Chapter 312: Test Fight.
It was as if he had become one with a weapon. There was no other explanation for it.
The armament is both an armor and a layer of external muscles for him. His body became stronger because of it, and he could also cast spells through it.
He thought to himself in awe, "Isn't this an exoskeleton armor? The technology of this world never ceases to amaze me."
Elder Storm Hawk brought him out of his reverie with a question. She asked him, "How are you feeling?"
He grinned and replied, "I feel great."
She asked another question: "Tell me what you think about the Divine Lightning Armament. Tell me why it is better than those who use the power of a single pathway, and tell me why it is worse than them."
After experiencing it personally, he knows very well why the Divine Lightning Armament is so great. So he had a lot to say.
He first said, "Any armament will be better than weapons or spells because it can combine the power of life force and internal energy. It doesn't matter if it's a divine lightning armament or an all-element armament. Either one will double the power of the cultivator."
"That's the advantage. The disadvantage is that armaments require about three times as much energy to use. They require life energy, internal energy, and even mental energy."
He moved his body around and said, "The control requirements are also high. The burden on the body and mind is at least double the burden of weapons and spells."
She nodded and stood up. As she stood up, she said, "Now that you've acclimated yourself to it, let's fight."
She circled the ball of lightning within her in anticipation of a fight. This caused a loud rumbling sound to come from her body. The air exploded around her and formed a shockwave that shook him and sobered him up.
He didn't think it was her stomach that was rumbling. The thought of what was making the rumbling sound within her made him stop being intoxicated with his newly acquired strength.
He is no longer scared of the lightning within her as he instinctively was. It is because he can control lightning now too. But her strength is still fearsome. It is something he can't take lightly.
He wants to fight too. Maybe it is because he wants to try the limit of his great power or because of the subtle influence of lightning, but he wanted to fight her.
But he was still sane enough to know that she could kill him easily. So instead of readily agreeing to a fight, he stepped back while shaking his head in refusal.
She chuckled and said, "I am not going to use my armament or energy to fight you. I'm just going to use the power of my body."
After saying so, she calmed down the balls of lightning within them and shackled them tightly. This caused her aura to fall significantly.
She became mutated and more human. This gave him the courage to fight her.
She said in encouragement, "You're at the fourth transformation of the second mortal coil. So your normal power is 10 body/spell × 5 life force/internal energy, which is 50. Your divine lightning armament will double that power, so you should have a power of 100."
"The power of 100 is very far from the peak power of the body of a foundation establishment cultivator. I am at the peak of body refining, so you won't be able to match me. But I will shackle my foundation and limit my body to 200 units, so that you can harm me."
Arthur couldn't believe it. He said, "Just the body of a foundation establishment cultivator is beyond 200 units of power? Even the peak power of those at the second mortal coil is only 110. Why is the difference so wide?"
She cracked the joints in her neck and fingers as she said, "When they build their foundation, the power of those at the third mortal coil truly explodes. Be they human or beast, they start to become forces of nature at the third mortal coil. They shed their weakness and change their very existence to make it more powerful."
"200 is just the power of my body after I have limited my foundation. With the full strength of my body, it is nearly impossible for someone in the second mortal coil to kill me even if I sleep and let them attack me all day."
"Even in my currently weakened state, only disciples of our sect at the peak second mortal coil can harm me. Loose cultivators at the second mortal have no chance of harming me."
"But you're special than even the disciples of our sect. So I am looking forward to finding out if you are one of those special people despite being at the fourth transformation."
Arthur grinned and assured her, "I will surprise you."
She smiled back, "Please make sure you do."
Then she took off.
She opened the door and ran out. He clenched the muscles of his legs and took off after her immediately.
As he moved, his body and mind worked together in tandem with the divine armament. His mind controlled it so the armament moved together with the muscles in his body.
This way, the internal muscles in his body and external muscles in the armament worked together to push him forward. This was just the physical enhancement.
He still had the elemental enhancement to try out. He was looking forward to it.
He soon got used to the extra power and caught up to Elder Storm Hawk. He even had leftover power to overtake her, but he didn't know where they were going, so he held back.
Even so, his current performance still surprised her. She said, "Either you adapted to the power of the armament so soon, or you have more than enough to catch up to me even though you can't control all of it yet."
He replied, "I guess you will find out soon."
She laughed wildly and said, "I guess I will."
The two of them flashed through the lecture hall in a blue blur. With a power of 100, they were moving at speeds of 200 meters per second. The lecture hall was only so large.
If not for their enhanced senses and mental power, they would have smashed into walls and people with this kind of speed. Even so, their speed drew a lot of attention and caused a lot of ruckus.
