Metaverse of Mechas

Chapter 56: : Sector Null and the Deathless Maze

📘 Chapter 56

🧭 Scene 1: Journey Into Sector Null

A black desert stretched endlessly before them.

No sky.

No wind.

Just silence.

Zeron, Zui, and Ivy stood before the monolithic gate labeled Sector Null—a quarantined zone where time, memory, and reality fractured under the Writer's early experiments.

Ivy: "Nothing inside here is stable. Echoes of failed timelines roam like ghosts."

They entered with their mechas activated, weapons prepped, and a backup AI named Tether to stabilize their minds.

The moment they stepped through...

They split.

🌀 Scene 2: Split Paths of the Mind

Sector Null didn't just fracture matter—it split intent.

Zeron found himself in a burnt version of his home, with Zake alive, laughing, playing.

But no matter how fast Zeron moved, he couldn't speak. Couldn't interact.

"Am I… watching what could've been?"

"No."

A voice echoed.

"You're watching what was stolen."

Meanwhile, Zui woke up in a mirror maze, each reflection showing her as someone else:

A warrior.A traitor.A mother.A weapon.

She screamed and shattered the glass—only to find herself bleeding.

"Reflections are real here," a voice said.

It was her alternate self from the Sync Dream.

"Welcome to your doubt."

Ivy wandered through a frozen battlefield, her past teams—dead—staring at her, whispering.

"You left us."

"You always calculated survival... not loyalty."

She closed her eyes, clutched her gun, and whispered:

"I carry your names. I don't run anymore."

🧠 Scene 3: The Maze Guardian

At the center of the maze, the three paths intersected.

Standing there was a sentient amalgam—a Krono-formed being made of their combined guilt and fears.

It called itself: The Unborn Memory.

"To pass," it said, "each must face their deepest contradiction."

Zeron stepped forward.

"I never wanted power… but I crave it now."

Zui followed.

"I chose kindness… but I've wished harm."

Ivy raised her weapon.

"I teach logic… but feel emotion."

The being collapsed, its form unraveling into three core keys.

The door opened.

⚔️ Scene 4: Commander Rhyne Seralis

They found her—inside a temple of unformed text.

Commander Rhyne Seralis.

Alive. Breathing. But…

…her mind was wiped.

She spoke in half-sentences, unfinished thoughts.

"The Writer… said I could forget… and not hurt anymore…"

She had become a vessel of peace—calm, untouched by trauma, but devoid of will.

Zeron tried reaching her.

"Your rebellion meant something. You saved people."

She smiled vaguely.

"I don't remember. But I'm glad someone does."

Then, the sky cracked.

💀 Scene 5: Oblivir Attacks

The temperature dropped.

The maze began to bleed ink.

Oblivir arrived.

Towering, faceless, and carrying a giant quill-sword shaped like a gravestone.

"By order of the Writer… origin nullification begins."

Oblivir lunged straight for Zeron.

Zui countered mid-air with a blade of compressed regret.

Ivy activated the maze core's defense grid.

But Oblivir was immune—he rewrote local rules as he moved.

"Time here is mine."

Zeron activated Echo Krono.

Reality bent.

He summoned multiple versions of himself from timelines that failed.

They fought together.

🌀 Scene 6: Rewrite Clash

Zeron and Oblivir clashed in a storm of broken logic.

One strike erased Zeron's left arm in one timeline.

But Echo Krono rewrote it back before pain registered.

Zeron: "I don't care what the Writer wants."

Oblivir: "He created your limits. You are nothing but a draft."

Zeron's eyes turned blinding violet.

He struck once—an echo of a moment that hadn't happened yet.

Oblivir screamed as his core cracked.

"Impossible—!"

"I was written to fail," Zeron said, "so I became the one rewriting."

Oblivir shattered into ink.

💫 Scene 7: A Glimmer of Memory

Commander Rhyne looked at the remains.

Then at Zeron.

Something flickered in her eyes.

A spark.

"Zeron…?"

She remembered.

Just one thing:

"Tell your mother… she was right."

The moment broke.

The sector began collapsing.

They escaped—barely.

But Rhyne whispered one final location:

"Go to Kairovault. There… truth awaits."
