Chapter 42: Ch. 42 - Meeting Sirzechs again!
I need to find a way to forge my own Sling Rings.
Now that the members of the Masters of the Mystic Arts or simply Mystic Society for short, increased with Belle joining, I'm gonna need more Sling Rings for each member to have.
Currently, Belle and Tam, including me have our own Sling Rings but that's all I have left. Either I find my way back to the Marvel Universe to fetch more or I create one as a substitute.
At this moment, I could only choose the latter considering I haven't found a way to go back home yet.
"Master, what is this?" Standing in front of me were the two siblings, looking at the Sling Rings on their hands with confusion.
"Those are called Sling Rings. Wearing them will allow you to conjure interdimensional portals that would allow you to cross throughout the entire universe."
"Universe?" They both tilted their heads, unfamiliar with the said word.
"…You can think of it as a large marble. Inside this marble are the stars and planets. And the one we're stepping on is a planet. The universe is very wide, you can pretty much call it infinite considering how the Universe is ever-expanding." Listening to my explanation, the two nodded their heads like chickens pecking their heads.
"Now, with this Sling Ring, it doesn't matter how long your destination is. As long as you can imagine the place in your mind, your portal will lead you there."
To demonstrate, I wore my Sling Ring, showing how it is worn on the index and middle finger before creating distance between me and them.
"To conjure a portal. Simply wave your fingers like this all while planting the image of your destination in your mind." Pushing my arms forward, I waved my hand wearing the Sling Ring in a circular motion.
Much to their excited expressions, orange sparks start to form in front of me—a few seconds passed and there's now a circle portal sparking in front of me.
Belle and Tam extended their necks to take a closer look at the portal and saw the different view on the other side.
"Why…is it so cold?" Belle couldn't help but hug herself after feeling the cold air coming out of the portal.
As for Tam, he was feeling unbothered by the coldness thanks to his devil physiology.
"Beyond this portal is a place called South Pole. It is so-called that a normal human without any proper clothing will freeze to death within minutes." I explained, watching as horror appeared on Belle's face while on the other hand, interest was on Tam's.
"Now, this is just a demonstration of course, we're not gonna cross this." While saying this, I dispelled the portal and continued.
"Now, how about you two show me how much you learned."
***
"This is harder than I expected," Belle muttered to herself while waving her hand in the air.
However, unlike what their Master Chamber showed earlier, she was causing only sparks.
Unlike her, her brother Tam, has already conjured a portal that leads to the Farm House.
"Come on, sis. You can do this!" He encouraged.
However, instead of being grateful to him, I couldn't help but feel like he was mocking me. Establishing the fact that he's superior to me.
"Something's on your mind, Belle." Suddenly, Master Chamber appeared behind her, placing his hand on her shoulder.
"I-I'm sorry, Master. I-It must be my talent. I'm not like Tam. I'm just a-"
"Is it talent that is hindering you? Or something else? Something that has been occupying your mind since the lesson started." Master Chamber suddenly interrupted her.
"I…" Belle felt the words she was about to speak stuck in her throat.
"Talk to me, Belle. What's bothering you?" Hearing his words, Belle couldn't help but ask herself the question.
What has indeed been bothering her lately?
Before she knew it, her gaze unconsciously went towards her little brother.
Ah, that's right. It was him. All this time, she felt jealous of her brother and yet, she couldn't afford to let it out.
Because it was this same brother who saved her from her sickness. She would be selfish and rude if she lashed out at him just because he was special and she wasn't.
Before she knew it, tears started to well from her eyes.
"I-I'm sorry…" She choked, confusing Tam as to why his sister was looking at him while apologizing.
"Sis? What's wrong?" Tam worriedly stepped forward to comfort his sister, his innocence and naivety making Belle more emotional.
How could she? How could she resent her little brother? She's the older one, she should be mature. She was the one who their parents asked to take care of little Tam before they died.
But now, all because of envy and jealousy, she was destroying her relationship with her brother.
"Don't cry, sis." For some reason, Tam, still at the tender age of ten, hugged her sister and cried.
"You two…" On the side, Chamber sighed softly, at least now the problem of Belle has been solved.
***
After confessing what she felt and what has been occupying her, Belle finally found herself being clear-headed.
Resuming their practice, it didn't take long for Belle to finally conjure her very first portal, which leads to the stables, causing shock and unrest among the resting horses.
"Thank you, Master Chamber." Approaching me, Belle bowed her head and expressed her gratitude.
"Don't mention it. You are my student, Belle." I smiled and replied before shifting my attention to Tam.
"Tam, I'll be gone for a short while. I want you to teach your sister the Mystic Whip and the Tao Mandalas."
"Yes, Master!" Tam, excited to take the lead this time, nodded his head several times.
As for Belle, with how she finally felt, agreed without any problem.
Satisfied with their response, I turned to leave.
As for the reason why I'm leaving, during the training with Belle and Tam, I received an Audio-Visual Communication spell from Zekram, stating the time for the upcoming meeting and the hidden location.
Wanting to know more about the plans of Zekram, I obviously agreed. Especially since the lunatic was planning on weakening God and helping the Satans to kill him.
To me, I'm aware of how much chaos will happen in this world if Zekram succeeds and God dies.
'The next time I meet God, I should tell him about what Zekram is planning. He should be aware of it.' Still, at the same time, I'm quite a bit afraid of exposing myself as a traitor to Zekram and the others.
As I'm still weak, I would be lying if I said that I don't need the help of those devils.
To establish myself and the Masters of the Mystic Arts in this universe, I knew I was going to need a strong backer and assistance.
My plan is quite similar to the Ancient One. How she pretended to be obedient to Dormammu after borrowing energy from him then proceeded to stab him in the back.
I, on the other hand, will take reference to her but instead of stabbing the devils in the back, I'll just establish my own set of rules that would bind not only the devils but the entirety of the Supernatural world.
You see, the three Sanctum Sanctorums back in the Marvel Universe have a huge purpose. Each Sanctum serves as a huge rune that puts a shield over the entire Earth, forbidding those from beyond to enter through normal means.
In this way, Ancient One was able to barricade the Earth from beings with malicious intentions such as Dimensional Lords, Evil Gods, and even Devils.
As for Asgard, the only reason why they're able to freely enter Earth is because they're aligned with the Ancient One and her purpose to defend Earth as the said planet falls under Asgard's protection.
This would also be my reason for building the Sanctums. However, unlike Ancient One, I plan to build more than just three Sanctums.
My goal is to build around five Sanctum Sanctorums throughout the world.
Their purpose would of course be the same, to barricade Earth from Supernatural Beings residing in their own dimensions such as the Devils, Gods, and many others.
As for retaliation, I'm already expecting such a thing to happen, hence like Ancient One, I would partner myself with a strong faction and it's not Asgard.
Who else in this world, I can partner with but God and his Kingdom of Heaven?
This is the reason why I'm going to snitch, telling him about the Apocalypse Beast so the old man would know what's coming for him and prepare himself.
Shaking myself from these thoughts, it's time to focus on the current matter at hand which is attending the meeting.
Conjuring a portal to the said location, a circular spark appeared, showing a relatively bright room residing on the other side of the portal.
This is the meeting location that Zekram showed me through the Audio-Visual Communication spell.
The place looks a bit old and dirty, with only the candles and burning fireplace illuminating the room.
It doesn't even look like a meeting room but more like a living room with red couches and shelves containing wrinkled and dusty books, enough for others to know its age.
Sitting casually on one of the couches facing the burning fireplace was the lunatic himself, Zekram Bael.
"Ah, Chamber! You're the first to arrive. You know, I'm quite jealous of your mode of transportation. Not only it is more convenient than a teleportation spell but it could also bypass my space lock restrictions." Zekram said with a cheery attitude before casting an envious look toward the sparking portal.
"Thank you, Zekram." I nodded my head and replied. Though to me personally, I prefer their teleportation spell because of the fact that it doesn't require any Sling Rings to cast.
"Come, sit." Zekram patted the empty seat beside him.
However, instead, I sat in front of him. No way I'm sitting beside a crazy man who's ready to risk his entire life for his ideals.
Zekram looked like he didn't mind and proceeded to initiate the conversation.
"I've heard about what happened in your village. Those Vampires are truly audacious enough to attack a random village full of innocent humans." As he spoke, Zekram bore a solemn expression on his face as if he truly felt bad for the humans.
If it wasn't for me knowing him, I might've thought he was really sympathizing with the humans.
"Well, fortunately, it was me that was their target, so the humans are fine." At the same time as I finished my words, we heard a knocking on the door followed by the opening.
"Ah! If it isn't my favorite nephew! Come come!" Zekram grinned as he gestured for the newcomer, who turned out to be Sirzechs, to come inside.
'Wait, Nephew? So they're relatives…' I muttered to myself while eyeing the red-haired man in front of me.
Unable to resist the urge to peek at his reserves, I couldn't help but widen my eyes in surprise as a single thought passed through my mind.
This guy grew strong again!
How many weeks or maybe months since we last saw each other and the guy's strength almost doubled!
Just how strong is he going to become?
Suddenly, a wild guess appeared inside my mind.
'Is he perhaps…this world's chosen one? The universe's main character?'
I mean, I'm quite a bit right. Born as the heir of one of the most prestigious families in the Underworld, having a monstrous talent, joins a secret organization dedicated to overthrowing the current Satans of the Underworld, and not to mention, he's handsome.
All of these are the main traits of a story's main character!
For some reason, I grew a bit wary of this man. If there's anything negative about him, then it should be that as the main character, he must be a certain attraction of trouble.
No doubt being with his existence will pull me to his problematic situations.
Nope, not today. From now on, I'll do my best to stay away from this red-haired man!
