Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 114 Tower of Trials [Part 9]

Xavier stood up from the ground; he still had a little Mana left, so he cast healing on himself, and the burns he had slowly begun healing.

Two of the five knights had been defeated, leaving only three: Earth, Wind, and Dark elementals.

None of the battles was close to Xavier, so he walked towards his sword and pulled it out of the ground; the sharp edge had been nicked a little bit, but it was still sharp, and inside the knight's helmet, a crystal was in there.

[Arcane Siphon]

[+300 Mana]

[+100 Mana absorbed]

Xavier's eyes widened as he saw the information; the elemental knights were walking Mana bank, and if she absorbed all of their crystal, then he would get an increase of 500 Mana, even more than his agility, but of course, that wasn't possible.

He heard a loud boom as another one of the knights was defeated, and it was both of the demons who faced the dark elemental knight.

The knight had been beheaded, and the demon immediately went after the crystal; once he got it, he swallowed it without a second thought.

Crystals were filled with Mana, so naturally, every mage had use for it. Now, there were two knights left, and Xavier had to kill one more to complete his challenge.

[Frost Reflection]

Xavier created a copy of himself and dashed forward towards the wind knight who was kept busy by Dragonborn, Tiger, and Pirate; all three of them were holding the knight off and pushing it backward, so he was just going to swoop in and deal the decisive strike.

Xavier knew the amount of force he put into the attack that took the flame knight's head off so he and his ice close were going to do the same for the wind knight.

Dragonborn saw Xavier coming towards the wind knight from behind, along with his copy made out of ice. The wind knight was busy with them, and with Xavier's speed, the knight couldn't react fast enough.

Xavier and his clone struck from both sides of the knight, beheading the knight in an instant as both of the swords collided, causing the head to the ground.

Xavier caught the head of the knight before it reached the ground and immediately dashed away from the knight as a large burst of wind followed the death of the knight.

Apart from Xavier, the elf, and the Harpy, the rest of them joined and attacked the final knight; with Xavier getting two kills and another crystal, he wasn't interested in the last knight as he walked towards the elf.

"You didn't tell me you could do that, and how did your Mana increase so fast?" the Elf asked.

"I did something" Xavier simply answered.

"I've been wondering, don't you know how to increase your Mana core, the rest of us here have large amounts of Mana, except for Tiger, how come you have so little when you understand magic"

"Increase your Mana core, what are you talking about?"

"You know if you train, you're going to get stronger, like you now, you are faster than me, and better at close combat than me because you train, I'm better at spells than you because I train, and also my Mana core isn't the size of a beast crystal" The Elf replied and a loud boom followed as the last knight was killed.

"So you're saying I can increase my Mana with training, what kind of training?"

"Mana Cultivation" The elf answered.

"Mana Cultivation, what is that?" Xavier asked.

"What are you talking about, how is Harpy?" Dragonborn asked as he approached them.

"She's fine, she just needs rest, and I'm sure she won't be able to fly for some time"

"We have all the time here, so what are you talking about, I heard Mana Cultivation?" Dragonborn asked.

"Do you know this is the first time he's heard about Mana Cultivation?" The Elf spoke.

"I'm not surprised; if he did, his Mana core wouldn't be like that, but he's human. There's nothing you can do about it," Dragonborn spoke.

"Why do you think there's nothing that can be done?" Xavier asked.

"Elf, how long did it take you to master Mana Cultivation and perfect it well enough to be applicable?" Dragonborn asked the Elf.

"It took me about 100 years or so, how long did it take you?" The Elf asked.

"About 60, and the rest of everyone who mastered Mana Cultivation, it takes at least 70 to 100 years, and for some more, how long does the human live?" Dragonborn asked and Xavier couldn't answer.

"That is exactly why humans can't, but you have your system, right? Is that what you call it? All humans have one, right?"

"Yes, they do," Xavier answered.

"What are you guys talking about that's making you so tense" Tiger asked as the rest of the group approached.

"Mana Cultivation" Xavier answered.

"Ohh, only races with long lifespans have that opportunity, Mana Cultivation, do you want me to explain?" The Dwarf asked Xavier.

"Sure"

"Mana Cultivation is the ability to harvest and refine Mana over time. Typically, It takes around 70 to 100 years to fully master and, in some cases, less." The Dwarf started.

"Once you reach that point, your body is constantly coated in Mana, making you stronger, faster, and more resistant to damage"

"The biggest advantage, though, is your Mana recovery. After mastering it, your Mana regenerates so fast it's almost like you never run out, even during battle, but you can run out if you fight for a long time"

"And on top of that, your Mana core expands massively, letting you hold way more Mana than before. It's a long, difficult process, but once you've mastered it, you're basically a powerhouse" The Dwarf explained.

"So basically humans are the only ones with magic that can't cultivate Mana"

"Yes," The Dwarf answered.

"Xavier, should I tell you a little about history, what do you think happened thousands of years ago?" Dragonborn asked.
