Chapter 75: Chapter 75

In the hot spring, Sasuke could no longer suppress his murderous intent. Lightning crackled around his arms as he prepared to strike down the man responsible for his clan's annihilation. Jiraiya and Naruto, hearing the sound of electricity surging behind them, turned toward Sasuke.

The surrounding humidity was high due to the hot spring, filling the air with moisture—an ideal conductor for his Lightning Release. The already powerful Chidori Stream expanded into a web of electricity, filling the air with a sound reminiscent of birds chirping. The lightning illuminated Sasuke's face, making him look terrifying as he laughed maniacally and charged toward Itachi, his Chidori in hand.

Itachi, seemingly unfazed by his younger brother's reckless attack, tilted his head slightly toward Kisame, who stood beside him. Understanding the silent signal, Kisame swung his massive Samehada forward. Rather than striking Sasuke directly, the grotesque blade's bloodthirsty maw opened wide as if it had just caught a feast. The moment Samehada made contact, the crackling electricity surrounding Sasuke's body vanished without a trace. The once-roaring Chidori Stream was devoured by the sword as if it were nothing more than a small flickering flame.

Without his Chidori's enhancement, Sasuke's momentum dropped significantly. However, he didn't stop. Instead, he pushed forward with even more speed, recalling the Taijutsu he had copied from Rock Lee and Might Guy. His fist shot toward Itachi with incredible force.

Yet, Itachi remained still, watching Sasuke's movements as if humoring a child playing at being a warrior. As the punch neared, he casually lifted a leg and delivered a sharp sideways kick. Sasuke's attack was knocked off course before it could even reach him.

In the blink of an eye, Itachi closed the distance, his fist sinking mercilessly into Sasuke's abdomen. The sheer force sent Sasuke reeling, blood spewing from his mouth. Before he could recover, Itachi's hand gripped his throat and slammed him against the wall of the hot spring inn with a loud "Bang!"

Sasuke's mind reeled. His vision blurred as he struggled to comprehend what had just happened. This… This isn't right. Why is Itachi so strong? I should be able to kill him… Why did I get taken down in just two moves?!

Coughing up more blood, Sasuke's Sharingan flared with intensity, the tomoe spinning wildly as if they might bleed from his eyes. But staring back at him were a different pair of scarlet eyes—ones far more sinister and intricate. Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan gleamed with an eerie brilliance, locking Sasuke in place.

"My foolish little brother… You are too weak, and your hatred for me is not strong enough." Itachi's voice was chilling, his grip tightening around Sasuke's throat. "Hate me. Cling to that hatred and live pathetically. Only when you awaken the same eyes as mine will you be able to stand before me again…"

As he spoke, his Mangekyō Sharingan spun, dragging Sasuke into a powerful Genjutsu (Illusion Technique). In the world of illusions, Itachi had complete control. He would force Sasuke to relive the worst night of his life—the Uchiha Clan Massacre.

However, something unexpected happened.

The illusion shifted, but instead of the blood-soaked streets of the Uchiha district, a completely different battlefield unfolded. The sky rumbled with dark thunderclouds, fierce winds howled, and an intense clash of chakra filled the air. Three powerful figures stood in the heart of the battlefield, their auras exuding overwhelming terror.

One was a massive sand-covered tanuki—Shukaku, the One-Tail. Another was a crimson beast, its many tails swaying ominously—clearly a Jinchūriki in full Tailed Beast Transformation. But the third creature was something else entirely.

A colossal blue dragon, wreathed in roaring flames, hovered over the battlefield. Golden chains floated behind it, crackling with an energy that seemed beyond the realm of shinobi techniques. Its thunderous roar shook the heavens, blocking out the very sky itself.

"…What the hell is this?" Itachi muttered, his calm demeanor cracking for a brief moment.

This was not what he had expected. Sasuke's most feared memory should have been the night of the massacre—so why was he seeing this scene instead?

Frowning, Itachi continued watching. The illusion played out further, revealing a shocking twist. The dragon let out a deafening roar before unleashing a combined torrent of lightning and fire, annihilating everything in its path. The Uchiha clan fell one by one, not to his blade, but to this monstrous creature's devastating breath.

The traditional image of Itachi standing under the blood moon, slaughtering his kin, had been replaced. In this warped memory, it was the dragon that had wiped out the Uchiha.

Sasuke, kneeling in a pool of blood, watched helplessly as the dragon transformed into Uchiha Itachi before his eyes. The creature's mouth opened wide, swallowing him whole in a burst of hellfire.

Itachi's brows furrowed. This… is Danzo's doing, isn't it?

He had always known the higher-ups in Konoha would eventually move against Sasuke. His agreement with the late Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had ensured Sasuke's survival—at least while Hiruzen was in power. But after his death, all bets were off. Someone had clearly manipulated Sasuke's memories, feeding him false visions to intensify his hatred.

Danzo was the most likely culprit.

Returning to reality, Itachi's expression hardened. He had intended to plant the seeds of hatred in Sasuke, but Danzo's interference complicated things. Just as he was about to continue, a blond figure in a bathrobe rushed forward.

"Get away from Sasuke!"

Naruto charged at him, attempting to form a Rasengan but he still wasn't skilled enough. Instead, he relied on his Shadow Clones, executing a flurry of basic strikes.

In an instant, Itachi's body scattered into a flock of crows, vanishing into the air. Kisame, who had been watching quietly, narrowed his small, shark-like eyes.

"Nine-Tails Jinchūriki…" he muttered. "Looks like we found our target, Itachi."

With that, Kisame lifted all the seals on Samehada, his intent clear. Their mission was to capture Naruto. Forming hand seals, he manipulated the moisture in the air, preparing to trap Naruto in a massive Suiton: Suirō no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Prison Jutsu).

But something was wrong.

The ground beneath them softened. The wooden structure of the hot spring inn and the marble flooring warped, shifting into something grotesque. The walls pulsed like living flesh, and the air became thick with an unsettling heat—this wasn't natural humidity, but the breath of something alive.

Kisame's instincts screamed at him—this was a trap. They were the ones being caught, not Naruto.

Jiraiya stepped forward, striking an exaggerated pose, his wooden clogs tapping against the fleshy ground. He positioned himself between Naruto and Sasuke, facing the Akatsuki duo with a confident smirk.

Kisame tensed, halting his jutsu. "You're…"

Jiraiya grinned. "That's right! I am—"

"Pervy Sage!" Naruto interrupted loudly, dragging Sasuke behind him for cover.

Jiraiya's face twitched. His grand introduction had been completely ruined. "I told you not to call me that in front of enemies, you brat…"

Kisame let out a low chuckle, gripping Samehada tightly. The real fight was about to begin.
