Chapter 46: Ch. 46 - Vampire Massacre!
Unbeknownst to the vampires, their presence has long been known by Chamber, who have already made plans against them.
While they're still a few kilometers away from the village, Chamber had discreetly brought them all to the Mirror Dimension without any of them noticing.
How did he do it?
You see, what's fantastic about Mirror Dimensions is that creating them is silent and produces no sound, so Chamber sneakily created a large crack in the space and manipulated the crack to engulf them all one by one but not through their front instead, from their behind.
In this way, Chamber achieved the effect of silently bringing them to the dimension without causing a reaction from them.
Except for their sense of smell which can easily be hidden with a simple magic spell, Vampires don't have any means of detecting their surroundings.
And now, upon their arrival at the village, Chamber kept his eye on them and upon arriving inside the walls of the village, he activated the rune he created inside the village.
It is basically a prototype barrier that blocks everything that contains magic or mana from getting in and out.
It is a double-purpose barrier as it can be used for defense but also to trap enemies in a single place without letting them escape.
This is the current rune he's been practicing creating as it is similar to the large barrier that surrounds the Earth from the Marvel Universe with the three Sanctum Sanctorums serving as the nodes to power the barrier.
As he said earlier, this is just a prototype rune and its function is less effective, especially in range as it can only cover the entire village.
For now.
Once he developed it far enough, he could cover continents with just a single rune, and with his plan to have five Sanctum Sanctorums to be built, it'll take no time before the entire supernatural world is barred from entering the human world.
You see, what's funny about all the existing Gods whether major or minor, is that they all live in their own and separate dimensions, not only them, but most Supernatural beings such as the Angels and Devils, also live in another dimension.
Only weaker Supernatural races such as Vampires, Werewolves, and such are the only ones who live in the human world.
The purpose of the barrier rune or as he named it Aegis of the Eternal Veil, is to prevent the Gods and powerful races from entering Earth while he and his Mystic Society would be the ones to handle the Vampires and alike.
It's kind of like keeping the strong ones away while personally watching over the weaker ones.
After all, no matter how strong he becomes, it would be impossible to directly and personally keep the Gods away.
Even if he does become strong enough or the strongest one in this world, it would be quite a hassle to personally watch over everyone.
Chamber suddenly snapped back to reality when he noticed that the vampires were preparing to leave, only to be repelled by the barrier he created through runes.
'It works!' Chamber cheered in his mind.
Although the barrier is designed to repel only those who can magic in their bodies, it's not as easy as it seems. All living beings in the world whether humans or even animals, have magic in their bodies, albeit weaker and smaller compared to an average supernatural being.
There are only a few cases such as Tam, who has twice as much mana as a normal human.
And so, he sets up a limit on the barrier. Let's explain it in numbers.
A normal human has an average mana of 5 to 10, in rare cases going up until 15.
So, the barrier is 'programmed' to only repel those whose mana and any other kinds of energy such as Demonic Energy, are numbered 16 and above.
"Everyone! It's a trap!" Hearing the old vampire's warning, Chamber raised an eyebrow and immediately made his move.
The pocket watch hanging from his neck immediately glowed in green light as Chamber cast the Temporal Lock ability on every vampire inside the village.
He's been training with his Chronos Requiem and so far, he managed to improve it to the point that he can now put a single being into a Temporal Lock for an entire minute.
As for these vampires, Chamber would only be able to lock them for 5 seconds at most. It might not sound much but when it comes to battle, even a millisecond mattered very much.
So the fact that all these vampires are unaware that they're locked in time for 5 seconds, is enough for Chamber to cast Demonic Bullets that penetrated deep into their foreheads, slowly dwindling their numbers.
However, despite gaining an advantage, it was impossible for Chamber to fully eradicate the vampires and only managed to eliminate one-tenth of them before he lost grip over their Temporal Locks.
The old vampire's eyes widened in surprise mixed with cautiousness and fear while the younger one beside him, was shivering slightly upon seeing so many of his brethren dead on the ground.
'I should learn some AoE Spells that could kill hundreds in a single area.' Chamber thought to himself. Unfortunately, he's going to need a magic circle to fully maximize the large spells.

"Where are you, Wizard? Show yourself!" Damien, knowing who they're up to thanks to the old vampire's reports, raised his finger and looked around frantically.
The other vampires around him started sniffing the air, searching for the perpetrator.
Unfortunately for them, vampires aren't exactly made for scouting. Their rivals, the werewolves have much stronger smell capabilities and can distinguish different kinds of smells even if they're mixed in the air.
So unless they have a werewolf among them which is highly impossible, the vampires won't find even the scent of his foot if he wanted.
Chamber, standing on the roof of one of the houses in the village, was covered by an illusion spell.
Although if he wanted, he could remain unseen by the vampires for as long as he wanted but unfortunately, he doubted he could remain this way and just throw Demonic Bullets at them.
Looks like he's going to need to personally kill these vampires one by one.
Scanning his eyes across the army of vampires, Chamber managed to deduce who among them was the weakest and the strongest.
'The weakest should be that wealthy-looking vampire, and how ironic, the weakest and strongest among them is standing side by side.' Chamber chuckled to himself as he squinted his eyes at the old vampire standing side by side with the noble-looking vampire.
'His aura is quite strong. He should be around High-class in strength like me.'
Knowing this, Chamber wasn't nervous, why should he? The vampire elder he fought last time also belonged to the High-class and look where he is now, mud on the dirt in the Enchanted Forest.
And besides, he also has his Chronos Requiem.
He's been wanting to test one of its abilities that is supposed to give him speed equivalent to Quicksilver.
The Chrono Shift, casting this ability on himself will accelerate his temporal flow, and combined with his passive ability of Time Sense, he could practically slow down his surroundings with him being the only one who can move normally.
So without hesitation, Chamber dispelled the illusion he cast on himself and jumped on the ground, catching everyone by surprise.
"I wasn't expecting you to actually show up. What an idiot." Damien sneered while looking at Chamber as if he were an imbecile.
"Everyone! Take him down!" Damien pointed his finger at Chamber and gave the order, making the bloodthirsty vampires, whose anger has been piling up due to the losses of their fellow vampires, launch themselves towards Chamber with reckless abandon.
Looking at all of them with an indifferent expression, Chamber silently cast the Chrono Shift to himself and soon, his entire surroundings started to slow down to the point that the vampires, whose speeds are ten times faster than a normal human, became so slow it almost looks like they weren't moving.
Casting a whip on his left hand and a Tao Mandalas on his right, similar to what Belle showed him yesterday.
Waving his whip, Chamber snapped it forward and watched it clasp itself into one of the vampire's necks, who until now, remained unaware that his life was hanging on a thread.
With a tug of his left arm, he pulled the vampire towards him, and with a shift movement of his right arm, Chamber walked past him.
At first, one might think that the vampire survived but after 5 seconds, a small dot of red line started to fade in on the vampire's neck, and as time passed by the small dot started to expand into a line that continued for several more seconds until the entire neck of the vampire is covered in a single line of red.
Back to Chamber, after passing by the first vampire, he continued the same routine, his glowing whip and Tao Mandalas dancing around the battlefield, taking life after life without anyone noticing.
Only after 30 seconds had passed in Chamber's perspective, only then did the old vampire's eyes widen in surprise, causing Chamber to smile.
While the other vampires are still oblivious to the fact that Chamber is herding them like chickens, the strongest among them has finally reacted.
"I'm not even using my entire speed, I'm just casually moving," Chamber muttered to himself, slowly starting to like the Chrono Shift ability.
With this, he felt like he was the God of Time, stopping time and leaving everyone at his mercy.

[Alaric / Old Vampire PoV]
I kept my eyes on the boy in front of me, he looked like he was around 15, and yet, looking at what he could do, I couldn't believe my eyes.
This boy is not only hundreds of years younger than me, but he's also several times stronger than me!
How can this be? I've honed my strength for years, only to be surpassed by a fifteen-year-old boy whom I've never heard before in my entire life!
Why is the world so unfair and unjust?
Just as I watched him intently while the others rushed towards him, intending to see what this boy was capable of, my already cold blood suddenly went cold when the boy disappeared and what replaced him were hundreds of vampires dead in his wake.
This continued as more and more vampires started falling on their ground, meeting the same fate as the first hundreds of vampires that died first, which is decapitation.
As I was the first to react, the rest of the vampires were a step too late and before they realized that their enemy was gone and their allies were dying, their vision started to darken.
Without hesitation, I quickly grabbed the foolish leader beside me and pulled away from the crowd, throwing ourselves out of the way as the thousands of vampires finally reacted and tried to fight back.
However, despite it all, my fellows never had a chance to fight back, their heads continued to pile on the ground.
'It's his speed! He's way too fast! Faster than even Lord Dracula!' As realization dawned upon my face, I finally registered the fact that we weren't bringing ourselves to kill Lazarus's murderer.
No.
We just brought ourselves to our graves.
