Chapter 33: "Iron Schemes & Spider Dreams"

Looking at Tony heading off to bed, Ron shook his head with a smile.
As expected, tsundere guys are no different from kids.
J.A.R.V.I.S. chimed in, "Sir, you're more persuasive than Miss Potts."
"..."
Ron was eager to return to the Marvel universe—mostly because of the whole Mandarin situation.
If he remembered correctly, Pepper was going to be kidnapped this time.
And on top of that, Killian was going to inject her with that dangerous virus.
What was Killian's motive again?
Oh, right—because Tony tricked him onto a rooftop and left him freezing all night?
And what was Tony doing during all that time?
Ron blinked. "Wasn't he... getting deep into biological discussions with some female scientist?"
Oh, yeah! That scientist—Maya Hansen.
The main developer of that virus.
I wonder how Tony would react if he realized that his inability to keep it in his pants led to all of this
—including putting Pepper in danger.
That expression would be priceless.
Ron smirked. "J.A.R.V.I.S., take a note."
"When Tony wakes up, have him look into Maya Hansen—she's a scientist."
"And tell him to make two more Adamantium suits—one for Pepper."
"Understood, sir."
"Hey, Ron!"
"Gwen."
After tucking Tony in, Ron freshened up and went to grab some food. That's when Gwen messaged
him, asking where he was.
He replied: "New York."
And just like that, they made plans to meet in an hour.
Throwing on his suit, Ron took off at Mach 5.
At that speed, he covered over 6,000 kilometers in an hour. Malibu to New York was just under
4,000 kilometers, meaning he made it in 40 minutes—leaving him an extra 20 minutes to spare.
Enough time to swing by Stark Tower, remove his suit, and check on Pepper.
But she wasn't in her office.
Without sticking around, Ron made his way to the meeting spot.
The moment he arrived, he saw her—
A youthful, energetic figure.
Black blouse with a white jacket.
Slim jeans that highlighted her long legs.
Even from a distance, she radiated youthful charm.
Compared to Tsunade, they were polar opposites.
Not as curvy, sure.
But she had her own appeal.
"Hey, Have you been waiting long?" Ron asked.
"Nope, just got here," Gwen beamed, running up to him.
She spread her arms slightly, then hesitated, fiddling with her fingers—
Like she wanted a hug but was too shy to go for it.
Ron chuckled, stepping in to embrace her.
Soft. But not too soft.
Not bad.
Gwen felt Ron's firm grip and rolled her eyes playfully but didn't pull away.
After a few seconds, she finally let go, a bit reluctant.
They were in public, after all.
People were coming and going.
Too long would be awkward.
Ron took her hand and rubbed his stomach. "So, where are we going?"
"But just so you know—I'm starving."
"And I need you to fix that."
Gwen felt warmth spread through her hand, her heart skipping a beat.
She had the urge to share everything about her life with him.
"How about I take you to try some school food?" she suggested.
Ron smiled. "Sure."
"But if it sucks, I'm donating money to upgrade your cafeteria."
"You're already small enough—don't want you starving even more."
At first, Gwen didn't get it.
Then she followed his gaze—
Down to her chest.
"Ugh! You're the worst!" she huffed, dragging him along.
Ron couldn't see her face, but her big eyes kept blinking.
'Are they really that small?'
'Not that small, right?'
'Ron likes bigger ones?'
'Okay, compared to Mary Jane... yeah, maybe. But among my peers, I'm doing fine!'
'Besides, I'm only 18! Still growing!'
'Wait... but if they get too big, will my Spider suit look weird?'
'Ugh! This is all Ron's fault! Why does he have to like big ones?!'
Noticing her shy reaction, Ron decided not to tease her anymore.
Instead, he enjoyed the warmth of her hand—and the view as she pulled him along.
She must have felt his gaze because her face turned even redder.
Her pace quickened, almost like she was running away.
By the time they reached the school and sat down, the blush on her face finally faded.
Looking around at the bustling campus, Ron raised a brow. "You guys still have classes?"
"How'd you even get out?"
He knew Gwen was a top student.
But skipping class?
Gwen laughed. "I didn't skip."
"I already have enough credits—almost enough for college, too."
"So, I applied for an internship."
"I'm working at Dr. Connors' lab as an intern."
"Today, he gave me the day off, so I had time to meet you."
