The conclusion was clear: Zenith was Allen's goddess.

When she heard the commotion outside, she rushed out of the kitchen like a whirlwind to save Allen from his predicament.

"I guarantee on Allen's behalf that he will never scare Somarl again. I'm truly sorry," Zenith said firmly.

Paul, on the other hand, kept bowing his head and apologizing profusely to Mrs. Somarl. Meanwhile, Zenith stood silently beside him, her face cold and expressionless. Despite her usually gentle and kind demeanor, she rarely showed any warmth toward the woman who constantly had her eyes on her husband.

Mrs. Somarl, her face slightly flushed, stared at the ground. Then, under Allen's stunned gaze, she put on an air of reluctant acceptance, speaking softly to Paul.

'Wait, what? Auntie, ma'am, what's with this act? Are you seriously playing the pure love card right now??'

After watching Mrs. Somarl leave with lingering glances, Paul finally turned to Allen, his hands on his hips and a stern expression on his face.

"Allen, what's going on?"

He spoke with the tone of an adult lecturing a child.

After all, in Paul's eyes, Allen was the son of his close friend and cousin. No matter how much fun they had during their sword training, Paul naturally assumed a parental role when he thought Allen might have done something wrong.

Just as Allen was about to explain, Zenith let out a cold snort, stomped her foot, and turned to head back to the kitchen.

Paul, bewildered, looked at Zenith, who had been so cheerful just the night before, and had no idea what had happened.

Allen facepalmed and quickly leaned in to whisper in Paul's ear.

"Uncle... uh, sir, you might be a bit slow on the uptake, but it seems Mrs. Somarl has a thing for you."

Paul blinked, then his eyes lit up as he turned to Allen.

"Really?"

Allen: "..."

Rudy: "..."

Rudy, watching Paul's reaction, covered his face.

The stern demeanor from earlier vanished in an instant, huh? Sir Paul, you're as transparent as ever...

Allen pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Yesterday, I saw Somarl bullying Rorze's child by the rice field, throwing mud at her. So, I scolded them a bit, but I swear I didn't lay a hand on anyone..."

Paul frowned, his eyebrows shooting up.

"There's something like that? Mrs. Somarl always tells me how well-behaved her child is... She's always coming to talk to me about her kid... Wait, does that mean..."

"...Yes, exactly. She's been using her child as an excuse to talk to you. Madam probably figured out Mrs. Somarl's intentions a while ago, which is why she's upset."

Paul gulped, then glanced nervously at Lilia, who had been standing quietly nearby, before rushing off to the kitchen.

"Zenith! Let me explain... I really didn't know..."

Rudy, meanwhile, looked at Allen, who was thoughtfully eyeing Lilia, and whispered in his ear.

"Mrs. Somarl hasn't gone far... You should go after her. I'll just say you went to find Sylphie... Ow!"

Allen flicked Rudy's forehead and said irritably,

"Go to the kitchen and use your cuteness to save your father. Don't you want breakfast? I can smell something burning."

Rudy blinked, then quickly dashed off to the kitchen.

Allen turned to Lilia, who quickly glanced at him and adjusted her glasses.

"I'll go help too..."

Allen watched as Lilia practically fled to the kitchen, his hand on his chin as he pondered.

So, the affair's foreshadowing is already here, huh? In the original story, Lilia only got together with Paul after Zenith became pregnant, when Paul had too much pent-up energy. But now, at this point in time, it seems like they're already... No, last night didn't seem like that. It's more like Paul occasionally harasses Lilia, and she doesn't resist...

When will this family drama unfold? If I intervene now, will Aisha never be born? Or maybe not, since Paul was the one who actively sneaked into her room. At this point, warning her might not make a difference.

Allen chuckled.

Life in this household is getting more and more interesting... Aisha, Norn, how much longer until you're born?

Breakfast was delayed by an hour.

The reason? Paul spent that entire time in the kitchen trying to appease his wife.

Fortunately, a scoundrel's silver tongue is always effective, and it didn't take long for Zenith to forgive him.

By the time they finally sat down to eat, Paul was in high spirits. He even cheerfully suggested that Allen and Rudy could invite Sylphie over for a visit.

Perhaps considering that the two boys had made a new friend, Paul generously canceled their sword training for the day, allowing them to go out and play.

As they were leaving, Paul kept holding Zenith's hand, while she, under Lilia's watchful gaze, subtly tried to shake him off several times without success...

Maybe having the kids out of the house would help improve the couple's relationship.

"By the way, we didn't say goodbye to Sylphie yesterday, and we didn't even ask where she lives. How are we supposed to find her?"

Allen, who had been looking back at Paul and Zenith, shrugged.

"That hill from yesterday. I think Sylphie might be there."

"Really?"

"Just a guess. We've got nothing else to do, so let's check it out."

Allen didn't have time to entertain Rudy's questions because he was busy arguing with the system.

[Immediate Quest: The Temptation of the Older Woman – Failed. Evaluation: Too bad, even 2 points count.]

'Too bad my foot! Do you even know what "older woman" means? I'm taller than her! Even if she's older, it doesn't count as "older woman"!'

[Oh, so it's because she's not tall enough. My apologies, I'll get it right next time.]

'Ugh.'

Sure enough, when the two arrived at the hill, a small figure was standing under the tree. She wasn't playing but kept looking around. When she spotted the two figures approaching from a distance, she jumped up and down a few times before awkwardly trying to regain her composure and running toward them.

Seeing this, Allen couldn't help but smile, his steps lightening as he called out from afar.

"Good morning! Were you waiting here for us?"

Sylphie nearly tripped, visibly flustered.

"N-no! I wasn't... I..."

"See! I told you Sylphie wouldn't wait for us! Allen, you were so sure she'd be here, but it's just a coincidence!"

Rudy, seeing this, couldn't help but retort.

"Alright, alright, you're right."

Sylphie, now standing in front of them, suddenly grabbed Rudy's head and started shoving him behind her, despite his flailing protests.

The two of them were so small that Sylphie's back couldn't possibly hide Rudy.

"No! Allen! It's not like that! I... um..."

Allen, watching Rudy struggle for air, chuckled and gently patted Sylphie's head.

"Sorry about yesterday. I was careless and got you both poisoned. Are you feeling okay now?"

Sylphie's ears twitched, and her reddish-brown eyes sparkled beautifully in the sunlight as she slowly let go of Rudy's head.

"I'm fine..."

"Ha!"

Rudy, finally free, gasped for air like he'd just surfaced from underwater and glared at Sylphie and Allen.

"Hey! I'm the one who's not feeling well!"

Allen rubbed his chin as he observed the two.

Sylphie has the Laplace factor too. Since this is earlier in the story than the original, if we start her on mana enhancement training now, she'll have a better chance of surviving the Great Teleportation and landing safely.

"Rudy, how about... you teach her magic?"
