Yi Zheng suddenly understood, just as he was about to say something, a roar sounded: “Roar!”

Then they saw the ground rise, and rabbits stood up from the dirt…

At the same time, from the mountains in all directions, behind big trees and in grass tussocks, groups of “adorable” snow-white rabbits, each over a meter and a half tall, rushed out.

These rabbits were incredibly fast, leaping forward and reaching them in an instant.

“Enemy attack, defense!” Iron-Blood shouted.

The players reacted quickly as well, with the warriors raising their shields in front, but there was a problem. The rabbits were charging from all directions. When the players tried to defend, their originally practiced phalanx formation couldn’t be used, and they had to quickly switch to a circular shield formation under Iron-Blood’s command.

However, there were too many people, and even with rapid repositioning, it still took around ten minutes.

But the rabbits didn’t need ten minutes to charge. In the blink of an eye, a group of large rabbits had reached them.

“Warriors, hold the line!” Iron-Blood shouted.

The warriors did not cower, raising their shields in front of them.

The mages and archers retreated behind, chanting spells and drawing their bows.

However, to everyone’s despair, the rabbits ignored the front-line warriors. They effortlessly leaped two to three meters high over the shield warriors’ heads, landing among the mages and archers, and then began to strike. They caught a frail mage and slapped them with a paw, turning them into white light immediately.

The archers tried to run, but found they couldn’t outrun the rabbits and were promptly kicked to death.

Even more terrifying was that the rabbits seemed endless. In one moment, groups of rabbits were charging, and in the next, they were like a wall, a continuous wave of rabbits crushing forward.

Watching the sea of rabbits bouncing and surging like a tide, Iron-Blood and the players were stunned, murmuring: “How on earth are we supposed to fight this?!”

The warriors at the front were instantly overwhelmed by the tide of rabbits. The mages and archers at the back were surrounded by groups of rabbits and kicked to death in the chaos.

The battle lasted only thirteen minutes from start to finish.

In the midst of the chaos, Iron-Blood demonstrated exceptional prowess, surviving until the end due to his years of rigorous martial arts training.

At that moment, a system notification sounded in the ears of all players and wild monsters.

“Huaxia District reincarnation players have surpassed ten thousand, system upgrade!”

“Ding! Team system activated.”

“Ding! World realism increased by ten percent!”

“Ding! Pain level increased from zero to twenty percent.”

“Ding! Gore level increased from zero to twenty percent.”

“Ding! Upon death, there is a ten-minute wait for resurrection. During this time, the corpse will remain at the site.”

“Ding! Death drop increased from one item to one to three items, and one-tenth of held money.”

“Ding! Insulting a corpse will result in a system penalty, reducing Attribute Points by one-tenth.”

Hearing the system’s rapid notifications, Iron-Blood was momentarily distracted, only to be instantly surrounded by rabbits!

The large rabbits ignored what the system said, sending him into white light with a swift kick.

Just as he was dying, he saw an incredibly shocking scene.

Behind the rabbit horde, near the canyon’s exit, all the rabbits parted, revealing an enormous tiger in his view.

“The boss behind the rabbits is a tiger?!” was Iron-Blood’s first thought.

Then he saw a giant wild boar riding on the tiger, and in that moment he thought the wild boar was the boss.

But then he saw a two-meter-tall rabbit riding on the wild boar, the tallest among the rabbits, and he confirmed that this was the real boss!

Of course, he also saw the little rabbit on Zi Xing’s head, and he gasped: “This boss is so cruel, he skinned his comrade to make a hat!”

Yi Zheng did not know what Iron-Blood was thinking; otherwise, he would have given Iron-Blood’s ancestors a proper greeting.

Yi Zheng hadn’t intended to reveal himself so early, but hearing the system say that corpses would remain for ten minutes, he eagerly came over to see the corpses.

However, the bodies of previously slain players had turned into white light and disappeared, leaving only Iron-Blood’s corpse on the ground.

Yi Zheng approached to observe for a while, stroking his chin, he said: “This is tragic, even his spine is broken…”

Yi Zheng then picked up the longsword on the ground and stuffed it into his mouth.

At that moment, Yi Zheng noticed something unusual about Iron-Blood’s pants. They seemed to be of higher grade, so he tried to pull them off, but he couldn’t, no matter how hard he tried. Clearly, the system did not regard them as drop items, so he couldn’t take them off.

“Can’t mutilate the corpse, can’t mess around, so what’s the point of leaving the corpse here? Just for looks?”

Yi Zheng complained, but then suddenly remembered what the system had said about the game’s realism increasing by ten percent!

Yi Zheng suddenly realized something important…

Analyzing the contents of the latest system update.

The team system update was expected—it was too hard to command without it given so many players in each team.

But the major updates were focused on realism.

For instance, the gore level and pain sensation increased by ten percent, and even the corpse remaining for ten minutes.

If it could increase by ten percent, could it possibly go up to one hundred percent?

If the corpse remains for ten minutes now, could it stay permanently in the future?

If true, this game world would gradually become more real…

And the current changes are just a transition for Earth’s players.

Thinking this, Yi Zheng stroked his chin and muttered: “Working out can enhance Basic Attributes. If the game becomes increasingly realistic, will the game’s constraints lessen? This means an improved gaming experience for players, and perhaps a revolution for wild monsters! Maybe I can find more ways to enhance myself!”

With this thought, Yi Zheng grinned widely and happily jumped onto Zi Xing’s head, pointing to the other end of the Grand Canyon: “No matter how many come, kill them all! Send them all to the newbie village prison collectively!”

“Roar!”

The group of rabbits responded.

Outside players were depressed. Iron-Blood was dead and had respawned at Newbie Village 1, leaving the outside disorganized.

The team voice chat couldn’t reach so far, leaving everyone at a loss.

Several mid-level leaders huddled together for a meeting.

“The warriors’ defenses can’t withstand the Giant Stones’ blows; otherwise, we could use shields to create a safe path,” someone whispered.

“Then let’s charge. We have numbers. I can’t believe they have that many stones to use. We’ll just respawn at the newbie village and regroup to strike back, launching an inside-out attack!”

“Makes sense! The wild monsters using this tactic means they’re also afraid of direct confrontation with us.”

“This is a case of them having Zhang Liang’s strategy, while we have the ladder to cross the wall! Remember to collect gear for our fallen brothers.”
