Chapter 55: : The Rise of Echo Krono

📘 Chapter 55

⚡ Scene 1: The Awakening

Zeron stood in silence.

The Krono Flame pulsed within his chest, syncing with the broken rhythm of a thousand timelines. His breath came slow, heavy. Around him, the rebel base felt… distorted.

Ivy ran immediate scans.

"That's not standard Krono," she whispered. "It's… recursive."

Zeron opened his eyes—no longer grey, but shifting shades of violet and smoky silver.

A moment ago, his sleeve was torn.

Then it was whole again.

A second later, the lights in the bunker flickered—repeating the same blink twice.

"Time is reacting to you," Ivy muttered.

He wasn't just using Krono anymore.

He was syncing with memory-based fragments of possibility.

🌀 Scene 2: Echo Krono — What It Is

Echo Krono wasn't just energy.

It was the will to remember things that never happened—and make them real.

With it, Zeron could pull from alternate timelines. Rewind small local loops. Even conjure temporary constructs based on unfulfilled events.

But it came with a cost:

Mental strain. Memory confusion.

If he lost control, he might forget who he was.

Permanently.

"Your mind is the circuit board," Ivy warned. "Overload it, and your self collapses."

Zeron nodded.

"I'll take the risk."

💀 Scene 3: The Writer Marks His Enemy

Far above Earth, in the floating citadel of Inkspire, the Writer stood at his parchment console.

Inky ravens fluttered across timelines. One returned, whispering in alien tongues.

The Writer paused.

Then, for the first time, he wrote a name into his book.

A single line in violet ink:

"Zeron Vael — Unwritten Threat Classification: Ascending."

With a flick of his wrist, a new Pagebound was born.

Tall.

Clad in armor made of torn childhood memories.

Named: Oblivir.

"Go," the Writer commanded. "Delete his origin."

🛡️ Scene 4: Test of Power — The Loop Room

Ivy designed a test arena—a simulation chamber enhanced by artificial Krono cores.

Zeron stepped in. The door sealed.

A clock blinked:

Start: 00:00

A Pagebound dummy appeared and attacked.

Zeron dodged. Hit it. It shattered.

But then—

Reset: 00:00

It happened again.

Then again.

And again.

Each loop taught him something new.

By the 10th cycle, Zeron began rewriting the loop itself, creating variations.

In one, he dodged before the attack even started. In another, he rewrote the dummy into a sparring version of Zake.

Finally, the system halted.

[WARNING: USER OVERRIDING LOCAL CAUSALITY]

Zeron grinned.

He passed the test.

🧬 Scene 5: The Last Inkless

Ivy gathered Zui and Zeron in the command center.

She displayed a hologram of a woman—mid-30s, with piercing jade eyes and braided hair.

"This is Commander Rhyne Seralis. Last known survivor of the Inkless."

She once led an uprising inside the Writer's domain itself—a suicide mission that partially succeeded.

Now, she was in Sector Null, a territory lost years ago.

If they could find her, they might gain the knowledge to weaponize memory echoes.

"But if she's alive," Ivy added, "She's not the same."

Zui tightened her fists.

"We find her. Or we fall."

⚔️ Scene 6: The Self That Never Was

That night, Zui entered the Sync Dream.

But this time, she found herself face-to-face not with her alternate self—but with a version of her that never existed.

This Zui had Krono.

Powerful.

Dark red and cruel.

"I am what you would've been if you had chosen vengeance when Zake died," she hissed.

They clashed—mecha suits swirling, dream weapons colliding midair.

The fake Zui cut deep into her mind with illusions.

"He died because you were weak."

Zui screamed.

Then held her ground.

"I'm stronger because I still believe in peace."

She won.

But when she woke up—her left hand was burned.

And the scar remained.
