KILLER IN THE SHADOWS

Ethan's phone buzzed, and he quickly checked it. It was a message from an unknown number, saying they had work for him to do. He stood up, looked at Ava, and said, "Ehm, Ava, my sister just had an accident and my attention is needed right now."

Ava looked up at him"oh so sorry about that,you can go!"

Kira walked in, smiling, and headed towards Ava's table. "Guess what?" she said.

Ava, typing on her computer, replied, "You know what? Just go straight to the point. I'm busy right now."

Kira teased, "Oh gosh, Ava, your life is so boring."

Ava stopped typing and asked, "Kira, what do you want from me? What is it?"

Kira announced, "I have spoken to the chief, and he has agreed to give you two days off."

Ava nearly screamed, "What? Two days off? Like, two days off?"

Kira said, "Look, the permission has been granted, so don't you dare set up a wall. Besides, I'm heading up now. We'll talk later, okay? Bye, bye, bye."

As Kira walked away, most of the police officers looked at her, thanking her, "Oh, thank you for the food."

Ava waved her hands"No problem, no problem."

Kira blew an invisible kiss to Ava and walked away. Ava shook her head, saying, "Oh God, this girl will never change. She doesn't give up; she goes to any length to get what she wants."

Kira suddenly came back. Ava asked, "What is it?"

Kira whispered to ava, "What about that handsome colleague of yours?"

Ava stood up, looking at Kira angrily. Kira raised her hand and said, "Okay, fine. I'm going, I'm going. But that doesn't mean I won't see him some other time. Bye!"

Ethan strolled through the hallways of the police station, checking the details again. He headed out to his car and zoomed off, driving to his house. There, he found Sam eating chips in the sitting room,Sam was a person he had hired, as she didn't have anywhere to go. Ethan discovered she had incredible hacking skills, so he decided to hire her for his own purposes.

Ethan's aim was to make more money from the dirty jobs he was doing and leave the country as soon as he makes more money. As soon as Sam saw him, she stood up and greeted him. Ethan ignored her

He reached for his laptop and started typing. The message came up again, and he saw that he received it from the strange name "retono hushwood" The message asked, "Are you the Shadow Killer?" Ethan replied, "Yes, I am the Shadow Killer. What do you want me to do for you?"

The message replied, "There's somebody getting in my way. I want you to get rid of that person." Ethan said, "If you want me to get rid of a person, it's..." He mentioned a huge amount of money.

He then said, tell me, what's the person's name? Tell me, how do you want the person to die? Do you want the person to inhale poison? Do you want the person to be thrown off a cliff? Do you want the person to be stabbed? Do you want the person to be shot?" He listed different methods.

The message replied, "Anyone you think will be suitable, anyone you think will be slow and not noticeable."

Then the picture came up and he laughed,it was a familiar face,julian... The same man who with his father gave him contracts.

"Why do you want this person dead?" Ethan typed

"Just get rid of him!" The message came in.

"When will I get my money" Ethan typed

"Now" the message came in again

Soon an alert came in,Ethan checked it out and it was complete.

This time around Ethan decided to wear a coat instead of a hoodie

Ethan took a glass and a face cap and wore it. He took his car and set off, heading to the TM Corporation.

Ethan headed to the TM Corporation. The secretary tried to stop him and asked, "Who are you?"

He replied, "I'm looking for Mister Julian."

The secretary asked, "Mister Julian? For what? Why are you looking for him?"

Ethan asked, "Isn't Mister Julian working here?"

The secretary insisted, "I need to know why you're looking for him."

Just then, Julian appeared, passing by and noticing the commotion. He asked the secretary, "What's going on?"

The secretary explained, "This young man here said he's looking for you, and I'm asking him for a reason, but he's not saying anything."

Julian intervened, saying, "Okay, just let him be. Let him come in."

Julian turned to Ethan and asked, "What do you want? Who are you?"

Ethan requested, "Can we go and talk in your office?"

Julian said, "Okay, fine. Let's go to my office."

As soon as they entered the office, Ethan locked the door. Julian asked, "What do you want to talk about?"

Before Julian could finish, Ethan pulled out a knife. Julian exclaimed, "Who are you?"

Ethan replied, "I was paid to get rid of you."

Julian asked, "Paid? What do you mean paid?"

Julian pleaded, "Okay, I can double the money. Whatever that person paid you, I can double it. Please don't kill me."

Ethan said, "Oh, you can double the money? Okay, fine. I'm waiting."

Julian asked for Ethan's account details, and Ethan provided them. Julian transferred the money, and Ethan looked at him, saying, "Okay, fine. Since you've doubled the money, I'll bring up an excuse. Money is everything, right?"

Ethan turned back sharply and stabbed Julian at the corner of his stomach. Then, Ethan said, "I can't just let you go free like that. At least, the person who sent me should know that you're in the hospital and that I've done something. So, that's that. It should just look like you actually survived it. You're welcome."

Ethan's words revealed his intention to make it seem like he had fulfilled the contract, while actually sparing Julian's life.

Ava was attending to file cases when Thomson rushed in, saying, "Ava, Ava, have you heard the news? Turn on the news!"

Ava took a remote and turned on the news. Most of the police officers nearby gathered to hear the news.

On TV, the news caster announced, "An unknown person stabbed Mister Julian in his office, and nobody knew who it was."

The secretary was interviewed on live TV. When asked if she saw the person's face, she replied, "No, the person was wearing a face cap, glasses, and a face mask."

She described the person's suspicious behavior, saying, "That's why I was questioning him, but since Mister Julian intervened, I allowed him to pass by."

When asked if she thought the strange person was the one who stabbed Mister Julian, she replied, "Yes, it's starting to look that way. Nobody else came to look for Mister Julian."

Ethan strolled in, sneaking in and standing at the corner. Then ava said to thompson, "Could it be the Shadow Killer?"

Then Thompson said, "I don't think it's the Shadow Killer, because the Shadow Killer always works at night. It may be someone who wants Julian dead and actually hired a hitman."
