My Wife Turns Out to be an Empress of the Dynasty

Chapter 706: The Unwilling Dark Clan

As soon as Gu Simu's voice faded, Dark Master's eyes were filled with murderous intent. His cold gaze swept across, and his body was immediately enveloped by a layer of black mist.

Seeing that he was about to strike, Gu Lan stepped forward and immediately shielded Gu Simu behind him. While Dark Master was indeed strong, his strength was still nowhere near that of Gu Lan.

Taking a step forward, the entire surrounding space trembled, and the Rule of Five Elements surged around him.

"You've brought these useless trash, and they've already been defeated. You want to fight?"

Gu Lan's aura was not the least bit weak. Though the black mist Dark Master had released was terrifying, it couldn't get close to the three of them. The moment it came near, it was completely shattered. Dark Master's face turned ugly as he retreated a step and then vanished from the area.

Seeing that Dark Master had left, Gu Lan sneered but didn't pay further attention, retracting his aura. Dark Clan had already suffered repeated losses of strong warriors, and now, Gu Lan was eager to see what other methods Dark Master had up his sleeve.

Back at the Dark Clan, Dark Master was in no better spirits. His blood-red eyes gleamed with murderous intent as he returned to the clan. Upon seeing his demeanor, the members of the clan immediately lowered their heads. None dared to speak.

Dark Master's mood was foul, and his frustration was evident.

"A bunch of useless waste! Is there not a single one among you capable of going into battle?"

His voice was cold, and his eyes carried a fierce, killing intent. The members of the clan lowered their heads even further, afraid to speak or respond.

They had already learned about the powerful figures within the Lanyan Royal School, and the most terrifying among them was Gu Lan. With his own strength, Gu Lan had defeated the Ancient God Clan, and even the mighty Golden Crow had been resealed.

They didn't know the details behind it, but it was clear that Gu Lan's strength was immeasurable. Even his previously displayed realm far surpassed theirs, and they weren't eager to die.

Seeing the silence among them, Dark Master's fury only grew. His killing intent locked onto everyone in the room. If it weren't for the fact that some of these people still had their uses, he would have taught them a lesson.

He wanted to say more, but seeing that no one dared speak, he swallowed the words he had been about to say. With a dark expression, he turned away, not knowing how to proceed.

Just as he was contemplating his next move, two figures suddenly appeared from the distance. They were the two guardians of Dark Clan.

Upon seeing them, Dark Master froze for a moment before quickly walking toward them. However, as he felt their aura, he stopped in his tracks, his expression growing more serious.

The realms of these two were surprisingly low. He had thought they would have grown stronger, but instead, their powers had diminished.

Surprised, he restrained his gaze and asked, "What happened to you two? Why has your power weakened so much?"

One of the guardians replied, "We just sealed our own realms; everything else remains unaffected."

They had done this on purpose, as exposing too much of their strength could cause problems. By sealing their realms, they hoped to avoid unnecessary complications.

"We've heard about your repeated defeats. Today, we'll step in. Let's see what the Lanyan Royal School is truly capable of!"

The guardians' faces were grim, and their eyes burned with killing intent. Hearing this, Dark Master was somewhat pleased.

He trusted these two guardians, and with them on the battlefield, he was sure Gu Lan would not be able to handle them. The Lanyan Royal School would undoubtedly fall this time.

Excited, Dark Master couldn't help but smile coldly, retracting his aura and bowing slightly to the two guardians.

"Well then, I leave it to you both."

This time, he didn't intend to send any more powerful warriors; with these two, there was no need to trouble others. Their strength would suffice.

The two guardians didn't even glance at him as they turned and sped off, their bodies becoming blurry as they disappeared.

Meanwhile, Gu Lan and his group had just returned to the Lanyan Royal School after their victory. The students of the school were jubilant, their morale at an all-time high.

However, Gu Lan himself was not overly joyous. His face remained as serious as ever.

He understood that Dark Master would not give up so easily. He had to remain vigilant.

Dark Master was bound to use some tricks or send stronger warriors. Given the time that had passed, the two guardians who had previously awakened should be approaching full strength by now.

As Gu Lan's expression softened, the Shadow Slave suddenly appeared before him. The Shadow Slave bowed and, with a grave expression, spoke.

"Master, the two guardians of Dark Clan are coming."

Hearing this, Gu Lan was taken aback. Dark Master truly would stop at nothing.

His face turned cold, and a sharp gleam flashed in his eyes.

"Since they've come, let's meet them head-on!"

Gu Lan knew that as long as the Competition of Myriads of Clans was ongoing, Dark Master wouldn't give up. It would be futile to wait any longer.

Before Gu Lan could take a step, Ding True Man stepped forward.

"Master, let me deal with these two. I'll test my skills!"

Ding True Man offered eagerly. Gu Lan was somewhat surprised; he had originally intended for Ding True Man to handle the subsequent troubles.

But since Ding True Man had volunteered, there was no reason to refuse. It would also be a good opportunity to see how strong these two guardians truly were.

"Then you go. Don't disappoint me!" Gu Lan added.

Ding True Man nodded quickly, understanding the gravity of the task.

"Rest assured, Master!"

With a surge of energy, Ding True Man's Heaven-Fixing Realm aura burst forth. The space before him twisted, and with a single step, he vanished.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived above the Lanyan Royal School, his gaze instantly locking onto the two guardians in the distance.

However, after a single glance, Ding True Man frowned. The two guardians' realms were only at the Imperial Realm's third level.

This was completely unexpected. Ding True Man had assumed they were coming as strong adversaries, an opportunity for him to display his skills. But instead, they were only two weaklings.

How could he fight them now?

He couldn't back out now, though. Having already boasted to Gu Lan, he had no choice but to move forward.

Sighing in resignation, he walked up and blocked the two guardians' path.

"Gentlemen, the path ahead is closed. Please move elsewhere."

The two guardians' realms were so weak that Ding True Man had no desire to fight.

Instead of wasting time here, he'd rather find some stronger opponents.

His eyes were full of disdain, and he didn't even look at the two guardians.

The two guardians, naturally, were enraged by his arrogance. As soon as he finished speaking, one of them stepped forward and coldly said, "You're truly audacious, daring to speak like that to us!"

The icy voice rang out, and their aura flared without holding back. Black mist instantly enveloped the surroundings.

Seeing the vast black mist coming at him, Ding True Man was momentarily stunned. Then, a sly smile appeared on his face.

"Interesting. I underestimated you two!"

He had thought that their realms were low, and their strength was weak, but the energy they released was unexpectedly intriguing.

Not bothering to hold back, Ding True Man released his full aura. The black mist surrounding him dissipated in an instant.

As he stood at the center, the space around him twisted.
