Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Lockers
As I walked into school the next morning, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I had a feeling that today was going to be a great day.
As I made my way to my locker, I noticed Ethan standing by his locker, just a few feet away. He caught my eye and smiled, and I felt a flutter in my chest.
"Hey, Sophia," he said, walking over to me. "What's up?"
I smiled and replied, "Not much, just getting my books for class."
Ethan nodded and said, "Yeah, me too. I'm excited for our history class today. I heard we're going to be learning about the American Revolution."
I nodded and replied, "Yeah, I'm excited too. I love learning about history."
As we chatted, I couldn't help but notice how easy it was to talk to Ethan. He was funny and charming, and I felt like I could be myself around him.
As we finished getting our books, Ethan turned to me and said, "Hey, Sophia, can I ask you something?"
I nodded and replied, "Sure, what's up?"
Ethan hesitated for a moment before asking, "Do you want to sit together at lunch today?"
I felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of sitting with Ethan at lunch. "Yeah, that sounds great," I replied, trying to sound casual.
Ethan smiled and said, "Awesome, I'll meet you at the cafeteria at lunchtime."
As we parted ways, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I had a feeling that today was going to be a great day.
Throughout the morning, I found myself thinking about Ethan and our plans to sit together at lunch. I was looking forward to spending more time with him and getting to know him better.
As the lunch bell rang, I made my way to the cafeteria, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. I spotted Ethan waiting for me by the entrance, and he smiled as I approached.
"Hey, Sophia," he said, falling into step beside me. "What's up?"
I smiled and replied, "Not much, just getting some lunch."
As we walked through the cafeteria line, Ethan asked me questions about my favorite foods and hobbies. I found myself opening up to him, sharing things about myself that I rarely shared with others.
As we sat down at a table, Ethan turned to me and said, "I'm really glad we're sitting together today, Sophia."
I smiled and replied, "Me too, Ethan."
As we ate our lunch and chatted, I couldn't help but feel a sense of connection with Ethan. We had only known each other for a few days, but I felt like I had known him for years.
As we finished our lunch and prepared to part ways, Ethan turned to me and said, "Hey, Sophia, can I walk you to your next class?"
I nodded and replied, "Yeah, that sounds great."
As we walked through the hallway, Ethan asked me more questions about myself. What did I like to do on the weekends? What were my favorite books?
I found myself opening up to him, sharing things about myself that I rarely shared with others. He was easy to talk to, and I felt like I could be myself around him.
As we approached my next class, Ethan turned to me and said, "I had a great time talking to you, Sophia."
I smiled and replied, "I had a great time too, Ethan."
