KILLER IN THE SHADOWS

Kira was outside, intending to pick up a cab to head to a supermarket. She wanted to get a wine to celebrate the permission Ava had been granted.

As she was looking around for a cab, suddenly her bag was snatched. She yelled, "Oh my God, my bag has been snatched!" She was running after the thief, but she couldn't run well because she was wearing heeled boots.

She was shouting and yelling as she chased the thief. Then, another guy came from a sharp corner and caught the thief. Kira met up with them and held the thief, giving him a very dirty slap.

"How dare you! Do you know how much this bag cost?" she exclaimed, clearly angry.

Then, she looked at the stranger who had caught the thief and said, "Ah, thank you so much! Thank you so much!"

The strange guy asked, "Do you want to take him to the station?"

Kira replied, "Yes, you have to help me out. I'm taking this idiot to the station."

The guy nodded and said, "Okay."

Kira added, "My friend is a detective at that station over there. We're taking him there. Just help me out."

The guy agreed and held the struggling thief. Kira carried her bag and hit the thief's head with it, saying, "Come on, be still! If you're hungry and need money, can't you just go and beg? Why are you snatching bags? Am I the one who asked your parents to make you suffer?"

The thief was carried to the station where Ava worked. Ava was surprised to see Kira again, this time with to strangers.

Kira pushed the thief towards the detectives and said, "Please, deal with this guy. He snatched my bag! How dare he?"

The detectives stared at her, and Kira continued, "What are you guys doing? Do something! He snatched my bag! This kind-hearted guy here" – she pointed to the stranger – "helped me catch him. If not for him, my bag would have been gone. Do you know how much money was in there?"

Ava looked at the guys around her and said, "What are you doing? Grab him!"

The detectives held the thief and started interrogating him. The thief explained that he was hungry and needed something to eat.

Kira slapped him, but Ava stopped her, saying, "Kira, what's wrong with you? Why can't you control your temper? We're in a police station. Let us handle this."

Kira replied, "No, no, no! Don't tell me that rubbish! He snatched my bag! What if this stranger hadn't caught him? He would have taken my bag!"

As they continued interrogating the guy, they discovered that he was struggling to make ends meet. His parents were not late,and he was taking care of his 14-year-old sister alone.

After asking him his age and name, they found out that his name was David, and he was 21 years old. He shared that he had been working a menial job, but it wasn't paying well. He was framed, which led him to start stealing to survive.

Kira calmed down a bit and said, "At least you should have approached me and asked for help instead of snatching my bag. Now that you're in this situation, are you happy? If you're locked up, won't your sister die of hunger?"

Ava looked at Kira "calm down"

Kira took a deep breath and continued, "I'm calm, I'm just letting him know that stealing is not good."

Officer Thompson asked Kira, "So,do you want to arrest him?"

Kira replied, "Since he's shared his story and mentioned his kid sister, I'm not going to arrest him. I'll help him out instead, since I have the means."

She looked at David sternly and said, "But you must promise not to steal again. Stealing is not good; it tarnishes your name and image. If you steal and get caught, you'll end up in jail, and you'll regret it."

Kira's anger resurfaced as she thought about the incident. "My anger is that what if this stranger hadn't caught you? My money would have been gone! Do you know how much that bag is worth? You snatched it without any fear. Do you know how much money was in there? Do you know what I was planning to use that money for?"

David apologized and said, "I didn't mean to; I had no choice. I just did it without thinking of the consequences."

Kira said, "Okay, fine. Stand up, let me take you to a restaurant."

But David replied, "Instead of taking me to a restaurant, just give me the money."

Kira was taken aback. "Are you telling me what to do with my money? I want to take you to a restaurant, get you food, and then give you money to share with your sister."

Ava intervened, saying, "Kira, calm down; your temper is getting the better of you."

Kira composed herself and said, "Okay, fine." She walked away, with David and the stranger following her.

They reached a nearby spot, and Kira counted out some money, handing it to David. "Take this money home and use it as you see fit."

David thanked her and left. When he was gone, Kira turned to the stranger and said, "Thank you once again; you really saved the day."

The stranger replied, "No problem. I'll be going; I'll head back to where I came from."

Kira asked, "Can I get your number? Maybe we can chat sometime?" She winked at him.

The stranger chuckled and said, "Okay, no problem." He gave her his number.

Thompson went to meet Ava and said, "Um, that reminds me... we need to go to the hospital to meet up with Julian. We need to ask him some questions about how he was stabbed, why he was stabbed, and if he saw the person's face."

Ava replied, "Oh, yeah! Sure, that's true. Let's go."

Ava turned to Ryan and ethan, "You two haven't been doing anything lately, but I'll leave for some.You guys should take care of some of the files I was handling before this commotion happened.

"You should continue investigating some of the cases.especially the cases that were previously investigated and closed and suddenly re opened again..Check them out, and I'll be back."
