My Perfect Female CEO

Chapter 456: Farhadi's Era Has Arrived

Long before Farhadi launched the attack, in fact, Kasam had already received the news. However, it was too late, with no time to react or devise a counter-strategy. In utter desperation, he left the capital city via a secret security passage, escorted by bodyguards, to temporarily avoid the disaster. As long as he remained, there was a good chance to crush Farhadi's conspiracy.

Farhadi had planted an insider in Kasam's camp, and Kasam did the same with Farhadi's camp.

However, by the time Kasam learned of this, Farhadi was already about to launch the attack, leaving them far behind in terms of timing.

In a situation where he had no choice, Kasam immediately left the capital, taking with him only a few loyal department leaders.

Indeed, Kasam was too important to Ba Country. As long as he wasn't captured, there was a chance of making a comeback.

Once captured, nothing could be done; this was an indisputable fact.

At this moment, Kasam, surrounded by more than ten people, watched from afar as the flames of war spread throughout the capital.

"Farhadi is ambitious, and I'm not surprised by his moves. Just didn't expect that several high-ranking and powerful individuals would defect to Farhadi's camp. When we left, we had already lost all communication devices, and in such a situation, we could only be passively beaten. Effective mobilization is out of the question," a general barked coldly.

"Now, whatever we say is too late, better to plan the next steps," suggested a civil leader. "We have two options now: first, to rendezvous with the Chu Group for assistance; second, to hide in the military base and plan slowly while contacting the Chu Group, hoping to gain their strong support, which is very necessary."

"Brand has colluded with Farhadi. There must be a deal between them. Once accomplished, the first to be eliminated would certainly be the Chu Group, that's obvious. The Chu Group is tightly aligned with us, which is an indisputable fact. For the sake of mutual interests, it is also feasible to join forces to eliminate Farhadi and Brand," the general asserted righteously.

Now, how to choose is waiting for Kasam's decision.

Kasam glanced at the people around him, suppressing his fear, and said, "I left Nami with the Chu Group; seems like this was the wisest choice and can be effective. For safety reasons, we'd better enter the military base first and then make calculations. The most urgent thing now is to stabilize the army's morale, so those on the frontline shouldn't act rashly, to prevent Yahward from taking advantage of the situation. If that happens, our situation will be more dangerous. If the army's morale deteriorates, we have no chance to turn the tables. Then, we'll find the right opportunity to swiftly counterattack Farhadi and remove this thorn; the longer we delay, the more unfavorable it becomes for us."

He had his considerations for doing this. The military base is currently the safest place; if time drags on, it might not be so. Anyway, ensuring his safety first is crucial. If they immediately headed to the Chu Group, then what if the Chu Group decided to abandon their business in Ba Country and fled, fearing Farhadi and Brand's influence?

Considering everything, the most stable method is to go to the military base.

Of course, going to the Chu Group first has great advantages too, gaining their full support. At this time, sincerity is very important, but Kasam didn't want to take such risks and planned to implement a more stable plan.

"Brand, this traitor, once we recover, we must strip his skin. How dare he collude with Farhadi and stand against us, truly audacious." Somebody cursed, criticizing Brand's wrongdoing.

"Let's move, once we reach a safe place, we'll consider our subsequent countermeasures in detail," Kasam said to everyone.

The group moved as fast as they could toward the fortress of the military base.

At the same time, the battle on Farhadi's side was nearing its end. He gathered all the elites, and combined with Brand's manpower and weapon support, achieved considerable results.

Farhadi and Brand entered Kasam's office. Farhadi wiggled his hips and sat in Kasam's chair, surrounded by Lani's men who controlled the civil servants and military officers.

"Farhadi, you are openly challenging Kasam's authority. Wise up and stop in time, or you are doomed to die a horrible death," yelled a military officer, angrily shouting. Many others, like this officer, were extremely indignant, clenching their teeth in hatred for Farhadi's actions.

Of course, a very small number of people, remained silent.

"Kasam has fled to save his life; what good does it do for you to curse me?" Farhadi laughed cheerfully. "I tell you, it does no good, only death awaits. Siding with me is your only hope of survival. Even if not for your own sake, consider your wives and children. If you dare be disrespectful again, I don't mind a bloodbath."

"You dare!" someone roared.

"Don't dare? Ha, you overestimate yourself." Farhadi raised his hand and shot the person dead.

He blew the gun's barrel and said sinisterly, "I understand the principle of killing one as a warning to others; anyone else who wants to die, step forward, I'll grant your wish, and let your loved ones join you."

"You executioner, you're Ba Country's sinner, you'll go to Hell," someone else shouted out in defiance.

"Bang, bang, bang!" Farhadi fired several shots, swiftly eliminating those who despised him, sneering, "A bunch of ignorant fools, who do you think you are, to even dare curse me, how ridiculous."

Brand saw there were many who were not afraid to die, fearing Farhadi might recklessly kill them. Doing so wouldn't subdue them, for those unafraid of death didn't care, so he quickly whispered into Farhadi's ear.

In fact, Farhadi was also irritated, not wanting to be criticized, hoping to silence everyone, but instead, it had a worse effect, leaving him with no choice. After listening to Brand, he also took the offered way out, instructing, "Take these people away and lock them up. Once I have control again, I'll deal with them."

His subordinates acted swiftly, leaving behind only those who stayed silent throughout, without opposing Farhadi.

"Have we found Kasam?" Farhadi inquired.

Though he had sat in Kasam's chair, the battle wasn't fully over. The greatest likelihood was that Kasam was hiding in a safe house, as escaping was absolutely not an option.

What he didn't know was that to avoid attention, Kasam had left much earlier without alerting many.
