Chapter 307: Seen A Ghost.
Arthur might have been interested in having sex with her if she didn't look like his mother. After all, she was very beautiful.
But because she looked too much like Vena, all he could do was shiver in disgust at the thought of having sex with her. It was a primal wave of disgust that he couldn't suppress at all.
Jade saw that his whole body shuddered. She thought it was because he was smitten with her.
So she let her eyes roam all over his body and said provocatively, "I believe that we can come to certain arrangements. If you give me what I want, I will give you what you want."
Arthur didn't say anything. He turned around and lifted Roar with his two arms. Both Roar and Jade were startled by his actions. But Jade became more confused when she saw Arthur run away from her as if he had seen a ghost.
She ran after him and shouted, "Wait. Why are you running? I won't eat you."
That was a lie. She was definitely planning to eat him.
The influence of her cultivation and the blood essence that she used to transcend the first mortal coil demand that she has sex with him and taste his flesh. After all, she is a snake and he is mossel of flesh brimming with life force and vitality.
Arthur didn't know that she was lying, but that didn't stop him from running as fast as he could. He was so fast that she couldn't catch up to him.
Roar had stopped being startled and was instead enjoying the feeling of the breeze on his face. He stuck out his tongue in the wind as he enjoyed himself.
Jade had to give up chasing him because there was no chance of catching up to him at all. He was just too fast for her.
She became solemn as she watched him go. Then she thought to herself, "He should be about six times faster than me. Isn't he supposed to be only at the second transformation? What cultivation technique makes him so fast? Is his innate divine strength so powerful?"
She clenched her fist in anger and promised herself, "I have to grow stronger as fast as possible. I mustn't let such fine meat get away from me."
She became even more determined to become stronger. It showed in her steps as she went up the path and went to her new superior accommodations.
Meanwhile, the fight at the foot of the mountain had begun.
The blue-haired guy aroused his life seed in preparation to attack her. But before he could take any action, her third eye glowed a white light.
He was looking at her face when it happened. Even if he hadn't been looking at her face, he would have done so when her eye began to glow.
His attention was attracted by the glowing eye, so he looked at it. His gaze focused on the white glow, and he became dazed. His consciousness had been stalled.
His mind slowed down to a crawl. So he stood there watching her like a fool while she rushed towards him with her fist primed for a punch.
He would have remained dazed if she hadn't gotten close to him with evil intentions. He sensed the danger and reacted to it instinctively.
Lightning burst out from his life seed and coursed through the connecting filaments all over his body. This reactivated his nerves and awakened his mind.
His mind was awakened, so he was able to respond to her punch. He slapped her fist aside with his left hand while he balled his right hand into a fist and smashed it towards her torso.
The two of them began smashing into each other with reckless abandon. Of course, they weren't injured because they could harden their flesh. Blunt trauma is the last thing that they are afraid of as cultivators of the second mortal coil.
As the two of them punched each other, it sounded as if two rocks were smashing against each other. They were equally matched in terms of strength, so they weren't injured by their fists. But they were still injured by each other's life force.
Whenever they punched each other, they always pushed their life force into the other's body. This was an energy expensive tactic that can have various negative effects on the target.
Someone else's life force is like poison in the body. Only the effect of this poison will be different.
In the case of Princess, she injected her life force into her opponent in order to ruin him. This was an expensive use of life force, as it required overcoming the resistance of her opponent's life force first.
Unfortunately, this move didn't work on him because his life force was enhanced by lightning. Her life force was destroyed as soon as it entered his body. The best she could do was get him to expend more life force and run out of energy earlier.
He, on the other hand, could cause destruction to her with his life force. Every time he struck her, he always scorched her skin in addition to forcing her to expend more life energy to defend his blows and invasion of life force.
The damage done by one punch was minimal. But the damage done to her body was becoming significant over the course of the fight.
He was also faster than her even though they were at the same cultivation level. This is also because of the enhancement of lighting.
So he has both the speed and offensive advantage. He was able to dodge more of her hits, block the ones he couldn't dodge better, and hit her faster than she could hit him.
When she hit him three times, he had hit her six times. The difference in their exchange of damage was even more than that because her hits were not damaging him as much as his were injuring her.
For every three units of damage done to him, he had done nine units. This overall disparity in the exchange of injury caused the tide of the battle to tilt heavily in his favor.
She noticed this situation and was even able to conclude that if nothing is done, she would lose. But there was nothing she could do to change the situation apart from bringing out powerful artifacts to fight.
