Final step.

News of Asano's abuse of power spread quickly among students and teachers. The principal eventually intervened and launched an internal investigation.

However, despite the strong evidence gathered, the final decision was far from satisfying.

"Asano will receive a temporary sanction and will be prohibited from being involved in students' academic processes for some time," announced one of the senior teachers after the investigation concluded.

Rei clenched her fists upon hearing this. "A temporary sanction?!"

Lucas, standing beside her, remained calm but could clearly see how furious Rei was.

"He's been abusing his power all this time, and they're only giving him a light punishment?!" she nearly shouted.

Asano, sitting in the corner of the room, maintained a neutral expression, but there was a faint glint in his eyes, as if he hadn't given up just yet.

After the meeting ended, Rei stormed out of the room, clearly struggling to contain her anger. Lucas quickly followed her and managed to stop her in the hallway.

"Hey, don't let this get the best of you," Lucas said, patting her shoulder.

Rei glared at him. "How am I supposed to stay calm? He should've been fired! Now he can still come back and do the same thing all over again!"

Lucas took a deep breath before speaking, his tone calm but firm. "Listen, I don't like this decision either. But this isn't over."

Rei frowned. "What do you mean?"

Lucas leaned against the wall, looking at her seriously. "Asano might still be around for now, but people like him can't hide forever. Now that everyone knows what he's done, every move he makes will be watched. If he dares to repeat his mistakes, he won't get away next time."

Rei bit her lip, still frustrated but beginning to understand what Lucas was saying.

"Trust me," Lucas continued. "People like him always fall. It's just a matter of time."

Rei stared at him for a few seconds before letting out a long sigh. "I hope you're right..."

Lucas smirked. "I'm always right."

Rei just shook her head, but her expression was much calmer than before.

Even though Asano was still a threat, Lucas knew that true victory lay in patience. And when the time came, Asano would face the consequences of everything he had done.
