Naruto: Wolf of the Hidden Leaf

"You don't seem like a religious person," I said with air quotes.

"I don't see much of a reason for you to join these people. Why are you even with them? What's your motive?"

"It's a battlefield, boy. I don't have time to tell you my reasons for being here." The cloud ninja said in a stern voice.

"Fair enough. At least tell me your name so that I can collect your bounty later on." I said in a provocative tone.

In response the cloud ninja started laughing in an amusing tone. He had no care about one of the cultists whose leg I cut off.

Dangerous.

They don't have any feeling of obligation towards their comrades. It seems they really do have a screw loose on their brain.

"You can learn my name after you are worthy enough." The cloud ninja said with a grin.

And then within an instant, all three of them jumped towards me. The cloud ninja took out his sword from his sheath and the two of the cultist took out their kunai.

I moved my feet quick enough to dodge a hand coming out of the ground. But just as I had dodged, I was greeted with one of the bodyguards. Her taijutsu was pretty good as she tried to keep pressure on me till the cloud ninja could stab me with his sword.

Unfortunately for them, nothing can truly escape my senses.

Just as the cloud ninja tried to close in, I stomped the ground while infusing chakra on my kick. The ground cracked apart as they lost their balance.

Fighting while using my sword was proving to be disadvantageous to me. I was not at that level that I could perform hand-signs with only one hand. Nor I was that competent enough with my Kenjutsu to be confident enough to fight against multiple opponents.

Having the cutting power and the reach of the sword was extremely useful but in this moment, the cons outweighs the pros.

Calculations went through me head on the split second I had stomped the ground. Just as my opponents lost their balance, I quickly used a smoke bomb to hinder their vision.

They already had their vision impaired due to the dense forest hiding the full-moon. Now, they had no vision.

But I can sense everything.

And I will finish it as quickly as I can.

My sword left my hand as I threw it right towards the woman who was good at taijutsu. The trajectory was perfectly calculated and yet my mark missed. She slipped on a rock which inerdvertly save her life. Instead of hitting the heart, the sword stabbed through her left arm.

Just like the previous guy, she did not scream nor did her body movement change due to the issue of a sword sticking through her arm.

Whatever. It didn't matter. Sometimes even when you are mentally unaffected, handicaps can prove to be quite hindersome. And as a pre med student as well as an aspiring medical shinobi, I had enough knowledge to realize that she wasn't going to use her left hand anytime soon.

Only three opponents left. Of which, one of them was already bleeding out due to the amputation of his leg. The other one was trying to get out of range of the smoke bomb to get his visuals back again.

I twisted my body forcefully and used chakra on my legs to turn swiftly.

Just as soon as he had gotten out of the smoke and regained his eyesight, his eyes met mine. The eyes of a predator.

I had already performed the necessary handsigns for I knew very very well how to perform this justu.

'Hell viewing technique'

Usually it takes a while for the reaction of this jutsu, but in this case, it was instantaneous.

Without even missing the single bit, he used the kunai he was using to fight against me, flipped it and stabbed it right to his throat.

And he did it again and again and again.

He stopped stabbing his throat when there seemed to be no throat left there at all. I saw gradually as parts of his throat flung here and there due to the uneven stabs. Within a matter of seconds I got the practical knowledge of human anatomy that I have never had.

What the hell? What have he been subjected to for him to have such a gruesome reaction?

Did I just make him kill himself?

Due to the bizzareness of the action and the visceral sights inches from my face, I lost my concentration for a moment.

And that cost me dearly as I found a lightning infused sword and a kunai tied to an explosive tag inches away from my body.

Both of them hit me simultenously as it created an illusion of me dying. Then with a puff of smoke it was substituted by a log I had prepared beforehand.

The cloud ninja quickly retreated back with his lightning sword so that he doesn't get caught in the explosion.

BOOOM

The ground shook as the explosion went off. Taking it as a source of distraction, I sneaked behind the one armed cultist.

She was quick on her feet as she flipped to the side to dodge my punch and launched a conterattack aimed at my head.

I grinned seeing that.

With my left hand, I grabbed her fist as tightly as I could so that she can't escape. Before she could use her legs to kick me, I clenched my right fist tightly, my short frame making it easy for me to aim directly at her abdomen.

My fist infused with my chakra slammed right into her abdomen.

My first strike crushed the breath from her lungs. The second drove blood up her throat. On the third, her body buckled and the fourth destroyed something deep inside. She was done for now.

And yet I couln't rest.

Using her body as a shield I defended myself against the lightning thrown at me by the cloud ninja. Even though she had tanked the lightning, the electricity still tried to pass through me but I had already stopped holding her body and pulled out my sword from her arm.

With quick movements, I retreated back to a safe distance and made eye contact with the cloud ninja. He quickly averted the eye contact fearing for getting caught in my genjutsu. It was only the two of us now.

He seemed impressed somehow.

"You are really good for your age. Good analytical thinking. You took out the fodder while keeping me busy with useless tasks."

"First rule of facing multiple opponents, take out the weskest links. Also, you are really terrible at controlling the battlefield. Your subordinates used no formation at all to attack me. You should teach them to do better, being a jonin and all."

A sense of anger seemed to pass through his face. Interesting. It seemed that there was a story there.

"They are not my subordinates." He said in an extremely angry voice. And as if to strengthen his point further, he threw a kunai right towards the guy I had crippled moments prior. The kunai went through his skull effortlessly and killed him instantly.

"You asked me for my name. You are clearly worthy enough to know it." He said as he pointed his sword towards me. "My name is Raizo Soren. As you have clearly shown me the ability to kill, I will now direct my sword for your life. I will not underestimate you just because you are a kid."

As he finished speaking, his sword hummed wiht the sound of lightning as a white coat of electricity covered it entirely more intense than before.

I took my sword in a defensive stance and infused it with raw chakra. It was not at all on the same level of Raizo's lightning sword. But hopefully I'll prove to be helpful nonetheless.

"Inuzuka Rei." I blurted out my name in order to have one of my childish fanfasies come true. But it proved to be the opposite as I found nothing to add to it. So I just awkwardly stood there.

He was actually a jonin. Although I doubted that he was actually as strong as Kakashi, I sure as hell was sure that this fight will be extremely hard. More so because of my limited ranged arsenal. If I was going to fight him, then I needed to do it in my full strength. Not when Umbra and one of my shadow clones were busy elsewhere. So, I sent a mental messege to Umbra,

'How are things over there? I really need you guys right now.'

The reply didn't come instantly, rather a few seconds later which was comcerning by itself. But not as much as the reply I recieved.

'Don't count on us coming to you anytime soon. Things are really starting to get problematic down here.'

Hearing his reply, I shared his vision for just a moment. And what I saw upset me tremendously.

With a sigh, I focused on my opponent. It seems that I have fight with him solo for a while.
