Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 113 Tower of Trials [Part 8]

"Wait...I have a plan" the elf shouted as Xavier stopped in his tracks.

"Don't attack the knight; just distract him. I'm going to cast another stronger spell. Just gather your strength and get ready to strike the core," the elf spoke, and Xavier dashed forward.

The screen appeared in front of him as he glanced through the next challenge.

[Challenge 3: Defeat 2 Elemental Knights]

[Reward: Healing-> Self Regeneration]

Instead of defeating the flame knight only, he now had to defeat two of the knights to complete the challenge.

He could ignore it, but the reward was enticing; his healing spell would be upgraded to self-regeneration, meaning he could regenerate lost limbs like the elf but only for himself, and it would most likely consume a shit ton of Mana.

Xavier focused his attention back on the knight, even though he could charge in, he still coated his entire body in Mana to protect him from the heat that radiated from the knight's body.

The knight stretched its hand towards Xavier, but he was too fast to aim at since he didn't run in a straight pattern, the knight knew he was going to attack, so he was just going to wait to counter.

Xavier continued running around the knight; what the god said about stamina was correct; even with all the running, jumping, and dodging Xavier was doing, he was still at peak stamina; he didn't feel tired at all.

The elf was now preparing another spell as Xavier stole the attention of the knight, but Instead of aiming for the knight's core she was going to aim for the legs.

Xavier kept going in circles around the knight and not attacking. The knight also tried to fire spells randomly at him, but he disrupted and dodged all the spells.

Suddenly, the knight focused his attention upwards and fired a spell; Xavier didn't stop the knight as it wasn't aiming at him, and then he looked up to see the Harpy flying above them and facing her target, not minding the fireball coming towards her.

"Harpy, look out!!" The elf shouted, but it was too late as the fireball slammed into the Harpy, sending her to the ground.

The elf who was preparing a spell for the flame knight dashed towards the Harpy who was facing the wind knight along with tiger.

The elf rushed toward the Harpy, but she wasn't fast enough to catch her. The impact had sent the Harpy crashing hard to the ground, and she wasn't moving.

"Shit..." Xavier gritted his teeth but stayed focused; after the spell, the knight focused his attention back on Xavier.

The knight raised its hand again, preparing another fireball, but Xavier disrupted the magic before it could form, and this time, he went for the knight.

"We need water," the elf shouted as the Harpy wings were still on fire, and the pirate cast a water spell that quenched the flame.

The elf knelt beside the Harpy, checking for signs of life.

"She's alive!" she called out, though the Harpy was weak and barely conscious.

Tiger, still battling the wind knight alone, growled as he struggled to keep up with the enemy's spells and attacks.

"Elf! Heal her a little and finish your spell!" Xavier shouted as he dodged a flame spell and charged in, and the knight placed its hand on the ground.

The elf nodded, returning her focus to the flame knight. She began chanting again, gathering energy, and this time, she prepared a light spell.

Xavier made his move, dashing forward with a burst of speed, but stopped the knight and created a wave of flame; there was no way to dodge or outrun it.

At first, Xavier wanted to coat his body with more Mana to block the flame, but he was still going to get burnt, at that moment, something ran through his head.

His mind went back to the academy during their training, where they had to infuse Mana in their legs to make a jump, but none of them could, even after hours of trying.

At that moment, Xavier infused mana into his legs and launched himself high into the air with a powerful burst of energy.

But the flame knight was faster than he expected, its blazing hand was already raised, aimed directly at him, as if it had predicted his move.

Xavier's eyes widened "I can't dodge in midair!"

The fireball flared to life, heat distorting the air as the knight prepared to fire.

Then—BOOM!

A flash of light streaked across the battlefield, so fast that Xavier barely registered it before the explosion followed.

The knight's legs were blasted clean off, fragments scattering across the ground as the knight toppled with a loud crash.

Xavier, still suspended in the air, saw the opening. The knight was vulnerable.

"Now's my chance!"

Gritting his teeth, he forced even more mana into his blade, till his sword began glowing a brilliant blue.

With a powerful swing, Xavier descended, aiming straight for the knight's neck.

His blade stuck the knight's neck separating the head from the rest of the body and even digging into the ground.

A deafening crack echoed as the sword hit the ground, and Xavier could see flame building in the knight's body.

"Shit!" Xavier shouted as he jumped backward, coating his body with all the Mana he had left.

Flames erupted outward from the knight's body, but Xavier's mana shield held, deflecting the heat just long enough for the explosion to die down.

The flame knight let out a distorted, echoing groan as its body began to crumble, and Xavier fell to the ground; even with his Mana coating his entire body, he still sustained burns on some parts of his body.

Xavier still stood up despite his pains as he began; the head of the knight was still on the ground, meaning the crystal core was still in there.

The elf was healing the Harpy while Dragonborn and the pirate had joined hands with Tiger to battle the wind elemental.
