problem was just with the PRT and the people in positions of power there, that's good to know.

"Thanks," Taylor said happily. All Might tapped Taylor's shoulder several times before finally noticing me.

"YOUNG MIYAMURA." All Might began. "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE THE UNDISPUTED WINNER OF THIS COMPETITION, YOU REMAINED TOP IN ALL THE COMPETITIONS. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE A LOT IN THE FUTURE, WELL DONE. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE IN THE NEXT YEARS."

All Might placed the gold medal around my neck.

"It's an honor to hear your words, All Might," I said as I nodded in his direction, All Might smiled widely and turned to the audience.

" AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, THIS YEAR, THERE ARE THREE!! BUT PAY ATTENTION!! THERE WAS A CHANCE FOR EVERYONE IN THIS ARENA TO STAND HERE!! IT IS JUST AS YOU HAVE SEEN IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES!! THEY COMPETED!! THEY MOTIVATED EACH OTHER!! EVERYONE WENT HIGHER, REACHING FURTHER!! "

"THE NEXT GENERATION OF HEROES WILL SURELY BRING TO LIFE THE SEEDS PLANTED THIS DAY!!"

By the way, I was forgetting that, to intervene or not to intervene, that is the dilemma.

" AND ALONG WITH THAT FEELING, I WILL ADD ONE MORE THING, PUBLISH, SAY IT WITH ME NOW!! "

Hey, why not.

"Plus ultra" I muttered low enough for All Might to hear, he glanced at me questioningly, my expression must have conveyed enough because he turned once more towards the audience and raised his arm with his finger extended forcefully.

""""PLUS ULTRA!!!!"""""

The entire stadium roared in unison with All Might, causing the entire stadium to rumble. I smirked as All Might gave me a discreet look of gratitude.

The rest of the tournament's completion passed almost in a blur. Aizawa led us to our dorms where he told us that we had the next two days off, that we were free to do anything, even go back to our homes temporarily. And since today was Monday, I would have Tuesday and Wednesday off, but we would have to come back on Thursday to continue classes.

"Are you guys staying at the dorms?" Ruby asked, bouncing in place. "Mom just texted me. Aunt Raven finally finished the mission she was on, so I'm going back to Mom's house and then we're going to Patch to visit the family!" Ruby said happily.

"Taylor and I were thinking about heading back to the house for the break too. It would be nice to catch up with Mom," I said simply, Taylor nodded absentmindedly.

"I'll be staying in the dorms, I'm completely ignoring my phone, my brother hasn't stopped calling me since the tournament ended and I have no intention of answering his calls." Azula huffed as she crossed her arms. "Though I'll have to answer before he decides to come all the way to Japan for some reason or worse, sends Beifong to bother me." She growled. I hummed lightly.

"In that case, do you want to come home with us?" I asked in Azula's direction, Azula stopped stiffly as her eyes widened.

"A... your house? Do you want to introduce me to your mother? " Azula asked incredulously, tilting her head.

" Yeah ? Why wouldn't I want to? Taylor lived with us for the past year and she's also met Ruby a few times, the only one missing is you." I said as if it was obvious, Azula looked completely confused.

"Just come, that way you'll also have an excuse to continue avoiding your family's calls." Taylor said amusedly. Azula's eyes sparkled slightly before she smiled.

"Well, I guess if that's the case, Zuko can't be upset if I'm meeting my fiancé's family," Azula said amusedly. The three of us laughed along with her. "Okay, I'll go with you," Azula finally said, though I could hear some tension in her words.

"Don't worry, Iori will love you!" Ruby assured with a smile and a thumbs up. "She's always giving me cookies!" she added happily, Taylor snorted in amusement.

"I don't think it can be called love if a person gives you cookies," Taylor pointed out amusedly. Ruby looked at her like she was crazy.

"And why else would a person give cookies to another?" she asked almost scandalized, I burst out laughing as did Azula, Taylor was smiling.

"And you, Tay?" Ruby asked curiously. Taylor tilted her head questioningly. "Did you talk to your parents?" Ruby clarified.

"Huh? Izumi already told you that we're going to see mom during the break" Taylor said confused, my smile grew huge. Ruby just shook her head.

"Not Izumi's mother, your parents." Ruby clarified, Taylor stopped stiffly before blushing completely, I suppressed a laugh but she still glared at me before sighing.

"No… not really, I didn't even tell her about the tournament, you know things are… tense between us." Taylor explained with a grimace, Ruby grimaced too, but nodded.

"Sorry to ask." Ruby said softly, Taylor shook her head.

"Don't worry, I don't really talk to them often, just a few messages every week or two. Maybe more," Taylor said honestly. "It's… hard to have a relationship with them when they practically let me get exiled to another country." Taylor said bitterly.

"Ignore them, they're idiots." Azula said as she looked away, I guess that was her way of comforting Taylor.

"Azula's right! They're wrong, and they're going to regret it when they see replays of you being super rude at the festival! " Ruby encouraged excitedly. Taylor snorted in amusement.

"Thank you" Taylor said simply to both of them, Azula nodded while Ruby continued to babble about the tournament before gasping and looking at me with wide eyes.

"Can you make me some cookies to take out during break?! I want my family to try your cookies! " Ruby said as she hugged me and pouted. "Please?!" she begged. I chuckled.

"I'll make you a cake, if I make cookies you won't make it to Patch. And they're going to travel through instant portals." I said mockingly. Ruby ignored my mockery and simply extended both arms.

"Yay!!" Ruby cheered before hugging me tightly. "Thanks!!" I shook my head playfully as I patted Ruby's head.

"When are you leaving?" I asked curiously.

"In a few hours, Mom will come to pick me up at night, it will be around noon when we get to Patch because of the time change." Ruby said, I hummed while doing several mental calculations.

"So, why don't I go get your cake ready real quick and you take care of getting all your luggage properly, and let's just say, then I'll go to your room and we'll say 'goodbye' properly until Summer comes?" I asked in Ruby's direction while looking at Ruby predatorily. Ruby looked confused for a split second before she blushed slightly. She bit her lip and looked at Taylor and Azula.

"Y-you don't mind if-" Ruby tried to say nervously, Taylor rolled her eyes.

"Just go, we'll have Izumi for the next two days." Taylor said simply, Azula shrugged. Ruby practically disappeared from her spot, hugging Taylor and Azula tightly before leaving in a red blur. "Thanks!" Ruby's voice came from the distance. I snorted in amusement.

"We're also going out at night, after Ruby leaves, we'll have to call a taxi or something." I told Taylor and Azula.

"I'll take care of it," Taylor said simply, and I nodded in her direction. With that I headed towards the kitchen. I had to start baking in record time to get to Ruby's room.

-----------

After saying goodbye to Ruby who looked completely exhausted but had a huge smile on her face, we boarded the vehicle to drive home. I unlocked the door with my key and entered the house without much fanfare.

"We're home!" I shouted loudly into the house. I could hear heavy footsteps approaching quickly. My mother appeared and paused for a few moments before glaring at us.

"You!" Mom growled as she looked at... Taylor who was standing behind me. Taylor looked confused and took a step back when Mom walked towards her with heavy steps. She barely reacted when Mom reached out her hand towards her.

"ow, ow, ow, ow!" Taylor moaned in pain, Mom was pulling Taylor's ear.

"How dare you poison my son, young lady!" Mom exclaimed furiously. Taylor only moaned in pain as she twisted her ear even further. I snorted in amusement.

"Ha, I knew I was her favorite!" I exclaimed happily in Taylor's direction, only for Mom to turn to glare at me with the same fury, extending her free hand towards me.

"Ow, ow, ow! It hurts, mom!! " I exclaimed in pain while mom now twisted my ear, without letting go of Taylor.

"And you, young man! How dare you use such attacks against my daughter! "Do you have something to say?! " my mother exclaimed in my direction. I gave her an indignant look at the same time Taylor smirked at me.

"Are you more worried about her than I am?!" I exclaimed indignantly.

"And the real favorite comes to light," Taylor said arrogantly.

""AU, AU, AU!!"" Mom twisted both of our ears which made us both shut up before letting go. We both immediately started massaging our sore ear. Mom lunged at us and hugged us both.

"I was worried about you both. I'm glad you're okay," Mom said softly, Taylor and I glanced at each other before smiling and hugging Mom back.

"We're okay mom, we're home." I said softly. Mom just tightened her hug before pulling away. Out of nowhere her smile grew.

"Leaving that aside, congratulations to both of you! First and second place! I'm so proud of both of you! " You did spectacularly! " Mom congratulated with a smile.

"Thanks, Mom," Taylor said with a soft smile. Mom nodded and finally looked over our shoulder. Azula had stood in the doorway looking at us awkwardly.

"I suppose you must be Azula, my son's new fiancée." Mom said, taking a step forward. Azula stood at attention with a completely solemn expression.

"Yes ma'am, I am Azula, daughter of Ozai, princess of the Fire Nation. It is a pleasure to meet you." Azula greeted politely, she placed her hands in front of her in greeting before bowing. I snorted in amusement almost unconsciously, I could see Azula's eye twitch slightly but it didn't move.

"I'm sorry you have to put up with my son," Mom said apologetically, and I looked at her indignantly.

"Don't worry ma'am, I knew what I was getting into, unfortunately." Azula said in a defeated tone. I rolled my eyes now.

"Haha, how funny." I said to both of them, my mother gave me a mocking smile while Azula smiled lightly, although she hadn't gotten up from her position yet.

"You may stand up, no need to bow." My mother said simply, Azula nodded and finally stood up. "Now go, we have a lot to talk about." Mom said simply, Azula nodded. "Have you had dinner? I can prepare something if you need to." Mom said as she looked at all of us. I shook my head.

"No need, we already had dinner in the dorms, I'd rather go to sleep, we had a long day, we can talk tomorrow." I said to Mom, she paused for a few moments before nodding.

"Alright, you two can go rest, Izumi, show Azula to the guest room if you need to. I'm taking the day off tomorrow, we can talk then." Mom said simply "Have a good night, Azula, make yourself at home, if you have any questions just ask Izumi where everything is. And by the way, congratulations on third place." Mom said as she looked at all of us before congratulating Azula with a smile. With that, Mom said goodbye once more before turning around and heading to her room.

"Well, that went well," I said simply, Azula let out a sigh.

"We still have to survive the next two days." Azula said pessimistically, I rolled my eyes.

"Don't be dramatic, you'll do fine," I said simply. "Now, follow me, I'll show you your room."
