Miracle Summoner

Chapter 1877: -1836- [ Queen of Sheba ]

"Queen of Sheba...?"

As Roman exclaimed in shock, everyone present was equally stunned.

Among them were Mash, Olga Marie, and Da Vinci.

Hearing Rozen's words, the three were momentarily at a loss for words.

However, Roman's reaction was far more intense.

"What are you saying?" Roman stared at Rozen with disbelief, his voice trembling for some unknown reason. "Why summon the Queen of Sheba?"

That was the question on everyone else's mind as well.

After experiencing the Fifth Singularity and witnessing Rozen's miracle of Heroic Spirit Summoning, the people of Chaldea were already aware of Rozen's unique ability to summon Servants.

Altera had been summoned through this method.

However, for reasons Rozen was still unwilling to reveal, Altera was currently unable to participate in combat.

Thus, considering the upcoming journey, it was not too surprising that Rozen wanted to summon another Servant.

Given Rozen's mana and the fact that Chaldea now possessed five Holy Grails as mana sources, even if Rozen himself didn't perform the summoning, he could use Chaldea's summoning system to summon a Servant.

The current Heroic Spirit summoning system was far more refined than before. While it still couldn't guarantee a 100% success rate, it was no longer as limited as in the past, when there had only been three successful summoning cases.

Therefore, if Rozen wanted to use the system to summon a new Servant to enhance their combat strength, it was understandable.

But...

"Why the Queen of Sheba?"

Olga Marie asked instinctively.

"Yeah, Senpai."

Mash also looked somewhat puzzled.

"...Ah."

Da Vinci, however, thought for a moment before seeming to understand and clapped her hands.

Rozen stated plainly, "Isn't it obvious? It's to deal with Solomon!"

With just one sentence, everyone immediately understood.

— The Queen of Sheba.

She is a figure shrouded in mystery, featured in the Old Testament (Book of Kings), the New Testament, and other works. She was the queen of the Kingdom of Sheba, located south of Jerusalem.

To this day, no concrete evidence has been found to prove the existence of the queen or her kingdom, making her a figure as elusive as a mirage. Yet, legends about her abound.

According to these tales, she was a being with a non-human form.

In Arabian legends, she was said to have densely furred legs and the hooves of a donkey.

In the legends of southern France, she was described as having webbed feet like a goose.

Some stories even claim she was the daughter of a spirit and a human, possessing a body that could refract light like a prism, changing her appearance at will.

In terms of fame, she ranks among the most well-known queens, possibly in the top three.

Of course, that wasn't the key point.

The key point lay in the magnificent founding legend of Ethiopia in East Africa.

According to this tale, the queen visited Jerusalem with a wealth of tribute to seek wisdom from a renowned sage. She posed three riddles to him, all of which he solved effortlessly. Impressed by the prosperity of Jerusalem, she exchanged gifts with the sage and became his wife.

That sage, known as the Mage King, was none other than Solomon.

Yes, the Queen of Sheba was Solomon's wife.

"If we can summon her, she might know how to deal with Solomon, or at the very least, she could help us locate him. It's all benefits and no drawbacks."

Rozen's reasoning was simple.

"This... is not entirely unreasonable," Olga Marie nodded thoughtfully.

"If it's the Queen of Sheba, she might indeed know how to counter the Mage King."

Mash's expression turned serious as she agreed.

"Uh..."

Da Vinci, on the other hand, looked rather conflicted and glanced sideways.

There, Roman stood stiffly, his face drenched in cold sweat for some reason.

When Roman finally snapped out of it, he immediately spoke up.

"No! You can't summon the Queen of Sheba!"

Roman's voice rang out loud and clear.

His reaction was so excessive that everyone turned to stare at him.

"Why?"

"Why, Doctor?"

Olga Marie and Mash both asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, big bro, why not?"

Rozen was equally surprised by Roman's abrupt reaction, looking at him with astonishment.

"Ahem..." Roman realized his reaction had been too extreme. After coughing awkwardly, he feigned composure and said, "W-Well... setting aside whether the Queen of Sheba can help against the Mage King, you don't even have a catalyst. How do you plan to summon her?"

That was indeed a valid question.

Normally, without a catalyst, the outcome of a Heroic Spirit summoning was too uncertain. There was no guarantee of summoning a specific Servant, let alone one as elusive as the Queen of Sheba, whose existence itself was debatable.

Unless the summoner shared some connection with the Heroic Spirit, such as through bloodline, ancestry, or similar traits, summoning them would be nearly impossible.

Even so, this would not be considered summoning without a catalyst, as the summoner themselves would serve as the catalyst.

Without a catalyst, the summoner would only summon a Servant most compatible with them, making it impossible to specifically summon a particular Heroic Spirit.

And given that the Queen of Sheba's existence was unconfirmed and that she was said to be non-human, Rozen had no apparent connection to her. How could he summon her?

However...

"Have you all forgotten that Chaldea's Near-Future Observation Lens is named Sheba?" Rozen pointed out. "While its name was likely inspired by the Queen of Sheba's legendary wisdom and exceptional observational and precognitive abilities, which align with the system's capabilities, the anomalies in human history and their direct connection to Solomon allow Sheba to establish countless links to him. So, using Sheba as a catalyst might just work to summon the Queen of Sheba."

This was Rozen's reasoning.

"If the summoning succeeds, we'll gain an invaluable ally who understands the mastermind better than anyone else. Isn't that worth trying?"

Hearing this, everyone exchanged glances before nodding in agreement.

Except Roman.

Not only did he refrain from agreeing, but he also began sweating even more profusely.

If one looked closely, Roman's eyes were filled with fear and dread, as if he were absolutely terrified.

It was a pitiful sight.
