I made an official decision on the servants

"Now, let's begin."

"Yes."

"Wuff."

The following day, I felt a little tired from lack of sleep, but I went out into the garden where Sebastian had gathered everyone together.

Even Leo was sitting next to me with Liza.

On the other side, the servant candidates were facing us in a neat line.

Out of all of the candidates, he had the most experience, and his abilities in all areas were relatively high.

Sebastian and the other butlers had told me this.

"Thank you. Of course, it will be a much smaller household than this place, so you can relax."

"Yes!"

"Next is… Mr. Winfield. You will be working under Mr. Alfred."

"Certainly. I will do my best to serve you."

"Thank you. You will have opportunities to meet other people in the village, and observe me as well. And I will not object to the way that you think."

"Thank you!"

The whole issue of nobility had troubled me… But I decided to hire him in the end.

Claire would be living in Range village as well, so it would mean a stronger connection with Mr. Ekenhart.

Aside from that, being closer to me would probably help to prevent any ill feelings. He would be able to see that I had no interest in becoming a noble.

Especially Cheryl and Chita, who were a similar age.

"I am sorry that you are not the head maid. But please work with Mr. Alfred to support the household."

"Certainly. In truth, we have been thinking about children recently. And so I'm more than happy that the duties of head maid are being given to someone who is younger."

Alfred looked quite embarrassed. Walter jabbed him with his elbow.
