"You're a great scientist."

"Too bad you're too impatient."

Ron leaped high into the air.

Then, he stomped down hard on the lizard.

Slamming it back into the crater.

The next second—

Loud explosions echoed from inside the pit, one after another.

Mixed with the monster's agonized roars.

Scales and blood splattered everywhere.

The ground around the crater completely shattered.

Cracks spread out in all directions, reaching over ten meters away.

The entire school trembled as if hit by a powerful earthquake.

Finally, a dazzling bolt of lightning burst out from the crater.

Hell Stab: Four-Finger Thrust!

Ron's lightning-charged hand pierced through the giant lizard's heart.

It could no longer regenerate.

It twitched twice and then stopped moving.

The earthquake ceased simultaneously.

The chaos inside the crater also faded into silence.

Seeing this, Gwen anxiously ran to the edge of the pit.

But the giant lizard had mysteriously vanished.

All that was left was Ron—shirtless.

His muscles well-defined, his body sculpted like a statue.

Gwen jumped down and immediately wrapped her arms around him.

Her hands moved all over his body, checking him over.

"You're covered in blood! Are you hurt?!"

Ron: …

Are you checking for injuries, or just taking advantage of me?

But when he saw the deep concern in Gwen's eyes, he chose to stay silent.

She was bound to be his woman.

If she wanted to touch, who else would he let do it?

With a pulse of chakra, the blood and grime on his body fell away.

He was clean once again.

Gwen's eyelids twitched.

She pretended not to notice and continued patting him down.

After a thorough check, she finally let out a breath of relief and patted her small chest.

Suddenly, her eyes widened.

She grabbed Ron's arm and pulled him along.

"We have to go! You're not even wearing a shirt! No one can see you like this!"

She was overthinking it.

There was no one around.

Anyone who had survived the Battle of New York had long since fled at the first sign of danger.

The dumb ones? Well, they didn't survive.

Even those who stuck around to watch were keeping their distance.

They couldn't even see Ron and Gwen's faces clearly.

Gwen dragged him into a quiet alleyway.

"Ron, wait here. I'll go get you some—mmph!?"

Before she could finish, she was cut off.

Gwen's eyes widened.

Then, they grew hazy.

Even her tongue hesitated.

A heady warmth filled the air.

Two bright lights were swallowed by the darkness.

The alley plunged into blackness.

No one knew how much time passed.

Gwen, breathless, finally pushed Ron away.

"Ron, you—you were about to suffocate me~!"

Despite her words, there was no real blame in her voice.

She hadn't even taken off her battle suit.

She had only thrown on some extra clothes over it.

Taking two steps back, she lowered her head and smoothed out the wrinkles in her suit, caused by

the earlier fight.

Then, she put her jacket back on properly.

She shot Ron a playful glare.

"You're so naughty~!"

Ron chuckled. "Didn't we make a deal?"

Gwen blinked. "What deal?"

Ron smirked. "That after we took down the big lizard, we'd find a quiet place."

"And look, didn't you specifically pick this spot?"

Gwen's eyes widened.

Shameless!

She had only been worried about him being seen without clothes!

She brought him here to wait while she found him something to wear.

And he—he?!

Still had his mind on that?

Just as she was fuming, she noticed Ron pulling out a shirt from… somewhere and putting it on.

Seriously?! He had clothes this whole time?

So she had worried for nothing!

Realizing Ron had been enjoying her reaction the whole time—and even used it as an excuse to

take advantage of her—Gwen rolled her eyes in frustration.

Turning on her heel, she started walking out of the alley.

"I'm done with you."

Ron reached out and pulled her back.

"Oh no, you're not."

Gwen tensed. "What do you want now?"

Ron grinned. "I just saved your life and took care of a huge problem."

Gwen stared at him, half nervous, half expectant.

Ron blinked. "Is it too much to ask for a meal in return?"

"Huh?" A hint of disappointment flashed across Gwen's face.

"Just a meal?"

Ron shrugged. "What else did you think?"

"I haven't eaten all day, then I got interrupted earlier."

"On top of that, I just went through an intense workout. I'm starving."

Gwen pursed her lips. "Fine, fine!"

"I'll treat you. What do you want to eat?"

Hearing the distant sound of police sirens, Ron smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulder,

leading her out of the alley.

"Let's get out of here first. We'll decide on the way."

"Don't worry, I don't eat much. I won't make you go broke."

"Pfft~! My wallet's more than healthy enough. Even if you eat till you explode, you won't break me."

Gwen patted her small purse proudly.

After all, her dad was the NYPD commissioner.

His annual salary? A few hundred thousand dollars.

In U.S. dollars!

A little meal money? She could handle that.
