Naruto: Evolution

Chapter 29: Practice

The "uncle" Hayato was referring to was none other than the current ruler of Konoha, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The fact that the Hokage had expressed interest in Gen was no small matter.

However, for Gen, defeating Azora and Momo had not been a significant challenge. He felt no emotion about it.

Even when the later conversation, in which Hayato, Azora, and Momo agreed that his talent was not inferior to Kakashi's, tried to put it into perspective, Gen did not get carried away by the comparison.

He knew that Kakashi was incredibly talented.

Genin at five years old, Chūnin at six. His growth rate was impressive, but for him, that did not mean anything special.

In the present and in the future, he did not believe that Kakashi could surpass him.

If he calmly analyzed the facts, Kakashi's performance in the original story demonstrated that, although his talent in Ninjutsu was outstanding, in other aspects, the difference between them was too great.

First, there was the physical aspect.

Kakashi's body was, at best, average. Compared to his own [Constitution] state when it was at ☆, the difference was evident.

That same constitution was the reason why, in the future, he would suffer severe chakra limitations, especially due to the Sharingan.

It was no secret that the use of the Sharingan by someone outside the Uchiha clan consumed enormous amounts of chakra, but even so, a Jōnin of his level should have had much higher reserves.

The fact that he did not have them demonstrated his limited physical condition.

Then there were his skills in Taijutsu and Genjutsu.

Although these two aspects were not as evident as his prowess in Ninjutsu, it was clear that they did not reach the same level.

In comparison, Gen had not only reached the [Constitution] level of ★★, but his talents in other areas were also at the level of ★☆.

It could be said that even his weakest talent probably surpassed Kakashi's strongest talent.

With these conditions, his growth rate would far exceed Kakashi's, no matter when his potential exploded.

Just like in his battle against Ono, Gen had not even used all his strength. He had held back.

It was only a matter of time before the gap between him and Kakashi became irreparable.

"Let's wrap up for today. To celebrate Gen's joining, I'll treat you all to grilled meat," said Hayato with a smile.

"Really!? AWESOME!" Momo squealed with excitement, her eyes shining upon hearing the word "meat."

Azora, who had been serious until now, also smiled with some anticipation.

Gen, for his part, simply smiled:

"Then I won't hold back."

Despite his mindset focused on growth and strength, he was not unaware of the importance of strengthening bonds within the team.

Since he had just joined, it was only logical that he did not refuse the invitation.

Under Hayato's leadership, the group left the training field and headed to a rather crowded barbecue restaurant.

The atmosphere was harmonious, and after a plentiful meal, Hayato informed them of the time of the next meeting before each of them departed.

Time passed in the blink of an eye, and before he knew it, more than half a month had already gone by.

In a private training field, enormous rocks several meters high were scattered randomly.

Swish

With a burst of chakra from his feet, his body shot forward like a flash of light, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.

In an instant, he appeared in front of the nearest rock.

Boom

His fist, charged with concentrated chakra, struck with a violent explosion, unleashing an overwhelming force.

The impact rumbled like a volcanic eruption, and with a thunderous crack, the rock shattered on the spot.

But he did not stop. His silhouette kept moving at full speed, zigzagging between the rocks.

Boom

Boom

Boom

The rumbling did not cease. Every punch and every kick unleashed monstrous energy, pulverizing everything in its path.

Fragments of stone flew through the air as the training field trembled.

And it all ended in a matter of seconds.

When his figure emerged on the other side of the field, only scattered rubble remained everywhere. The air was still filled with dust, and small fragments of rock fell like a slow rain.

Gen observed the scene for a moment and then smiled, satisfied.

"I took a little longer than expected, but I have finally mastered it completely."

'Uchiha Style Strength Jutsu'

This B-Rank Taijutsu technique used chakra concentration and release to generate immense force.

Unlike other skills of the same rank, it required less chakra to execute but demanded exceptional chakra control and considerable physical endurance.

Even with his current talent, it took Gen more than half a month to master it completely.

Of course, reaching a basic level only took him a few days.

However, in its early stages, the jutsu still required a brief charging time to concentrate the chakra before being executed.

Controlling and condensing chakra into a single point was no simple task, especially at the level required for the 'Uchiha Style Strength Jutsu' to unleash its full potential.

That charging delay did not affect the technique's power, but it did compromise its fluidity.

Especially in combat, where Taijutsu depended on instant reactions and was much more frantic than Ninjutsu, any delay, no matter how minimal, could make the difference between victory and defeat.

But now, with complete mastery of the technique, Gen could concentrate chakra instantly and execute it with just a thought.

Of course, that did not mean he could not improve it even further.

Whether Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, or Genjutsu, the levels only indicated the minimum requirement to execute them, but their true limit depended on the user.

In the case of the 'Uchiha Style Strength Jutsu,' the more chakra was concentrated before being released, the greater the power of the explosion.

This process depended on the user's chakra control, the amount of chakra available, and most importantly, the body's ability to withstand it.

Strength always worked relatively.

For example, when punching someone, the impact generated a counterforce on the hand itself. That is why, in street fights, people often injured their knuckles and wrists after throwing punches.

The 'Uchiha Style Strength Jutsu' was no exception to this rule.

When chakra was accumulated to an extreme level and released all at once, the part of the body that had concentrated the energy also suffered a proportional counterforce.

If the user did not have enough physical endurance, the self-inflicted damage could be immense.

Gen only realized this problem after experiencing it in practice. That was when he understood why, despite the existence of this powerful jutsu, almost no member of the Uchiha clan bothered to train it.
