Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Classmate
As I walked into my third period class, I couldn't help but think about Ethan. Our conversation at the bus stop had left me feeling happy and excited. I had a feeling that we were going to be great friends.
As I took my seat, I noticed Ethan sitting across from me. He smiled and waved, and I felt a flutter in my chest.
Our teacher, Mrs. Thompson, began the lesson, and I tried to focus on the material. But my eyes kept drifting back to Ethan. He was listening intently to the lesson, his eyes fixed on the teacher.
As the class came to a close, Mrs. Thompson assigned us a group project. We were to work in pairs to create a presentation on a historical topic.
Ethan turned to me and smiled. "Hey, Sophia, want to be my partner?"
I felt a surge of excitement. "Yeah, that sounds great!"
As we exchanged numbers and made plans to meet up outside of class, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Working on a project with Ethan was going to be a lot of fun.
Throughout the rest of the day, I found myself thinking about Ethan and our project. I was looking forward to spending more time with him and getting to know him better.
As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, I gathered my things and headed out into the hallway. I was looking forward to meeting up with Ethan and starting our project.
As I walked out of the school building, I spotted Ethan waiting for me by the entrance. He was leaning against the wall, looking relaxed and confident.
"Hey, Sophia," he said, smiling. "Ready to get started on our project?"
I nodded, feeling a sense of excitement. "Yeah, I'm ready."
As we walked to the library, Ethan asked me questions about myself. What did I like to do for fun? What kind of music did I like? What were my favorite books?
I found myself opening up to him, sharing things about myself that I rarely shared with others. He was easy to talk to, and I felt like I could be myself around him.
As we arrived at the library, Ethan suggested we grab a table and get started on our project. I agreed, and we spent the next few hours researching and brainstorming ideas.
As we worked, I couldn't help but notice the way Ethan's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. Or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.
I felt a flutter in my chest, and I quickly looked away, trying to focus on the project. But I couldn't help sneaking glances at Ethan throughout the afternoon.
As the sun began to set, Ethan suggested we take a break and grab some dinner. I agreed, and we walked to a nearby café.
As we sat down at a table, Ethan asked me more questions about myself. What did I like to do on the weekends? What were my favorite hobbies?
I found myself opening up to him even more, sharing things about myself that I rarely shared with others. He was easy to talk to, and I felt like I could be myself around him.
As we finished our dinner and prepared to part ways, Ethan turned to me and smiled. "I had a great time today, Sophia."
I smiled back, feeling a sense of happiness. "I had a great time too, Ethan."
As we said our goodbyes and parted ways, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I had a feeling that Ethan and I were going to be great friends... or maybe even something more.
As I walked home, I couldn't help but think about Ethan. Our conversation had left me feeling happy and excited.
