Marvel Brodcast : Spoiling Spider-man

Chapter 106: Chapter 106 Richard Parker’s Briefcase

[Peter followed Uncle Ben where Uncle Ben suspected an issue with the condenser plate.]

[[However, Peter disagreed. "No! The condenser plate and heat pipe wouldn't cause this much water! It has to be a problem with the delivery pipe!"]

[Uncle Ben considered Peter's observation and nodded in agreement. "That's the only logical explanation!"]

[Then asked: "Can you fix it?"]

[Peter shook his head, "No! At least not tonight, I'll go to the hardware store tomorrow."]

["Okay! use this on your face!" Uncle Ben tore open the bag and threw a piece of ointment to Peter.]

[Peter caught it with some surprise, took a look at it, and then put it on his wound.]

["How's the other guy doing?" Peter was a little surprised when Uncle Ben knew he was lying.]

["Come on! I know what's going on as soon as I see it! Do you want me to call his father?" Uncle Ben said as he packed his things. ]

[Peter immediately rejected Uncle Ben's kindness, "No, no need!"]

["Alright! I won't tell May, but those little devils are lucky they didn't upset her further."]

[Uncle Ben left with the box in his arms and told Peter, "Before you go, check if there's anything worth keeping!"]

["Okay!" Peter responded immediately. ]

[As Peter sorted through the attic's clutter, he stumbled upon an old briefcase. The initials on it sparked a vivid memory of the night his parents left.]

[He recalled his father, Richard Parker, opening the same briefcase in their car, retrieving documents as young Peter watched from the back seat.]

["Plumbers don't fix electrical appliances!" Peter teased as he carried the briefcase downstairs, overhearing Uncle Ben and Aunt May argue.]

["No! They can fix it too!" Aunt May thinks they can fix it. ]

["They're plumbers, May. They fix water systems, not electrical circuits!" Uncle Ben insisted.]

["If you'd just ask—" Aunt May stopped mid-sentence when she noticed Peter holding the briefcase. Uncle Ben turned to look as well, and silence fell between them.]

[They exchanged a glance, their expressions filled with worry. Uncle Ben broke the silence with a gentle smile. "I'd completely forgotten about that! It belonged to your father."]

[Hearing this, Peter nodded, "Yeah!" His eyes turned red for some reason.]

["He asked us to keep it safe for him!" Uncle Ben smiled a little embarrassedly and put the plate in his hand on the table.]

["He saw it in a leather goods shop on Ninth Avenue when he was 19," Uncle Ben added, reminiscing. His face lit up with a warm smile as he sat down and recounted the story.]

["What does a teenager need a briefcase for? Guess who sold it to him?" Uncle Ben asked, his tone playful.]

["I don't know!" Peter shook his head. ]

["Your mother! That's how they met!" Aunt May also recalled what happened back then and couldn't help but smile, but her eyes turned red as she smiled.]

[Peter looked at Uncle Ben with confusion. "He asked you to keep it safe, but why? There's nothing inside. Have you checked it?"]

[Aunt May answered, "Your father was always a man of secrets, Peter."]

["Yes, I know!" Peter's eyes were red. ]

[He took out a photo from his briefcase and handed it to Uncle Ben, "Who is this? Do you know who this is?"]

[Uncle Ben studied the photo and guessed, "Probably a colleague of your father's."]

[Aunt May, sensing the somber mood, interrupted, "Clear it off the table, Peter. It's time for dinner. Go wash your hands."]

["Alright," Peter responded, obediently setting the briefcase aside before heading to his room after dinner.]

[Uncle Ben turned around and looked at Aunt May in the kitchen. She had not dared to show it in front of Peter just now, but now she could not help but cover her mouth and cried sadly.]

"Peter Parker..." Rajit Ratha looked at Peter's face in the screen and remembered that he had seen him in Oscorp yesterday and bumped into him.

He couldn't help but frown, remembering the spider that was missing yesterday. When he found out, he thought that the researchers accidentally messed up.

Now it seems that Spider-Man could have done it, but Rajit Ratha couldn't figure out how Peter Parker got into the laboratory and how he knew the password?

Rajit knew very well how Richard Parker and Mary Parker died. They did die in a plane accident, but this accident was not an ordinary accident.

He was not a fool and had thought about taking care of Peter directly, but he guessed that Peter might have become Spider-Man by now, and the screen might not let him succeed.

[After dinner, Peter returned to his room and carefully checked the contents of his briefcase.]

[He took out a pair of glasses from the glasses case, thought for a moment, took out the contact lenses in his pupils, and put on his father's glasses.]

[Then he picked up Richard Parker's work badge, which clearly said Oscorp Industries. Looking at this badge, he seemed to be back to that night.]

["You have to be a good boy! Peter!" Richard Parker squatted in front of little Peter Parker. ]

["where are you going?"]

["There are some things...that your mother and I need to deal with together."]

[Peter's recollection ends, and he continues to check the briefcase. He turns it over and over, and feels that the thickness is not right.]

[He felt around the back and found a hidden compartment with many documents inside.]

[Peter picked up the document, and thought of something. He quickly stood up and closed the door, and locked it from the inside, so that even if someone outside had the room key, they couldn't open it.]

"That's..." Connor's eyes widened. Could this be the Decay Rate Algorithm he had been looking for?

Rajit was also very surprised. They had not found Richard Parker's decay rate algorithm no matter what. It turned out that it was hidden in Ben Parker's house and he did not take it away at all.

No wonder they have gained nothing after all these years, and after losing Richard Parker, their research has stagnated for many years.

Rajit has not yet found the correct decay rate algorithm, and Norman Osborn is almost unable to hold on, but it appears at this time. The only regret is that it is in Spider-Man's hands.

Rajit's expression darkened. "Retrieving it from Spider-Man won't be easy. We'll have to find another way."
