My Wife Turns Out to be an Empress of the Dynasty

Chapter 705: Not Afraid of Tongue-Twisting

The power of the Hammer of Evergreen Pine was terrifying, but this strike failed to injure the enemies even a little, nor did it land.

A tremendous roar echoed as they forcefully withstood the attack.

Upon seeing this, Gu Simu was stunned. She had used all her strength in this strike, yet these seven individuals had managed to block it.

Under her watch, the blood energy in their bodies surged, and with a single blow, they pushed the Hammer of Evergreen Pine back.

Gu Simu had just regained her senses when one of them appeared behind her. Blood energy surged from his hand, and a palm strike came straight for her.

This strike was unavoidable for Gu Simu. Her turning speed was a split second too slow.

With a loud explosion, Gu Simu was knocked back a hundred yards.

Though she wasn't injured, the layer of golden light surrounding her body had already disappeared.

Her gaze hardened, and Gu Simu's eyes darkened with an unmistakable shadow of gloom.

Seeing this, Gu Lan was equally surprised. With Gu Simu's strength, it should have been no problem for her to crush these individuals, so why had it turned out like this?

Zhongren's expression also became more awkward. Soon, he discovered the source of the issue.

It was the Dark Master's interference. The man's strength surpassed Gu Simu's, and it seemed that he was deliberately trying to put her in a deadly situation.

"My Lord, please let me join the fight!"

The Dark Clan had always relied on overwhelming numbers, so it made sense for Zhongren to join the battle now.

Gu Lan had already been concerned about Gu Simu, so he naturally didn't refuse.

Without saying another word, Zhongren immediately understood his meaning.

He took a step forward, and his true energy surged outward.

"Qimen Dunjia, Seal!"

A roar rang out, and the sky darkened with thick clouds, streaks of lightning intersecting as a formation appeared instantly.

Zhongren's hands moved in rapid succession, so fast that they left afterimages.

Seeing this, Gu Lan was startled. This man had some skills.

"Li Huo, Typhoon Rise!"

He chanted, and heavenly fire descended, followed by a whirlwind that stirred up around them. Two powerful forces combined to form a fire dragon vortex in the sky.

Gu Simu was protected behind him, and the seven figures in the distance were engulfed by flames.

The temperature around them surged several levels, and the space itself seemed to crack, as if it was about to explode at any moment.

Zhongren's brows furrowed deeply as he observed the situation ahead. Despite being surrounded by flames, those seven didn't cry out in pain and hadn't taken a single step back.

The Dark Master, however, was nonchalant, with a hint of mocking smile on his face.

A wave of black energy surged from his body, and he waved his hand, causing the seven figures to howl in anger.

He had used some other method to block their pain, and now, despite their injuries, they had only one thought— to kill!

"Ah!"

With a collective shout, the seven charged at them with brutal force.

They threw punches, aiming straight for Gu Simu and Zhongren.

Their attacks were unrestrained, and their power was terrifying.

The area around them was enveloped in blood energy, and the flames were shattered by the force of their strike.

Zhongren was shocked and retreated a step, quickly forming another series of seals with his hands. Hundreds of cold rays shot toward the attackers.

"Whoosh! Whoosh!"

The shrill sound of air being pierced echoed as his power slammed into the attackers.

Yet these individuals didn't stop. It was as if they couldn't feel any pain. With a single blow, they forced Zhongren back.

Just as Gu Simu was about to step forward, Zhongren hurriedly blocked her.

The Dark Master, with a calm expression and a glint of cold light in his eyes, spoke coldly.

"Girl, step back. I'll handle this!"

He placed Gu Simu behind him, his icy gaze never leaving the group of enemies ahead.

At that moment, he realized that these opponents had no sense of pain, which explained how they had withstood his earlier attack.

It was clear that Gu Simu wasn't suited to continue the fight. Staying here would only distract him further.

Gu Simu still wanted to say something, but before she could speak, Gu Lan's voice suddenly reached her ears.

"Listen to him, step back. He can handle it alone!"

Gu Lan trusted Zhongren's strength, knowing that he had the means to solve this problem. The current group of troublemakers would likely be no match for him.

But his gaze was still fixed on the Dark Master.

This man had too many tricks up his sleeve. Gu Lan had to keep a close eye on him— something unexpected might happen.

The tension in his eyes made the Dark Master feel quite uncomfortable. His face grew colder, and a flash of cold light appeared in his eyes.

However, the Dark Master didn't rush to take action. For now, he was content to wait.

The seven had his power coursing through them, and he was confident that they would not disappoint him.

At the start, Zhongren's Qimen Dunjia had the advantage, but soon it began to lose ground.

The energy from the Qimen Dunjia shattered, and even the formation he summoned couldn't hold up.

After being knocked back a hundred yards, Zhongren steadied himself, his cold gaze darkening as he faced forward.

These enemies were tougher than the previous ones. At this rate, there might be unexpected consequences for him.

But leaving now was no longer an option. These seven wouldn't give him the chance.

The seven were slowly gaining the upper hand, and the Dark Master was quite pleased with the result.

A cold smile crept onto his face as he issued a new command.

"Kill him!"

This time, the attackers didn't show any mercy. They surged forward, their power reaching its peak.

Upon seeing this, Gu Lan felt a sense of unease rise in his chest.

Though Zhongren was strong, even he couldn't withstand such a fierce attack.

If things continued this way, Zhongren might not make it out alive.

Just as Gu Lan was considering his options, a golden figure suddenly flashed from the distance.

A massive wave of true energy radiated outward, and with a series of thunderous crashes, the power unleashed by the seven was countered.

The sudden surge of energy caught the Dark Master off guard. He turned toward it just in time to see the space around the seven twist.

"Boom!"

The space shattered, and the seven were sucked into a black hole. Their auras vanished in an instant.

"A group of ants, daring to be so rampant here— seeking death!"

An icy voice rang out as Ding True Man descended from the heavens.

He landed in front of Gu Lan, first bowing to him respectfully before raising his head to face the scene ahead.

At first, he hadn't intended to intervene, but the energy these enemies released had been too terrifying, severely disrupting his cultivation.

If he didn't deal with them now, how could he focus on his own practice?

It had taken a great deal of effort to borrow Pagoda from Gu Lan, and if these troublemakers ruined it, he would regret it deeply.

The true energy emanating from Ding True Man was monstrous.

Upon seeing this, the Dark Master's expression grew grim, his eyes clouded with shadow.

Though the seven hadn't been killed, it would be difficult to free them anytime soon.

"You fight without honor…"

The Dark Master was furious, but before he could finish his words, Gu Simu coldly interrupted him.

"You're not afraid of twisting your tongue by saying that? You sent so many strong fighters at once, and you still have the nerve to say we're the ones without honor?"

Gu Simu retorted angrily, her eyes flashing with killing intent.

If Gu Lan hadn't stopped her, she would have rushed up to deal with the Dark Master herself.

Being scolded by a young girl was something the Dark Master could not swallow. His fury surged.
