Naruto: Destroy the Sarutobi Clan At the Beginning

Chapter 136: Chapter 138

At that moment, Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, Hyuga Neji, and other Genin who had advanced from the Chunin Exam preliminaries arrived. Along with them were Konoha Special Jonin Mitarashi Anko and Chunin Umino Iruka, trailing behind Naruto as they reached the battlefield.

What greeted them were the unconscious bodies of Might Guy, Gekko Hayate, Morino Ibiki, and Sarutobi Asuma. Kakashi was kneeling on one knee, clutching his dislocated arm, while Kirito stood over him with an unbothered expression.

Shock and disbelief spread across everyone's faces. None of them had imagined that five of Konoha's elite ninjas—shinobi they once deemed untouchable—could be so utterly defeated by a single person.

"Kakashi-sensei!"

"Sensei Asuma!"

Ino and Sakura made a move to rush forward, but Anko blocked their path, snapping sternly, "Don't go any closer! If you do, you'll die."

Anko turned to Kirito, her face grim. "Who are you, and what is your purpose for coming to Konoha?"

Kirito turned slightly, releasing Kakashi and casually kicking him toward Anko. "A trip down memory lane," he said with a hint of amusement. "To see what the old man Sarutobi Hiruzen has done to the village that was once the strongest in the ninja world."

Kirito's medium-length black hair swayed as he turned fully. His scratched Konoha forehead protector, perfectly sculpted features, and calm demeanor sent shivers through those present.

Mitarashi Anko caught Kakashi with a firm grip, her face paling as her gaze locked onto Kirito's. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she gasped. "You… you're Fujiwara Kirito—the one who wiped out the Sarutobi and Shimura clans. Konoha's most infamous criminal!"

The revelation caused an uproar among the Genin behind her.

Sakura's trembling voice broke the silence. "Fujiwara Kirito… is that really him?"

Shino, more composed, took out his bingo book. After a quick scan, he nodded solemnly. "It matches the description perfectly. There's no doubt—it's him."

Kankuro's face turned pale, and he tugged on Gaara's sleeve. "Gaara, this guy is dangerous! Let's leave now and let Konoha handle this."

But Gaara paid no attention to Kankuro. Instead, he formed a quick seal and appeared thirty steps from Kirito in an instant. His cold voice cut through the tension. "You were the one disguised as the bandaged man, weren't you?"

"Of course," Kirito replied calmly before disappearing. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared beside Gaara. With a single strike, Gaara collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

"How… how is that possible?" Kankuro stammered, his legs trembling. "He took Gaara down with one move!"

Temari clenched her fists but dared not take a step forward.

"Brother Kirito, why? Why are you doing this?" Naruto's voice rang out, trembling with emotion. Tears welled in his eyes as he stepped forward, his fists clenched.

Kakashi, barely able to stand, placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder, holding him back. "Naruto, don't go near him! He's not the Kirito you once knew!"

Kirito tilted his head and chuckled. "Not the Fujiwara Kirito you recognize anymore, huh? Kakashi, you're too naive." He spread his arms theatrically. "Not everyone is like you. For the sake of your dead friend, you even forgave the man responsible for your father's death."

He shifted his gaze to Naruto. "If Naruto knew the truth about his origins, if Sasuke understood what really happened to the Uchiha clan, or if the entire village saw Hiruzen Sarutobi for the manipulative old man he is—tell me, Kakashi, what would happen then?"

He paused, then added, "But Naruto… you're different. Your heart has been filled by Iruka, Kakashi, Sasuke, and even that ridiculous girl, Sakura. You'll never fall to the darkness. Konoha should thank Hiruzen for that much."

Hearing Kirito's words, Sakura's indignation flared. "You jerk! My name isn't ridiculous, and you have no right to talk about me like that!" she screamed, her voice cracking with anger and fear.

Kirito didn't even turn to look at her. With a flick of his wrist, an invisible force struck Sakura, sending her flying. She crashed to the ground, clutching her swollen face.

"Your name doesn't matter," Kirito sneered. "You're just as pathetic no matter what you're called. I've been observing you, Sakura. You ignore Naruto, mock him for being an orphan, and yet you fawn over Sasuke like a mindless fool. Even when Naruto risked his life fighting Orochimaru in the Forest of Death, you cried for Sasuke but didn't spare a glance for Naruto. And you have the nerve to act righteous?"

Sakura whimpered, her confidence shattered. She buried her face in her hands, too ashamed to meet anyone's gaze.

"Enough of this." Kirito waved dismissively. "Let's not waste time on a lost cause."

At that moment, dozens of shadowy figures leapt from the surrounding trees. Sarutobi Hiruzen emerged from the forest, dressed in his combat uniform, gripping the Adamantine Staff in his hand. He stood atop a fallen tree, his expression grim as he surveyed the scene.

"Hokage-sama!" The Konoha ninjas' spirits lifted instantly, seeing the man they called the strongest of his time.

Sarutobi's voice was firm. "Everyone, retreat. Take the injured and leave this place. The Anbu and I will handle the rest."

"Do you really think anyone can leave without my permission?" Kirito asked, smirking. Flames erupted from his fingertips, spreading across the ground. In moments, the Uchiha Flame Formation encased the area, its fiery walls towering over the forest.

"This… this is the Uchiha's fire barrier! Kirito, are you planning to wipe us all out?" Sarutobi's voice betrayed his shock.

Kirito chuckled. "Me? Wipe you out? Old man, you've done far worse than I ever could." His tone darkened, and his smile faded. "Shall we discuss the crimes you've committed in the name of Konoha? I see some of your victims' families here. Perhaps they'd like to hear it."
