Loving Her Forgotten Mafia

Chapter 1: Chapter-1

JANE

My cheeks hurt, as I couldn't stop smiling while looking at the sparkling blue beauty on my ring finger. Dom's embrace provided a perfect, warm and cosy environment for me to snuggle in.

The steady rhythm of his heart under my fingertips had a calming effect on me as he stared at me adoringly.

"I can't believe we are engaged," I said, smiling widely and he pressed his lips to my forehead in a silent assurance of his presence in my life.

My eyes shut as I basked in the love and adoration he had for me. He was a mafia, a ruthless one. In the underworld, he was known as the Beast. But he had a gentle side unknown to the world, which only I knew.

"I love you, Dom," I whispered and my eyes watered a little.

"I love you so much more, Amore Mio." His lips brushed against my forehead as he spoke softly and pulled me even closer.

My chest tightened and trying to control my overwhelming emotions, I sniffed slightly while hiding my face in his chest.

"Amore mio."

"Hmm?"

"Are you crying?"

"No." I pressed my lips tightly, trying not to let my sobs out.

Fear of Rosario taking me away from him always lingered and just the thought of never getting to see or touch Dom again was making me so emotional all of a sudden.

He arched his head a little and looked at my face. Unwrapping his arm from around my waist, he cupped my cheek.

"Aren't you happy?"

My lips quivered against my will as I looked into his forest-green eyes that always managed to suck me in whenever I looked at them.

"I am happy. I am so happy that it's…" I wiped my eyes and he held my hand in his before pecking the fingertips one by one, sending delicious tingles through my body.

"And that's how you'll always be from now on, my queen. Happy."

My core clenched around his cock that was still inside me and I instantly felt him twitch.

I nodded.

"Yes, my king."

A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Now, I just need to throw Rosario out of the Cosa Nostra," he said with a thoughtful look on his face, "then, it's me who will occupy your thoughts instead of the dangers around your family."

My eyebrows met and I pouted.

"Did you really have to take his name right now? Do you want to spoil my mood?""

He let out a low chuckle and goosebumps rose on my skin at how sexy he sounded.

"Never. I'm sorry. Looks like my queen is ready for another round," he said with a teasing smile.

Rolling my eyes, I replied,

"Don't put it on me. It's all because of you."

"I'm glad I have that effect on you."

His eyes turned hooded as we stared at each other, the air between us charged with tension and I gulped. My tongue swiped over my lips unconsciously and his gaze dropped to my lips.

And then, his lips captured mine, devouring it whole and my stomach fluttered painfully. His cock went rock hard inside me as we kissed, deep and slow.

His fingers brushed my stomach, leaving goosebumps in its wake while my fingers got lost in his long brown locks. His other hand, which was under my head, started caressing my hair, his touch gentle like a feather.

Slowly, he started moving inside me, making me moan into his mouth while our tongues fought for dominance.

I woke up with a start, not sure what woke me. I shifted slightly, smiling to myself when I felt the slight tenderness between my thighs.

Dom would probably take great pride in knowing what he did to me. I turned to my side to reach for him but found only his cold pillow and his side of the bed empty.

I skimmed my hand over the empty space and found it slightly warm.

He must have woken up just a little while ago.

My eyes fell on the shiny blue diamond on my finger and my heart soared again, just like how it did when he proposed.

I covered my mouth with my hand as I couldn't help but smile wide.

That sexy Adonis is my fiancè.

A giggle left my lips but it stopped abruptly when I heard his faint voice and frowned. Looking around, I realised the voice was coming from outside the room.

I looked at the panoramic window of the yacht's master bedroom and realised the sun was almost up as the sky had turned a mix of blue and orange hues.

Climbing off the bed, I stumbled my way to the slightly open door, clutching the furry white blanket over my chest.

I frowned. Dom wasn't usually so careless to leave the door open when I was inside, completely naked and his men were outside.

My heart raced for some reason as I padded towards the door and his voice became clearer. But before I could grab the door handle, I heard the venomous words coming out of his mouth, and my hand froze mid-air.

"Yes! I killed Dalton Collins. So what?" he snapped callously.

My heart stopped beating for a moment as I tried to process his words.

He killed my Dad?

My knees buckled and I grabbed the door handle to keep myself from falling. The door opened and there stood Dom, only a towel wrapped around his waist, his broad, muscled back facing me, with his phone pressed to his ear.

"I'll do it all over again if I get the chance, you understand? I'll kill Dalton all over again. Now, you can go to hell," he spat, his shoulders moving up and down as he breathed heavily.

He was furious. But right now, I could burn the entire world with the amount of fury raging within me.

Heat spread all over my body like molten lava, my ears burned as I stood there seething in anger. I couldn't feel anything else at this moment, except extreme rage.

I would never be able to describe how my love for him had turned to pure, undeniable hatred in the mere matter of heartbeats.

He turned to the door and stopped, his expression changing within seconds and I watched the play of emotions across his handsome face, from anger to shock to horrified to regret.

Our eyes met and my vision blurred, hot tears streamed down my face as I turned away.

Desperation and heartbreak urged me to run, to get as far away from him as I could. Tears blinded my vision, my feet got tangled up in the sheets around me, and I stumbled forward.

Before I could hit the floor, a pair of strong arms wrapped around me. The same pair of arms that made me feel so calm, safe and loved last night, now felt like thorns pricking my skin.

I struggled to get free from his hold, beating at his arms with my clenched fists. I wanted to scream, but my throat constricted, and I couldn't make a sound.

"My love. Please, listen to me. Please. I can explain," Dom begged.

He turned me to face him but I couldn't bring myself to look at his face. I was pushed against the now locked door, his body pressed against mine as he cupped my face with both of his hands.

"Don't do this. Please. Don't run away from me. I was about to tell you today. Jane, look at me, please baby." He cradled my face, trying to make me look at him but I just lowered my gaze.

"Leave."

The word finally came out of my mouth, hoarse and unclear.

My imperfect but beautiful world just fell apart and I couldn't describe the feeling. A dead soul in a moving body, that's how it felt. The man I gave my body, heart and soul to, betrayed me in the worst possible way.
