Marvel: Devour to Evolve From Naruto

Chapter 29: The Exhausted Third Raikage

"What insane endurance!"

Watching the Third Raikage finally show signs of fatigue after three days of battle, Shizune

couldn't help but exclaim in disbelief.

Through a miniature satellite, the Iron Man suit was providing a live feed to Ron and his

companions.

Tsunade, watching the projection, sighed. "Yeah..."

"Aside from the Senju clan, the Hidden Cloud's Lightning Chakra Mode grants the greatest

physical enhancement."

"If we're talking pure physical strength, even my grandfather couldn't match him."

Restraining the Nine-Tails—whether it was Madara Uchiha or Hashirama Senju—was never

about raw physical power.

Madara relied on his Sharingan.

Hashirama relied on Wood Release.

But the Third Raikage?

He held down the Eight-Tails with brute strength alone.

Even though the Eight-Tails is weaker than the Nine-Tails, this still proves just how monstrously

strong his body is.

"Yeah, what an incredible physique..."

Soon, it will be mine.

Ron thought to himself.

With the Raikage's abilities, he would finally have some level of self-defense in the Marvel universe.

And with his Stark identity on top of that, even the real power players wouldn't dare make a move

on him so easily.

People like Professor Charles or the Ancient One, for example.

"Ro—Master, did you bring us here... to save him?" Tsunade started to say Ron's name but quickly

corrected herself when he shot her a look.

Ron shook his head. "Why would I save him?"

"I don't even know the guy."

"I just want his corpse."

Hearing Ron's rare explanation, Tsunade felt a strange sense of excitement inside.

"You want his body?" Her face remained emotionless, but her cautious tone gave her true feelings

away.

Ron waved his hand dismissively. "Even if I explained, you wouldn't understand."

Tsunade pouted. "Oh..."

Listening to their conversation, Shizune rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.

She was used to it by now. Or maybe she had just seen too much and become numb to it.

Over the past few days, she had witnessed this kind of scene too often.

At the beginning, things weren't supposed to turn out this way.

A handsome, charismatic man.

One who could conjure up endless delicious meals.

That giant feast—Ron had brought it back in just an hour.

Which meant he had been incredibly busy during that time.

Logically, this should have led to a strong friendship.

But then Jiraiya showed up, and everything changed.

It was all Jiraiya's fault!

Shizune cursed him in her heart as she watched Tsunade's image shatter.

Tsunade, who once carried herself like an unshakable warrior, now looked like a shy, obedient wife.

'You're just hopelessly crushing on him, Tsunade-sama. He's never going to like you back!'

'Serves you right!'

Ron, however, had no time to pay attention to their expressions.

His focus was locked onto the screen.

The Third Raikage was finally running out of stamina.

Ron stood up and equipped his battle armor.

"Stay here and wait for me."

With that, his suit ignited its thrusters, launching him into the sky.

"That armor can actually be worn?!" Shizune's eyes widened in shock, her mouth slightly agape.

"Ron-sama is seriously... so mysterious~!"

Watching Ron disappear into the distance, Tsunade's expression grew complicated.

She knew something was wrong with her current mindset.

Just like how she once knew she shouldn't be afraid of blood.

But she couldn't help it.

She couldn't change it—whenever she saw blood, her body trembled and became weak.

And now, whenever she saw Ron, her fiery temper automatically disappeared.

'No, I'm just doing this to protect Konoha!'

'Yes, that's right!'

'As long as I behave, Ron won't target Konoha again!'

'Even one of his suits is something Konoha can't counter. If he has more... he could wipe us out!'

'Not to mention he has Wood Release—it rightfully belongs to Konoha!'

'This is all just a misunderstanding.'

'I'm only sacrificing a little dignity to secure Konoha's peace!'

'To change Ron's perception of Konoha!'

As she kept brainwashing herself, Tsunade's complex expression gradually faded.

Replaced by determination.

Her gaze landed on Shizune.

'Ron clearly has an interest in Shizune too.'

'If that could make him treat Konoha better, then maybe...'

...

On the battlefield.

Wave after wave of Iwa-nin charged forward.

And wave after wave fell.

Out of the original ten thousand, fewer than half were still alive.

Most had been reduced to bloody chunks.

But then, they noticed something.

At some point, the terrifying Raikage's attacks had begun to weaken.

He was conserving energy.

No longer rampaging across the battlefield.

Each strike was more measured, trying to use the least amount of strength to kill his enemies.

And sometimes, he even miscalculated.

His attacks lacked power.

Instead of killing, he only severely wounded his targets.

Seeing this, the near-broken Iwa-nin were reinvigorated.

This demon of a man... was finally reaching his limit!

Even Onoki, who had been hovering in the air for three days, felt a surge of excitement despite his

exhaustion.

But he didn't dare let his guard down.

Because he knew.

The closer they got to the end, the greater the risk of something unexpected happening.

'A journey of a hundred miles is only half complete at ninety.'
