Marvel X The Boys

Chapter 24: Hunt or Be Hunted

The Avengers Tower was a storm of activity. The team had faced gods, aliens, and interdimensional threats— but what they had just witnessed on the news? That was different.

This wasn't a war. It was a massacre.

And now, the Avengers had a new mission.

Gathering Intel

Tony Stark leaned against the conference table, rapidly scrolling through hacked satellite feeds on a holographic display. Surveillance drones were already tracking The Seven's movements, but there was a problem—

"They're gone," Tony muttered, his fingers flying across the controls.

Steve Rogers frowned. "Gone?"

"As in, one second they're committing war crimes on live TV, and the next? No trace. No signals, no movement, not even a 'thanks for watching' message."

Bruce Banner folded his arms. "That's impossible. You don't just disappear after causing that much destruction."

Thor tightened his grip on Mjolnir. "Perhaps they possess magic beyond our understanding."

"Or," Natasha Romanoff said, adjusting her gloves, "they know they're being watched."

A deep silence settled over the room.

Then Clint Barton sighed. "Great. So now we're dealing with a bunch of murdering psychopaths who can vanish whenever they feel like it?"

"Basically," Sam Wilson muttered.

A Strategy is Formed

Steve exhaled. "Alright. We don't know what they want, but we know what they are. They're powerful, ruthless, and they don't care who gets hurt. We can't wait for them to make the first move."

"So we hunt them," Natasha said simply.

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Hunt them? Are we even sure we can take them down? We still don't have a power scale here. If that Captain Patriot-wannabe is even half as strong as Thor, we're looking at a citywide catastrophe."

Thor scoffed. "He is not me."

"Yeah, well, he doesn't think that," Clint muttered, nodding at the frozen screen showing Homelander's smirk.

Wanda Maximoff, who had been silent this whole time, suddenly spoke.

"There's something off about them," she murmured, staring at the screen.

Everyone turned to her.

"They feel… unstable. Like their very existence here is breaking something."

Doctor Strange, who had been flipping through one of his ancient texts, finally looked up. "Because it is."

Strange waved a hand, and golden runes spun into existence above the table.

"This universe was already on the brink of collapse. But when those seven crossed over? It was like gasoline on an open flame. Their presence here isn't natural—it's a tear in the fabric of reality itself."

Tony frowned. "Are you saying we can't kill them without breaking the multiverse even more?"

Strange hesitated. "I'm saying their deaths might not be simple. If they were meant to exist in another timeline, then removing them from this one could have unpredictable effects."

Steve's expression hardened. "That doesn't change the fact that they're slaughtering people."

"No, it does not," Strange admitted.

Natasha leaned forward. "So what's the move?"

Tony sighed, swiping the holograms away. "Simple. We find them. We test them. We figure out just how dangerous they are before we go all-in on the 'punch them until they stop breathing' strategy."

"And if they find us first?" Clint asked.

"Then we're in for a long night," Natasha muttered.

Meanwhile: The Seven Regroup

A rooftop, downtown Manhattan.

The Seven stood in perfect formation, watching the city unfold beneath them. The chaos they had unleashed was still burning in the streets below.

Homelander hovered slightly above the others, arms crossed.

"Well," he mused, his tone almost amused. "That was fun."

Queen Maeve exhaled, rubbing her temples. "We need to figure out where the hell we are."

"Does it matter?" Homelander smirked. "It's just another world. Another playground."

A-Train scoffed. "Yeah, but these guys are different. You saw the news. They have actual heroes. Not like our PR-stunt bulls***."

The Deep, scratching his head, frowned. "You think they'll come after us?"

"Oh, they'll try," Black Noir signed silently.

Homelander chuckled. "Let them."

Then he turned, looking at the Avengers Tower in the distance.

"You wanna play hero?" His smirk widened. "Then let's see what you've got."

The Seven vanished into the city.

And the hunt began.
