Chapter 93: Chapter 93
The side effect of Luke's secret learning of Spider-Sense, which led to him becoming a talkative person, lasted for two days.
On the third morning, when Luke woke up, he was surprised to find that all his symptoms had subsided.
He had been worried sick these past two days. Fortunately, it was just a temporary side effect, and he didn't become a chatterbox permanently.
After returning to normal, Luke didn't want to talk anymore.
It was a brand-new day again.
In the morning, Skye brought in several of her laptops and equipment, spending the entire morning assembling them. It seemed she was planning to live in the warehouse permanently.
Skye was learning new techniques.
From the perspective of artificial intelligence, Ross only needed to briefly mention some techniques, and they could serve as a hacker's bible.
Skye absorbed these technologies she had never heard of before like a sponge. These days, the word she often said was: "Awesome!"
This 200-square-meter warehouse was divided into two floors. Skye had a small home on the upper floor. The lower floor was the mecha workshop, with various instruments and equipment placed everywhere.
When Luke came in, he saw that, in addition to Skye, there was also a short figure running around in a white snowman suit.
The one in the snowman costume was Ross.
Before her artificial skin was ready, she had to put something else over the alloy skeleton. After asking Luke for permission, he thought about it and pulled a snowman costume from his magic box, giving it to her.
The 1.3-meter-tall snowman looked exactly like the DNF female magician wearing a snowman costume, as if stepping straight into reality—snow-white, round, wearing a red scarf, with a pointed nose, short stature, short legs. She looked absolutely adorable as she ran around.
"Master, good morning! Coffee? Or tea? Or milk?" Snowman Ross ran over with a cup of hot milk, asking in a sweet voice.
Upstairs, Skye looked up from her laptop screen, glanced at the two below, and shook her head with a strange expression.
A little while later, before Luke finished his usual morning milk, Peter Parker came running into the warehouse with his short legs.
Today was Saturday. Luke had called Spider-Man over to officially begin training him.
Skye looked down from the second floor, noticing something peculiar—why were there so many short legs? Three in total.
Peter Parker looked extremely excited. He hadn't slept much last night, unable to contain his anticipation after hearing Luke would start training him. But even with so little sleep, he was still full of energy early in the morning.
Luke called Skye down, asking her to meet Spider-Man properly.
When Peter Parker saw Skye, his eyes lit up with curiosity. "Miss, are you Chinese?" He had noticed Skye's distinct Chinese features.
"Half, I guess," Skye nodded with a smile.
Peter Parker grinned and immediately said to Skye, "F*ck! Ma'am!"
Skye was stunned. WTF? She turned to Luke, her eyes wide with suspicion. "Did you teach him that?"
Luke: "Uh-huh."
Skye could speak a few simple Chinese phrases. She had taught herself a little while investigating her own origins.
Like most people, the first words she learned in a foreign language were either greetings or curse words.
She also knew how to say "f*ck."
While Spider-Man was getting acquainted with Ross the Snowman, Skye leaned in and whispered to Luke, "Why are you teaching him that? It's not good for kids to swear."
"He still thinks it's a compliment to you."
"…"
Skye's mouth fell open. Then, she nearly burst out laughing. Luke was too mischievous.
"Let me introduce you. Labmem No. 003, Peter Parker. Labmem No. 004, Skye. From now on, you're both mine, so don't be shy." Luke declared.
Why wasn't Ross included? Because the organization didn't accept animals.
"You're 003? Hello." Skye extended her hand and shook Spider-Man's with a smile.
"Fck sht, my name is Peter Benjamin Parker. You can call me Peter or Parker. Luke and I are good buddies, we've known each other for a long time. Nice to meet you, ma'am, you're so beautiful."
Skye chuckled. "Thank you."
Peter Parker glanced at Luke questioningly.
Luke nodded.
So, Peter Parker stepped back a little and suddenly leaped into the air.
Skye's mouth fell open in shock.
Right in front of her, Peter Parker jumped from the ground to the second floor, flipping mid-air as he did so.
He grabbed the second-floor railing and waved excitedly at them.
"Not bad, right?" Luke stood beside Skye, looking up at the excited little Spider, asking her.
"No wonder you said your organization only accepts talented people. He's so young, and he already has superpowers?" Skye was amazed. Smacking her lips, she admitted, "I gotta say, that's pretty damn cool."
She was a fan of superpowers, always longing to see that world for herself.
Now, that world was unfolding before her, introduced by two little kids—three, if Ross was included.
"I plan to train him here and teach him a few things. Once he's fully in control of his abilities, I'll have him clean up underground crime in New York."
"Kids fighting crime? Are you kidding me?" Skye exclaimed.
Luke shrugged, not bothering to explain.
He had absolute confidence in training Peter Parker into a formidable hero.
Kingpin should feel honored to meet Spider-Man so many years ahead of schedule.
Luke spent the entire Saturday training Spider-Man in mastering his control over his abilities.
No one in the world understood Spider-Man's potential better than he did—not even Peter Parker himself. This left Peter amazed and made him trust Luke even more.
Although Peter Parker was still young, genetically, he was no different from the future Spider-Man. What he lacked was experience, skill, and proper equipment.
Luke made sure Spider-Man was well-fed.
Project Bug: Let Ross design an all-purpose armor for Spider-Man Peter Parker.
In the movies, Spider-Man first created a makeshift four-in-one suit for himself, a low-quality one that Tony Stark mocked. Later, Tony personally designed a proper suit for him.
Eventually, Tony even crafted an advanced Iron Spider suit.
Luke, having seen the movies, felt Tony had practically raised Peter Parker as his own son.
There was no doubt Tony admired Peter Parker, but in this timeline, things would be different. Spider-Man had been intercepted by Luke eight years earlier and would never join the Avengers.
Instead, Luke would personally train Peter Parker from childhood, molding him into the core force of his yet-to-be-named organization.
He would never let Spider-Man down. He would give him something far better than what Tony could offer—things Tony wouldn't even consider.
Luke immediately pulled out the blueprints for the Tornado air combat mecha, instructing Ross to modify them.
Ross was currently custom-designing a small Iron Man suit for Peter Parker, based on the Mark VI blueprints she had "borrowed" from Jarvis. Now, it was just a matter of time.
The core technology was based on Celestial Technology, the engineering borrowed from the Mark VI, and the paint job? Red and blue, spider-themed. Those were Luke's requirements.
Ross estimated that Project Bug could be completed in as little as 20 days.
Luke had promised Spider-Man that if he stuck with him, he'd get the best food, the best gear, and even the best girls.
"The suit is almost done, but we're still missing the girl."
Luke stroked his chin, deep in thought. Spider-Man's original wife… wasn't her name Jane something?
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, the Inhuman princess and her mentor were thirty seconds away from entering the battlefield…
