Chapter 1049: As strong as I thought [2/2]
"Husband, there is no need to throw your morals away for us. We know. We have always known. And that is why we know how great your love for us is. For even the morals you strive to uphold are worth less than our lives."
"Honey, there is no need to be ashamed of being a good person. We knew it would torment you, but now that a better choice has come, we also know you would prefer this."
"Darling, you are our knight after all. You are a paragon, plain and simple. Only when it concerns us do you suddenly turn renegade. And that's okay! We don't mind!"
"Possum, we accept this side of ya. Proud of it even. The girls are spot on. You're our superhero, ya only got a bit soiled 'cause of us. So if we can do something that will make you happy, we bloody will."
"Dearest, I need to apologize to you for the original plan. I knew you would be uncomfortable with it, but there was no alternative. Now that there is, we are taking it. Not because we are forced to. But because we want to."
"My love, your honor is both my pride and joy. I speak for everyone here. You should love yourself more. Just like how you always think of us, we think of you. So, as everyone has already said. We agree with your decision."
Hearing my girls' words, my heart grew full. Even though I decided to throw away my morality for our victory, I couldn't. And while I can choose to kill a hundred to save a thousand, a part of me would first act to save both.
"Thanks, everyone. I love you."
The girls and I spent a few minutes just basking in each other's warmth. We didn't have sex, but all the tension in my body disappeared. Eventually, Exa called for us, so we rejoined the others in the main theater.
'Exa, summarize the status of the operation for me.'
[Operation Shattered Silence is near its end. For phase one, it is 80% complete and will be fully complete in the next hour. For phase two, it is at 60%. There are two more waves of prince abductions before the ones meant to start the civil war.]
'Casualties?'
[On Hellsend's side, none. Even the enthralled units have yet to lose a single member. The Seraphs are excellent guardians.]
'Good. Are we on schedule for phase three?'
[We are way ahead of it. Phase one, which was expected to be left unfinished, is close to 100% completion. The additional gates really helped pick up the pace. We should have enough time to negotiate with the nine Specter princes.]
'Okay, let's save that for last; anything else I should know?'
[It would be advisable to keep the Africans present in the dark about the change in plans. Please have Lady Lilly use a separate room for the families from Pierre's list.]
'Why?'
[A precaution. Now that we wish to prevent a civil war, we must keep the Specter families under protection. They may be harmed by the neutralists if we leave them together.]
'I see. Good point.'
I turned to my girls and gave them a farewell kiss. I then made a request.
'My Kindred, will it be fine for me to lead the kidnappings for the families? At least for the Specters.'
Naturally, at my request, the girls all objected. They all wanted to join me, but I said I would not put myself in any danger. They only agreed when I told them I would bring a Specter, Vela's Wolves, along with the Awakened.
"Fine, but I wish to take Eva with me."
Lilly and Jo voiced their concerns, but they relented after I explained.
"You two are the ones I trust the most; should anything happen, you are the ones I expect to come and save me."
Understanding their role, the two agreed. My harem then all went back to work. Jo returned to her post in the brainwashing area, Bella went online, while the other five all lined up to kidnap the next wave of princes.
Meanwhile, I had with me a ridiculous escort of twelve wolves, twelve Vithriss, Juno, Roach, and Eva Baker. Zanele and Pierre also joined us. No matter who you asked, this was way too much firepower.
"Let's go."
"Yes, my lord!"
I led my group toward gate number one. Jo was the one powering it. She glared at me while pouting unhappily.
"Hmph! I still think I should be the one going."
"Don't worry, big sis, we will take care of Patron!"
"As will I, Lady Jo, the Awakened will ensure his safety," Juno declared.
Even Eva said a few words. "Relax, Jo, the boy is just worried about you. I'll keep him safe; it's my job, after all."
"Okay, if Darling comes back with so much as a scratch, I am going to beat you all up!" Jo said with a smile.
With awkward laughs, my group and I entered the revolving door.

Inside, it was a white blank space. The only exception was the ground we walked on. It had what looked like a path made of stars on it.
Like a carpet made of the galaxy, celestial bodies decorated the path. Mesmerized by it, I gawked for a moment. The others all waited behind me; well, almost everyone.
"Limitless, get moving already. Stop looking at the floor."
At Roach's words, I broke awake from my reverie and picked up the pace. I followed the path. It eventually stretched onward until it separated into five separate directions. At the end of each path was a large gate made of light.
They looked similar to the {Portals} from the {Store} family of {Fates}.
'This must be the slots for deployments. Lilly was right; seeing the insides made it much easier to understand.'
[My lord, the place you are going to is on the fourth path from the left.]
Following Exa's words, I led our group to the fourth path. The closer I got to the gate of light, the brighter it shone. Eventually, it became so blinding that it took away my vision. Then I felt my body break down as if I were moving toward Hellsgate.

When I opened my eyes, I scanned my surroundings. I appeared to be in a beach house of some sort. The air seemed cool, and the breeze was pleasant. But I was not here to sightsee, so I shifted classes as I called to my trusty AI.
'[Ninja], Exa, talk to me.'
[This house is where the family of Prince Kaziema Lulendo lives. Kaziema is the strongest of the 77 princes. He has a wife who is a Phantom and a son who has yet to die. The wife is currently seven months pregnant.]
From [Ninja's] increased detection, I sensed a lot of Reapers; there was even a Specter. And about ten humans. The compound was quite large, luxurious, and heavily fortified.
Hearing that this was for the strongest prince, my blood began to boil. I wondered how strong the bastard was? While I had no intention of killing his humans, I wasn't so kind as to aim for a fair battle.
"Eva, take down the Specter. Roach and the Awakened kill all who resist. Wolves, find the wife and the son."
"Yes, my lord!" they all replied.
And so my forces all began to leap into action. Within seconds, gunshots began to echo along with the sound of metal stabbing flesh. Cries and screams dominated the air. This all happened while I leisurely walked towards the humans.
