Chapter 473: Travel and Beyond Travel Chapter Thirty-Two Reward_3
Lynch thought of the "Savior" mentioned in the Queen's prophecy. 'It seems Her Majesty the Empress is asking me to find that guy.' With this in mind, Lynch nodded.
"If you could agree, it would be the best thing," the Empress said. "After this battle, I can't be sure how much of the so-called Prophecy Magic still holds true. But I still hope you can do me this favor."
"Thanks." Lynch nodded, retreating to where he had originally stood. He no longer needed words to express his gratitude and had made up his mind to fulfill the Queen's request.
After deciding on these matters, the rest of the gathering was relatively simple. After appreciating the Elf Clan's beautiful yet emotionally reminiscent songs, everyone gradually dispersed, leaving only the Elf Queen, Lynch, and a few others in the Holy Temple.
It was only then that Lynch had the chance to ask, "How is Yilinrui? Has she safely returned to Heather?"
"Rest assured, my daughter is currently recuperating in peace," the Queen said. "You will see her again in the near future. For now, let us retrieve the stone."
Kuboert wasn't very interested in the Mage's things, but out of courtesy, he still followed behind Lynch. However, his gaze lingered more on the little angel Soka. If not for Zilvra's vigilant watch over this Pate Priest, Kuboert might have started extolling the virtues of the "Light Saintess" to Soka again.
The scroll was placed next to the Space-Time Marker. When the Queen recited a Spell, a new passage appeared at the center of a withered tree, and only then did Lynch realize why he couldn't find its location despite using various Spells.
"It's inside," said the Elf Queen. "Only one person can go in, and I will maintain the passage from outside. Now, go and retrieve it."
Lynch nodded, holding the Powerful Wand, and casually disappeared into the spiral staircase. Soka curiously stretched his head, peeking into the passage with all his might.
Lynch quickly reached the bottom of the passage and was stunned by the sight before him. If he could describe this place with three words, it would be "zoo." Inside the Holy Mountain was a vast cavern, teeming with countless creatures, most of which were rare species hardly seen on the surface.
Whether it was the giant mountain bears or the little sprites dancing among the petals, whether it was the Chimeras soaring in the sky or the dragon turtles resting in the water, all these creatures seemed to defy the laws of nature. They did not attack each other but coexisted harmoniously in this space.
Lynch's arrival startled the animals here. They curiously surrounded him, seemingly trying to figure out to which species this guest belonged. Some bolder unicorns crowded around, sniffing the Mage's scent intently.
Lynch dared not casually touch these beautiful horses with sharp horns, as he wasn't a "beautiful maiden" and might get kicked by these picky mounts. However, behind the many animals, he found the Holy Stone he was searching for.
So he bypassed the gathering animals and flew straight toward the stone. Several Magic Barriers obstructed his path, but under the tremors of Magic Origin Power, the Mage still managed to stand next to the third scroll. However, Lynch did not take the stone away directly; he discovered that this third scroll was providing life force to the entire space. Centered on Linda Tasso, plants, animals, light, air, and water were extraordinarily abundant. If taken abruptly, the place might soon lose its vitality and vigor.
"Why would the Elf Queen hand me such a dilemma?" Lynch murmured to himself, "Does she have a solution, or is she prepared to accept a great loss?"
The Mage looked around. Just as he wouldn't damage any grass or tree in the Elf sanctuary of Heather, he also didn't want to destroy the harmony here. So he sat down and began to study the principle of how the Holy Stone provided power to the surroundings. He hoped to find a replacement method; otherwise, he would have to give up taking the scroll.
As the seconds passed, the stone, attracted by the Magic Power from Lynch, gradually moved away from the center of the Magic Array. Lynch watched this phenomenon in surprise. It seemed that this scroll genuinely possessed life force, just like its contents. However, the emergence of this situation meant Lynch had no choice but to take the scroll.
"Perhaps the power of Magic Origin could maintain the operations here," Lynch thought, condensing a silver Light Sphere in his left hand, and gradually approached the center of the formation where the Magic Stone had originally been placed, carefully sensing the energy fluctuations around.
Plants suddenly went wild, growing rapidly. The animals, sensing an unusual power, roared together.
"Too strong, too strong." Lynch quickly reduced the size of the Magic Light Ball, thereby slowing the rate of Magic Origin being delivered here. Finally, when the surrounding noise calmed down completely, Lynch could safely take the stone and leave the cave.
A violent tremor came from the spiral staircase above, with soil and wood chips falling from overhead. Lynch looked at the top of the stairs in confusion as the original light suddenly vanished.
"Could it be they're locking me in here..." Lynch said with a smile, then quickly ran upward. At the original exit, a large animal body was covering it. The Mage carefully touched it, feeling hot scales under his hand.
"What is this creature?"
