Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 325: The Ultimatum.

Arthur sighed and asked, "What is it this time?"

She replied, "Someone is making a lot of fuss about your dojos again. They barged into a class, beat up the teacher, and sent the students away. They also claimed that they were going to do this in all the prefectures under their control."

He frowned as he asked, "First of all, who is this person? Secondly, how strong are they?"

He asked for the identity and power of the troublemaker as those two pieces of information will determine what method he will use to eliminate the trouble.

Lady Vena replied, "The person is a man called Argo. He is an elder of a cultivation family. He is at the third mortal coil."

Arthur raised an eyebrow as he asked, "Why will such a strong person have a problem with my dojo?"

She snorted before replying. "It is the usual. Your dojo is taking money from them."

"Their family runs a chain of dojos. They earn money from it. Your dojo has made them lose that money."

"They have antagonized us many times, but we resolved it with hired help, so they brought out their patriarch to deal with you. I have been trying to reach you for a day now because of it."

He said, "So it is really the usual. I expected something better from someone in the third mortal coil."

She rolled her eyes where she was and said, "There's not much that drives people to conflict. It is usually competition for some benefit. It is either a fight over money or sex. So don't think too highly about people."

"In this case, their cultivation family runs a chain of dojos for teaching sword fighting. That's why their ancestor caught the eye of the Sword Way sect and was appointed to manage a region for them."

"They don't need the dojos anymore, but it concerns their prestige, and there is a lot of money involved. Hence, why a great and powerful patriarch would come out to fight."

After explaining, she asked him, "Now that the specifics have been cleared, what should we do? Should we hire a cultivator at the third mortal coil?"

"First of all, it will be expensive. You should prepare at least 1,000,000 of your gold coins for it. Secondly, where can we hire a cultivator that is willing to offend an entire cultivation family for a million good coins?"

Arthur frowned and thought about a solution for a while.

After contemplating for a few seconds, he said, "Tell this Argo or his family that the dojo is the business of Arthur of the Blood Skull sect. Tell him that if he doesn't stop, he will die and his family will be uprooted from their seat of power."

He said with a cold voice, "Ask him which is better between losing some money or losing his life and destroying his family."

Lady Vena was silent for a while. Then she said, "Wow."

Even then, she hadn't recovered yet. She still needed some time to recover.

After calming down, she said, "People know that everything they do is risky with chances of victory or loss. But very few people think that they will lose or consider the consequences of losing. I hope that this Argo fellow won't be one of them."

Arthur chuckled and said, "No, you don't. If I know you, you want this man to escalate the matter, and you want to see his family destroyed."

She laughed instead of denying his claim. Then she said, "A girl can hope."

He said, "Alright. Just don't let your enthusiasm mess this up. I don't want a fight. At least not yet. Don't provoke the man more than you need to. Just send a message to him and let him decide."

She said, "Yes, yes. I know what to do. I'm not paid to create trouble for you now, was I?"

He sighed in relief and said, "That's good. Anyway, I have to go. I have a lot of work on my hands."

She said, "Me too. I'm working for this philanthropic idiot who is hell-bent on spending all of his money on rubbish. I am being paid to facilitate this nonsense, so I am very busy soo. You should count yourself lucky that I took time out of my very busy schedule to call you."

He didn't want to listen to more of what she had to say, so he cut her off by severing the communication line.

He shook his head after doing it and said, "What a mess."

He was speaking about the situation with Argo and his dojo outside, but the more he looked around him, the more that statement became suitable for his current environment.

Both are messes, and they are easily cleaned too. It won't take him five minutes to clean his surroundings, and it would take him less time to clean up Argo and his family.

He doesn't mean that Argo and his family will be uprooted in five minutes. What he believes is the work he needs to do in order to get rid of Argo won't take up to five minutes.

By work, he means telling someone in the sect who is at the third mortal coil about his situation. That person could be anyone. It could be an elder or a disciple.

In fact, he doesn't need to tell anyone in particular. All he needs to do is have the Apex Alliance spread the news. Once someone at the third mortal hears of it, they will grab onto this excuse to loot and pillage. Then Argo's family will be no more.

He wasn't lying when he told his mother to threaten Argo with his sect's name. Someone in the sect will wipe out their whole cultivation family as long as they have the excuse to do so.

They won't do so to avenge Arthur. They will wipe out a cultivation family simply for the benefits that it will bring them.
