Legendary Superstar

Chapter 181: Meet & Talk (3)

The lights on the stage softened slightly as Lee Dami set her cue cards down and turned toward the audience once more, her tone shifting into something brighter and more interactive.

"Now that we've warmed up a little, it's time to move into the first segment of today's event," she announced. "We're calling this part 'Ask the Stars!'—a special Q&A session between the cast and all of you lovely fans!"

The crowd erupted into excited cheers. A few had already begun holding up question cards and waving their hands.

Dami raised her hand playfully.

"Wait, wait—before we start picking questions, let's all agree on one thing, alright?"

She looked around at the crowd before turning toward the cast. "Some questions might be personal or unexpected, but if any of our cast members choose not to answer, can we respect that?"

A collective "Yes!" echoed from the crowd, followed by scattered clapping.

"We love you no matter what!" someone shouted.

"You don't have to answer everything, oppa!"

"Protect Minjae at all cost!"

Minjae chuckled quietly at that, scratching the back of his head as the rest of the cast nodded along in agreement.

"Thank you," Yura added gently. "That means a lot."

"Alright!" Dami clapped once. "We've got a team of staff moving through the crowd now to collect questions. If you have something to ask, then write it down on the paper provided to you when you entered the venue. Let's see how many questions we can answer today!"

Immediately, several hands shot up holding cards—some cute and decorated with stickers, others just scribbled in a hurry.

A few staff members wearing Global Studios shirts weaved through the rows, collecting questions and bringing them to the side of the stage where another crew member quickly skimmed through them and passed them to Dami.

While waiting, Jihoon leaned into his mic and said, "I'm scared now."

The audience laughed.

"Don't worry," Dami said, flipping through the stack. "These are all pretty harmless… I think."

"Okay, first question is for Yura!" She paused and raised the first card.

Yura straightened in her seat, adjusting her mic with both hands.

The host read: "'Yura unnie, what's your real personality like compared to your character in the drama?'"

The crowd waited for an answer with great interest.

Yura laughed softly before answering. "Ah… that's a good one. In the drama, I play a character of an independent girl who lives on an island. But in real life…" She hesitated and glanced at Minjae.

"Though I'm confident. 'm probably closer to how I was backstage today. Nervous, quiet, and shy."

"Unnie, we love your real personality!"

"You're cute either way!"

Yura pressed her lips together and gave a playful shrug. "I'll try to act tough in future episodes though. Promise!"

"Okay, next!" Dami said, flipping to another card. "This one's for… Jihoon."

Jihoon pretended to crack his knuckles.

"Bring it on."

"'What's your go-to snack while waiting on set?'"

The audience giggled. Jihoon blinked for a second before breaking into a wide smile.

"Dried squid," he said immediately.

The crowd gasped and laughed.

"Really???"

"Ewww I love it!"

"He's so real for that!"

"I'm serious," Jihoon added, laughing with them. "It's weird, but it keeps me awake."

"Alright, that's definitely a unique choice," Dami commented, grinning. "Let's keep going!"

As the stack of questions was sorted and passed, Dami looked toward Minjae.

"Ooh, this next one's for Minjae."

A quiet cheer rolled through the crowd.

Minjae raised his eyebrows, curious.

"'Minjae oppa… was there a particular scene in the first two episodes that was emotionally difficult for you to film?'"

Minjae nodded slowly. "Yeah. Actually… there was."

He paused, the crowd going still.

"That one scene in episode two—where my character sits by his apartment

at night, listening to a fan's voice message."

Many fans immediately murmured, remembering the moment.

"That was a tough one. Not because the lines were hard, but because… I had to make myself feel everything without speaking much. It was just me, the sound, and the silence. I think I sat there longer than what was filmed."

The crowd listened quietly, their expressions softening.

"Oppa… that scene made me cry."

"You did amazing, Minjae oppa."

"That's why your eyes looked so sad there…"

Minjae gave a modest smile and nodded. "Thank you."

Dami moved down the line. "Let's give Seojin a turn!"

Seojin smiled and lifted her mic.

"'Seojin unnie, if you weren't acting, what do you think you'd be doing right now?'"

There was a thoughtful pause.

"…I think I'd be working with animals," she said, to everyone's surprise. "Maybe as a vet assistant. I like quiet jobs and I love dogs."

"Awwww!"

"She's even more perfect!"

"She gives off dog person vibes, I knew it!"

Dami beamed and glanced at the last question card in her hand. "And next one is for Minjae again!"

The crowd perked up again, already giggling in anticipation.

Minjae adjusted his mic calmly, his eyes focused on Dami as she read the card aloud.

"'Minjae oppa, if you had to describe your ideal type using three words, what would they be?'"

A loud collective "Ooooooh~" came from the audience like a rising wave.

"…"

Minjae blinked, clearly not expecting that kind of question. He let out a soft laugh and lowered his head for a second, his hand lightly brushing his jaw as he thought.

Jihoon leaned over and whispered into his mic just loud enough for the crowd to hear, "Careful what you say, hyung. They're gonna analyze every word."

The fans screamed and laughed.

"Okay, okay…" Minjae shook his head in disbelief. He hadn't thought that he would dbe asked that question, but as an actor, he was prepared to deal with it.

He looked back at the crowd with a sheepish smile.

"Three words, right?"

He paused for effect, then answered slowly.

"Kind… thoughtful… and funny."

The crowd erupted.

"That's me!! That's literally me!!"

"Oppa just described me!!"

"He likes kind girls!! I'm kind!!"

Yura leaned forward and teased, "Oppa, your DMs are going to be full after this."

The others laughed when Minjae laughed.

"I knew I shouldn't have answered that one," he muttered, making everyone laugh harder.

Lee Dami grinned as she tucked the cue cards aside.

"Alright, let's move on to another question or else this fangirls will be crazy."
