Lost In Sea: Catte & Colin

Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Father?

After yesterday's incident, Catte couldn't forget the tragedy that happened while he was with Colin. He could only remain silent, hugging Ruby on the bed. Even though it was still morning, Ruby continued sleeping because she had cried herself to sleep in sadness due to being separated from Catte.

Catte wanted to get up from the bed, but his younger sister, Ruby, couldn't sleep peacefully. He had no choice but to take care of her, or else she would be used as a form of debt by their older brother.

"What can I do? If Ruby isn't taken care of, she'll truly become weak, starve, and get bullied by her friends—or worse, be sold for her organs," Catte muttered to himself.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Catte quietly got up and opened it.

"Hey! How are you, Catte? Can I talk to you?" Colin asked.

Catte allowed Colin to enter his small house while saying,

"Please be quiet, my little sister is sleeping."

After eating and drinking, Colin spoke to Catte.

"Hey Catte, since your mother passed away, don't you have a father?" Colin asked.

"Yes... but my father was admitted to the hospital due to his old age and heart cancer... He also had his leg broken because of my older brother," Catte replied.

That was why Catte worked at the construction site—he only needed to earn enough money to pay for his father's hospital bills.

Just then, Ruby came out of the room, crying.

"Uwahhhhh... Catte..." Ruby sobbed.

Catte immediately rushed to her and comforted her, while Colin could only watch and think to himself,

"How did Catte end up with that girl? In Catte's records, he only has an older brother..."

After calming Ruby down, Catte took her to the bathroom to help her clean up. Meanwhile, he and Colin continued their conversation about Catte's father.

"Hey, Catte, do you know? Your father was actually a generous and loving man toward you. Unfortunately, his kindness was repaid with cruelty. That's why he always failed to protect you," Colin said.

Catte didn't want to say anything. He just held back his sadness, knowing he was already losing his mother and now had to care for his father, who had raised him since childhood.

"Alright, Catte, I didn't come here just to talk about your father—I came about your debt. You still owe a lot, don't you? A total of $4,968,907 USD," Colin stated.

"What?! That much?! I can't pay that—I still need to cover my father's hospital bills, which cost $1,000,000 for his treatment!" Catte responded in shock.

He didn't care whether he paid his debt sooner or later. All he wanted was for at least one of his family members to survive and stay with him.

"Hey, how did you end up with that girl? Based on your family records, she doesn't exist," Colin questioned Catte.
