Hearing his words, Nawaki raised his hands slightly. His expression turned grave, though his voice remained calm.

"If you make a move, be ready to leave your life here."

Kakuzu, his face emotionless, replied in a low, menacing tone.

"Don't worry. The one who'll die here is you. Killing someone who defies orders like you won't earn me blame from Lord Aizen."

As Kakuzu's words, tinged with killing intent, echoed in the air, the atmosphere seemed to freeze. A suffocating aura enveloped the area, as though a fierce battle could erupt at any moment.

The Konoha shinobi watched with bated breath, worriedly glancing at Nawaki, whose face remained calm.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the battlefield near Konoha:

A vast, dense, and shadowy forest stretched into the distance. Hidden in the dark corners of the forest were numerous shinobi.

Some were from Konoha, others from Iwa, and still others from Sunagakure.

For some reason, despite being aware of each other's presence, none made any moves to engage. Instead, they lay in wait as if anticipating something.

At the heart of the forest, a massive clearing had been torn apart as if by a savage beast.

The once-sturdy terrain was marred with deep trenches stretching dozens of meters long. Solid rock had been reduced to rubble scattered around the jagged fissures.

Ominous, bottomless pits dotted the area, their origins unclear.

The surrounding trees, once thick and unyielding, now lay shattered, their broken stumps jagged and coarse as though snapped violently by some monstrous force.

"Huff, huff..."

A heavy, labored breathing broke the stillness, coming from a concealed tree trunk in the distance.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, his ninja attire in tatters, crouched there, his sharp eyes scanning the area as though anticipating an attack.

"Shhh..."

Suddenly, a faint sound came from a short distance behind him.

Hiruzen's instincts kicked in. Without turning, his eyes flashed dangerously, and his hands quickly formed seals.

As he spun, his technique was ready. His chest puffed out, and he shouted:

"Wind Release: Thousand-Faced Gale!"

"Whoosh!"

With his cry, several fierce gales erupted out of nowhere, tearing through the air.

The violent winds shredded everything in their path, slicing branches silently and converging on a single point.

Without hesitation, Hiruzen surged forward, a dark, golden-tipped staff clenched tightly in his hands.

From the distance, Onoki, the Tsuchikage, hovered in midair. The fierce winds surrounded him, and his face darkened as he growled.

"Hiruzen!"

Despite his anger, he stayed calm. Scanning for an opening in the surrounding winds, he prepared to escape.

As he darted toward a gap in the oncoming storm, Hiruzen leaped from a tree trunk in pursuit, his staff spinning in his hands.

"Tsuchikage, take this!"

He raised the staff high, aiming a crushing blow at Onoki as the Tsuchikage descended.

"Damn it, he's calculated my escape route!"

Onoki's expression soured. Reacting quickly, he formed hand seals and roared:

"Earth Release: Heavy Rock Fist!"

Rocks surged and engulfed his right arm, forming a massive stone fist.

Raising the enormous fist to shield himself, Onoki met Hiruzen's descending staff head-on.

"Boom!"

The clash echoed like a mountain shattering.

"Whoosh!"

The force of the impact unleashed violent gusts that bent nearby trees nearly to breaking.

From above, Onoki's figure suddenly plummeted like a cannonball.

Unexpectedly, before hitting the ground, his descent stopped abruptly.

"Earth Release: Lightened Boulder Technique!"

Floating midair, Onoki lay on his back, blood trickling from his lips. He sneered.

"Impressive tactics, Hiruzen. Are you trying to force me into a taijutsu showdown?"

He glanced at Hiruzen's staff, his sharp eyes betraying a flicker of apprehension.

"What a terrifying blow. If I had been slower, that strike would have taken me out of the fight completely."

Meanwhile, Hiruzen frowned as he descended, muttering to himself.

"He evaded it again. His ability to fly is truly troublesome."

As he mused, Hiruzen hurled shuriken at Onoki.

"Ninja Art: Shuriken Shadow Clone!"

The shuriken multiplied midair, transforming into colossal blades several meters wide.

Seeing this, Onoki sneered.

"Is this all you've got, Hiruzen? Such petty tricks won't work."

Bringing his hands together, he separated them to reveal a gleaming, cube-shaped energy.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

A blinding white light erupted, obliterating the massive shuriken instantly. The beam continued toward Hiruzen, who dodged narrowly.

The light grazed his shoulder and incinerated the forest behind him into dust.

Hiruzen's expression turned grim.

'His Dust Release, combining three chakra natures, is nearly unstoppable. Without my Five-Element Great Combo, I can't face it directly...'

He glanced toward the distant battlefield and sighed.

'And now, Konoha is under siege by both Iwa and Suna. Aizen might even be involved. That earlier tremor... was it caused by Shukaku? Can Jiraiya handle it alone?'

Onoki smirked, noticing Hiruzen's distraction.

"Hiruzen, still worried about Konoha? Don't bother. After today, Konoha will be wiped off the map!"

Hiruzen's expression darkened.

"No matter what, we must endure. Konoha won't fall so easily!"

---

Far from Konoha, a forest canopy was suddenly overshadowed by enormous white birds streaking through the sky.

On the backs of these birds stood dark-skinned, muscular shinobi.

One, a burly youth, muttered in a deep voice:

"From Darui's intel, it seems Konoha is in deep trouble."

Beside him, another dark-skinned shinobi wearing glasses gestured flamboyantly.

"No matter what, yo-yo, this is our moment! The messier, the better! Whoo-whoo!"

Annoyed, the first youth punched him hard.

"B! I told you to stop that awful rapping!"

Behind them, their companions chuckled at the exchange.

---

On the Mist-shrouded island of Kirigakure, within a tall, dark building:

"It's time," a middle-aged man in the shadows said coldly.

"Send word. Inform Fuguki, Juzo, Yagura, and Ameyuri to lead the Mist forces. We march on Konoha immediately!"

A shadow flickered and disappeared in acknowledgment.

As silence fell again, another figure emerged from the darkness behind the man.

His red, ominous eyes glowed in the gloom as he murmured.

"Underestimating Aizen... perhaps your greatest mistake, Madara. But then again, I don't have much faith in you either."
