Chapter 306: A S-grade Confrontation.
There were five people on the path leading to the floor of the superior accommodations. These people weren't waiting for him. Three of them stood to watch two others who were confronting each other.
The two people confronting each other were the lady with three eyes and a guy with blue hair and blue eyes. The two of them were arguing with each other.
He recognized the three-eyed lady to be the humanoid beast and the blue-haired guy to be the only S-grade disciple with lightning affinity.
Of the three people watching them argue, he recognized only one of them. It was a lady with red hair.
She was the one who looked like his mother. But that was before. Now her pupils had become narrow vertical slots, and she had a forked tongue.
The changes she had undergone had made her more beautiful. But she had also become more unnerving.
There was something weird about her posture and the way she looked at everyone around her. She was looking at them as if she was deciding who to attack. Even her posture looked as if she was getting ready to pounce.
He didn't know the other two bystanders. They were both men, but they had different features.
He had never seen them in the information package of S-grade students. So either they weren't S-grade students or they were new S-grade students.
He was inclined to believe that it was the former. He felt that they should be talented A-grade students who managed to set a record and gain access to the superior accommodations.
He didn't know these two, and he also wanted to ask the red-haired lady some questions, so he approached.
She noticed him long before he reached her. Her eyes darted to him and examined him from head to toe. She also glanced at Raor beside him. Then she looked away from him.
She acted as if she didn't notice him. He took that as permission to get close to her.
When he reached her, he asked her, "What's going on?"
Her tongue slithered out of her mouth as she replied, "He came firstssss. She told him to step back and let her passss. He refused to budgessss. So they fightsss."
He nodded in understanding and looked at the two people confronting each other.
The blue-haired man was ahead on the path. There was nothing blocking his way, and he wasn't blocking the way for the others to pass either because the path was large.
The path was large enough to accommodate four people walking on it at the same time. But the three-eyed lady had demanded that he stop and make way for her to pass.
From what Arthur could sense from them, the man had condensed lightning within him. He was positively charged, which was why he got angry when she made her unreasonable request and refused to step back.
The three-eyed lady, on the other hand, seemed gentle. The aura around her was calm and cool. What he sensed about her was the opposite of her unreasonable request and her current behavior.
She was shouting in his face, "Do you know who I am? I am the princess of the Soul-Stealing Divine Clan. You're just a peasant human. It is your great luck that I asked you to stand by for me. You're ignorant and stupid, so you didn't know this."
The guy folded his big, muscular hands across his broad chest as he looked down at her. His posture made Arthur realize that he wasn't wearing any shirt. His white robe with the golden skull on it was draped around his shoulder like a coat.
He didn't say anything much. He was mostly silent while she did all the talking.
He was taller than her, so he had the right to look down at her. But she didn't like that at all. She became angrier the longer the argument continued.
She shouted at him, "Get out of the way."
Eventually the man grinned at her and said, "Make me."
Her voice became shrill as she pointed at the foot of the mountain where the fighting ring was and said, "If you're so sure, follow me down there so I can teach you the lesson you so desperately need."
The man rushed down the mountain as soon as she finished. His behavior confused everyone around them.
She was about to ask what he was doing. But then he called back to her, "It looks like I'm going to beat you there again. It is just like I was ahead of you earlier. You are destined to always eat my diet."
Her eyes widened in unbridled anger. Then she rushed after him.
The two suspected A-grade students followed them to see the outcome of the fight. But Arthur didn't care enough about their fight to go down the mountain to see how it ends.
He also wanted to ask the red-haired lady how she was related to his mother, so he stayed behind.
He asked her, "You're Jade, right? Do you know a lady that looks like you and is named Vena? She lives in Agate City of the Turin Kingdom."
The red-haired lady turned to him and asked, "If I did know this lady, why should I answer you? Do I owe you anything?"
Arthur was stunned by the question. It was because Jade's demeanor and mannerisms were too similar to his mother's.
She saw his reaction and smiled. Then she twirled her hair with her finger as she asked with a smile, "Do you like what you see?"
The way she looked at him and the way her lips tugged playfully were all very similar to how his mother behaves. It was because he recognized these facial features that he knew her intentions.
Jade was being wild and unrestrained. Lady Vena always behaved like this around Augustus. Arthur had seen this many times so he knew instantly that Jade wanted to have sex with him.
