Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 104 Golem Dungeon [Part 5]

The path he came from had been replaced by a wall trapping him between two walls, it took him some seconds to realize that the wall was gradually closing in.

"Shit, what the hell is this" Xavier shouted as he placed his body on the wall trying to push back in an attempt to stop it.

His attempt was futile as the wall kept moving him backward slowly, and he knew what would happen if he didn't find a way out of this soon; he would be squished to mush if he didn't find a way to escape.

Xavier began looking around; if this was a trap, then there would be a switch or fail-safe somewhere; he wasn't even sure how this happened. He didn't touch the walls, and if he had stepped on a trap, he would have realized, and the wall came out of nowhere.

"Shit shit, I'm going to die in this fucking dungeon," Xavier shouted as the wall kept closing in, and soon it was at a length where he couldn't stretch both of it his hands; if it continued, he would be dead in less than a minute.

"I don't have any spells." Xavier racked his brain while still pushing against the wall; what could he do to stop it? He didn't get a dungeon teleportation crush from Mari, or he would have used it to escape.

The walls continued their advance, pressing Xavier tighter and closer to the other wall. His breaths came out in ragged gasps as the space around him shrank, the cold stone scraping against his back as he pushed back with all he had.

His muscles strained, arms trembling as he desperately shoved against the wall, but it was like trying to stop a mountain.

"Think, think, damn it!" Xavier's voice echoed in the narrowing chamber, wild with panic, he was going to die if something didn't happen soon.

The walls groaned louder, grinding closer. Xavier's heart pounded so hard it felt like it might burst from his chest.

"I can't die like this! Not here! Not now!" he roared, his mind racing through his abilities—Disrupt Magic? No, it wasn't a spell.

"Disrupt Magic" Xavier used his skill but there was nothing to disrupt.

"Shit Temporal Weapon Bind? No this isn't a weapon"

Soon he couldn't even move his arms properly. The stone scraped against his ribs now. He could barely breathe.

The walls were pressing him so tightly he couldn't even turn his head. The thought hit him like a hammer—I'm going to be crushed. This is it.

"No! No, no, no!" Xavier screamed, tears welling in his eyes from the sheer helplessness.

Some seconds ago, he was planning to return to Avalon, and now he was going to get killed in a golem dungeon, a freaking golem dungeon.

His legs buckled, his strength faltering. He could feel the pressure beginning to squeeze his bones, the agony building.

And then, without warning, the walls...stopped.

The grinding ceased with a deafening silence, leaving Xavier gasping, his chest heaving for precious air. His body trembled, drenched in sweat, his mind reeling.

The walls remained unmoving, already on his body and inches from his face. He couldn't move any part of his body except his hand, but it was also limited.

The trap had halted just before crushing him. Xavier had no idea why or how it stopped, but he was just seconds away from his death; at least being stuck was better than getting crushed to death.

Xavier knew if the wall didn't retract on its own, then he was cooked; instead of dying a crushing death, he would die a slow death from lack of water; he wasn't even sure if the space he occupied had air.

No matter what he tried, he couldn't move. He even tried wiggling to get to the edge, but he couldn't move from where he stood. Just like a god or goddess answered his prayer, the wall began slowly retracting.

Xavier let out a sigh of relief but wasn't even sure if this was a trap or something else. He was sure the golem couldn't set or create a trap like this, but that was just at the back of his mind. First, he needed to get out of here. Explore stories on empire

The wall was moving too slowly, but as long as it was moving backward, first, he was going to get out of there, and he was definitely not going to explore the last path.

After moving a few inches away, the wall stopped again, and a notification appeared on Xavier's screen.

[Congratulations you have been rescued from death and chosen for the Tower of Trials]

'Tower of trials, rescued from death what does that...' Xavier stopped as the wall began closing in again.

Soon, he could feel his body getting lighter, and soon it was separated; he could see his body, but it was like his spirit was watching his body, and the wall closed it till his body was crushed.

He could hear his ribs cracking, his screaming, his eyeballs popping out till his body was crushed into mush in front of his eyes; soon, his spirit-like form began descending downward till he landed in a dark room, and finally, he could move again.

He could hear voices and some screams but he couldn't see even with his night vision till the room was lit up by hundreds of lightning simultaneously.

Xavier looked around, and he could see nine other people with him and the other too could see him; he had a lot of questions, but the people with him had the same look on their faces.

There were different races of being here, but Xavier recognized only a few: elf, which was so rare; a dwarf, which was somehow even rarer; then a tiger-like beast, then a female winged type beast; and other beasts; he was the only human there.

He saw another guy who looked human, but he had horns, so obviously, he was also some type of beast.
