Marvel X The Boys

Chapter 25: Wrong Place, Wrong Universe

The city still felt wrong.

Even as the group tried to catch their breath after escaping the demon train, there was an undeniable shift in the air. The ground didn't feel solid anymore. The two suns in the sky burned too brightly. Reality itself seemed to ripple at the edges.

And then—they saw the TV.

A Broadcast of Madness

Deadpool was the first to notice it. "Ohhh boy. Ohhhhhh boy. We've officially hit crossover event levels of insanity!"

Alex and Hughie turned, eyes widening at the shattered electronics store window.

Every single TV screen inside was broadcasting the same emergency news report.

The footage? Homelander.

Floating in the air, blood dripping from his gloves. Smiling.

And behind him? The Seven.

A-Train stood smugly over a pile of mangled bodies. The Deep, looking wild-eyed, seemed to be talking to a corpse. Black Noir stood eerily still, almost like a shadow.

And Queen Maeve? She just watched it all, her expression unreadable.

The camera trembled as a reporter tried to speak. "W-We don't know who these people are, but—oh god!"

The footage jolted as a heat vision blast cut through a news van, igniting it instantly. The screams from the background blended into the static as the camera feed cut out.

Silence.

Then:

"...Son of a bitch," Butcher muttered.

Mother's Milk crossed his arms. "Well. That's about the worst f***ing thing I've ever seen."

Hughie looked shell-shocked. "They—They're here? They're in this world?!"

Frenchie let out a slow whistle. "Mon dieu... we really can't escape these bastards, huh?"

Alex, still processing, turned to them. "So, uh… who exactly are these guys?"

Butcher's face darkened. "The biggest collection o' murderous, corporate-controlled, sociopathic c***s you've ever met."

Deadpool gasped dramatically. "YES! FINALLY, someone said it!" He spun toward the imaginary audience and threw his arms wide. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Boys' Worst Nightmare! Starring Butcher and Friends, featuring yours truly as the unkillable comic relief!"

Alex rubbed his temples. "Why do you always do that?"

"Because it's funny."

Mother's Milk ran a hand over his face. "Look. We need to assume the worst here. If they're in this world, and they've got no leash? They're gonna tear through this place like a goddamn buzzsaw."

Butcher's grip on his crowbar tightened. "Aye. And we're gonna stop 'em."

Hughie turned to him, eyes wide. "Stop them?! Butcher, that's Homelander! That's the whole damn Seven! How the hell do we fight that?!"

"We don't," Butcher said simply. "We find out who can."

Deadpool clapped his hands together. "Okay, okay, let's break this down for the viewers at home!" He pointed at Butcher.

"Grumpy Brit here? Wants to kill Homelander."

He gestured toward Hughie.

"Anxious puppy dog over here? Knows that's suicide."

He gave Frenchie a thumbs-up.

"French dude? Probably high, let's be honest."

He spun toward Alex.

"And you, kid? You're the protagonist. You don't even know how much plot armor you have yet."

Alex groaned. "Oh god, please stop."

"NEVER!"

Butcher turned to Mother's Milk. "Avengers Tower. They'll be watchin' this s***. If anyone can put those bastards in the dirt, it's them."

Frenchie raised an eyebrow. "We sure they're the good guys?"

"Don't care," Butcher grunted. "Long as they can punch hard enough."

Alex hesitated. He'd grown up idolizing the Avengers. Now he was possibly dragging them into a battle with actual demons in capes.

Hughie shook his head. "And what if The Seven get there first?"

Mother's Milk exhaled. "Then we're all f***ed."

Deadpool gasped. "OH! Or, plot twist—maybe we all become best friends and team up against an even bigger threat!"

Everyone stared at him.

Deadpool grinned. "Kidding. Homelander would absolutely kill you all on sight."

Butcher started walking. "Enough talk. We move. Now."

Alex, Hughie, and Frenchie followed, but Deadpool leaned toward the audience one last time.

"Alright, folks, let's take bets! Who's meeting who first? Will it be The Seven vs. The Avengers? Or will we get a deliciously awkward Boys + Deadpool + Alex meet-up with Cap and Friends? Find out next time on: OH SHT, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!*"

As the group disappeared into the smoke-filled streets, the camera panned upward—

To the twin suns burning in the sky.

And somewhere, far above, Homelander was already watching.
