In the arena.
On the other side, Orochimaru's expression grew serious as he stared at Kirito. Forcing a smile, he said, "Oh, Kirito-kun, I thought you'd wait until I killed the Third Hokage before making an appearance."
Despite having summoned the First and Second Hokage with the Impure World Reincarnation, Orochimaru knew his own limitations. His technique was incomplete, and to avoid accidents like when the Third Kazekage escaped, he had deliberately suppressed the strength of the two Hokage. Even the sacrifices for the summoning were mere Genin, making the jutsu far from perfect. At best, the two Hokage were at a weakened Kage-level, inferior to Sarutobi Hiruzen in his current state.
If Kirito decided to intervene, Orochimaru knew he wouldn't stand a chance.
"It's not every day one gets to meet the legendary God of Ninja," Kirito said casually, ignoring Sarutobi Hiruzen. His eyes flickered to the two Sound Ninja maintaining the Four Purple Flame Formation. "Now, have these two open the barrier."
Orochimaru hesitated but forced a smirk. "You don't seem surprised that I summoned the First and Second Hokage using the Impure World Reincarnation."
Kirito nodded. "Of course not. After all, you even summoned the Third Kazekage in the Land of Wind. How could you not bring back the legendary Ninja God in Konoha?"
Seeing that Orochimaru wasn't immediately complying, Kirito added, "Relax. I'm not interested in interfering in your little farce with your teacher. I simply wish to chat with these two Hokage. I'll leave once I'm done."
He smiled faintly and continued, "Besides, you don't want me breaking this barrier, do you?"
Orochimaru's face darkened as he reluctantly signaled Tayuya and Sakon. The two Sound Ninja exchanged wary glances before creating a small opening in the barrier.
Before Kirito could step in, several Anbu members loyal to the Hokage appeared, brandishing kunai. They rushed at Kirito, assuming he intended to assist Orochimaru.
With a faint smile, Kirito formed a simple hand seal. A wave of invisible chakra erupted from his body, accompanied by a sharp sound that echoed through the air. The Anbu were thrown back as if struck by a cannon, slamming into the walls of the arena's dome.
The wave of chakra continued outward, dispelling the genjutsu affecting the crowd and awakening those who had been caught in the illusion.
Inside the barrier, the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, stepped out of their coffins. Tobirama's sharp gaze locked onto Kirito, and his expression hardened. "That chakra… it's impressive. It seems there's a massive reserve of natural energy hidden within you. Young man, are you the one who summoned us?"
Kirito smiled faintly. "I'm honored by the praise, Lord Second Hokage, but no, I wasn't the one who summoned you."
The subtle release of his Kyoka Suigetsu cast its illusion. Unbeknownst to Tobirama, he was already under Kirito's influence.
Tobirama turned to look behind him, his eyes narrowing. "Is it you?"
Hashirama followed his brother's gaze, his brow furrowing in thought.
Before Orochimaru could respond, Kirito interjected, "Yes, it's him—Orochimaru. He's the disciple of our Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, who calls himself the 'strongest Hokage of all time.' He's also your disciple's grandson."
Kirito's tone grew mocking. "In an effort to give his teacher a dignified end, Orochimaru used this incomplete Impure World Reincarnation to summon you. But let's be honest, your current strength doesn't even come close to your prime."
Orochimaru's eyes narrowed, but he remained silent.
Kirito continued, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "All this effort so Sarutobi Hiruzen can die a 'heroic' death, facing two legendary Hokage. He can then pass on the title of the 'strongest Hokage of all time' to Orochimaru, his 'worthy' disciple."
He turned his gaze to Hiruzen. "And what a legacy he's left. A string of poor decisions and failures, all culminating in this war that he's allowed to unfold."
Tobirama's face darkened as he turned to Hiruzen. "Monkey, is what this young man says true?"
Hashirama remained silent, observing the interaction with a somber expression.
Hiruzen's face twisted in anger and desperation. "First Hokage-sama, Second Hokage-sama, don't believe this traitor's lies! He's an evil man who betrayed Konoha, slaughtered the Sarutobi and Shimura clans, and injured many of our strongest jonin. He is irredeemable!"
Kirito chuckled. "Born evil? Is that how you excuse your failures? Two Hokage, take a good look at the state of Konoha. The village you built is in shambles because of him. And while we're at it, do you notice a certain clan missing?"
Hashirama closed his eyes, his chakra reaching out to sense the village. When he opened them again, his voice was heavy. "The Uchiha clan…"
Kirito nodded. "Exactly. Since your death, Lord First, your brother began suppressing the Uchiha. But at least he understood the importance of balance. Sarutobi Hiruzen, however, eradicated them completely."
Hashirama's expression darkened, while Tobirama's gaze grew colder. The atmosphere around the Hokage began to shift, and the air grew heavy with tension.
