Mike gripped Wade by the neck like holding a sausage and disappeared near X School.

He was much faster than Wade and had already appeared above X School before Wade arrived.

Then, he activated his super hearing and super vision to observe the surroundings carefully, keeping track of Wade's movements.

When Wade appeared, Mike had planned to take him away immediately to test if Deadpool really was immortal, but then he overheard Wade talking to himself.

Seeing that Wade had given up on his original plan, Mike appeared in front of him.

He had grown somewhat interested in what Wade said about another world and decided to learn more from him.

Moving at super speed, Mike appeared above Manhattan and landed on a building. He patted Wade, who looked dazed from the wind: "I have some questions for you."

"Go ahead!"

Wade, grateful to the person who could restore his face, tried to stay as polite as possible.

"I want to know why you tried to kill Charles, and what the situation in your world is like."

"No problem, sir."

For the next ten minutes, Mike endured a flood of words from Wade.

Ignoring a lot of meaningless chatter, Mike summarized the following points:

Wade's world was at the end of 2029.

That world had only mutants—no Avengers, and no Mike or Clark.

No new mutants had been born in over twenty years. The few remaining mutants hid like rats, and the last X-Men had been unconsciously killed by a mentally deteriorating Professor X.

The last two X-Men—Wolverine and Professor X—had been killed just months ago.

Mike's expression turned thoughtful.

How did all this sound like the plot of Wolverine 3?

Charles... the mentally deteriorated Charles?

He thought about his own world—if Charles, as his son, became mentally deteriorated and lost control, killing the X-Men...

A vague sadness welled up inside Mike.

"Hm?"

Mike looked at Wade, who had come close, drooling and fiddling with Mike's suit. His face darkened. Slowly floating upward to create some distance, he said: "Since the time-space device is fixed, you should leave now."

Wade shyly traced circles on the floor with his toe: "But I haven't had my big score yet."

"Do you want me to restore your face back to normal?"

"I'm leaving right now!"

Wade pressed his wrist time-space device twice. The pre-set device activated. The space around him shattered with a rumble, forming a hole that sucked him in, vanishing before Mike's eyes.

Mike exhaled lightly.

That lunatic was finally gone.

So next...

He rubbed his chin, thinking for a few seconds, looked toward the Avengers Tower in the distance, then disappeared.

At night, Mike returned home.

Gwen was obediently waiting at home, though a bit hungry and munching on some snacks.

Clark was busy in the kitchen. Seeing Mike, he popped his head out: "Wait a moment, almost ready."

Mike glanced at the kitchen and twitched slightly at the corner of his mouth. He walked over to Gwen and grabbed her snack plate: "We'll eat soon."

With that, he grabbed a crispy fried corn chip and popped it into his mouth.

"Dad, how is it? Is he still alive?"

"Him? Your brother?"

"With Dad around, Charles is obviously fine. I mean Wade, you didn't... snap!"

Gwen made a choking gesture on her neck, adding sound effects.

"No, he went back," Mike said calmly. "He changed his mind halfway."

Gwen sighed in relief.

"Dad, Gwen, dinner's ready!"

Clark came out carrying two plates of fried rice, calling to them.

Mike glanced at the egg fried rice and raised an eyebrow.

Looks pretty good.

He took a spoonful and tasted it—it was quite tasty, at least much better than before.

Seeing Clark watching expectantly, Mike nodded: "Not bad, it's a pass."

Clark smiled happily, pushed one plate to Gwen, then dashed back into the kitchen. After serving himself, he tasted his portion and smiled with satisfaction.

Midway through the meal, Mike suddenly said, "I'm going on a long trip."

"Where to?"

"Going on vacation?"

The siblings asked separately.

Mike shook his head: "I'm going to see another world."

"Another world?"

Clark was stunned for a moment, then his expression changed: "Dad, you wouldn't...?"

Gwen seemed to realize something and exclaimed, "Are you going to Wade's world?"

Mike nodded. Clark sighed helplessly and explained: "You do know about parallel universes, right?"

Clark nodded and relaxed: "Yeah, I know about that."

He frowned in confusion: "But why suddenly visit another parallel universe? And how are you even going there?"

He understood the concept but didn't know how to make it happen.

Mike drank some water, cleared his throat, and told Clark about Wade's situation, then gradually explained what had happened.

Clark and Gwen looked strange after hearing it all.

Finally, Gwen couldn't hold back and laughed out loud.

"Hahaha, bald-headed Charles, Charles the bald!"

Although Charles in that world was pitiful and they should be serious, just imagining Charles fussing with his hair often, now bald, made them burst out laughing.

Clark chuckled softly and asked Mike, "So, Dad, when do you plan to go?"

"Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow!?"

"Don't worry. In our world, it might only take a few minutes before I'm back."

Clark nodded: "So that's how it is."

"Dear Dad,"

Gwen suddenly put down her utensils and hugged Mike's arm, blinking her big eyes: "I want to go too."

"You?"

Mike patted Gwen's head: "You still have school."

"But you said it's only a few minutes over here?"

"Maybe there will be danger."

"Dad, don't forget, I'm your knight. If there's danger, I'll handle it!"

Gwen patted her chest confidently.

The time-space device—Tony had already tested it, and it shouldn't cause any problems.

Going to another world shouldn't be dangerous.

Since that's the case...

"Alright, then let's prepare to leave tomorrow."

"Yay!"

Gwen cheered.

Clark looked at Mike, eyes full of worry.

"No need to worry," Mike said calmly. "Nothing will go wrong."
