Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Anko's Offer

"Huh?"

"You want to join in too?"

In the living room, Kiyoshi's mouth twitched.

Looking at Anko, who, standing boldly on the balcony, had just declared her intentions without any restraint, Kiyoshi was momentarily speechless.

This storyline… felt a little off.

If things had progressed normally, the scene should have gone something like this:

["I'm sorry, maybe I came at the wrong time."

Witnessing Kiyoshi and Kurenai embracing closely, a slightly bitter Anko was prepared to leave.

But Kiyoshi, with his soft heart and not wanting to see a beautiful woman leave in sorrow, stopped her.

While holding Kurenai, he reached out his other hand to Anko and smiled gently, "No, you came at just the right time."

Then, under his encouraging gaze, Anko happily threw herself into his arms.]

"No, absolutely not."

Kurenai's cheeks flushed, and she spread her arms protectively in front of Kiyoshi, glaring at her bold friend who had just barged in from the balcony.

"Anko, don't go too far," she shouted.

"Me and Kiyoshi, we're already together."

There was no way she would allow Anko to snatch her man—even if they were close friends.

"Hmph, so what?" Anko raised her chin confidently, completely unfazed by Kurenai's words.

Her eyes burned as she looked at Kiyoshi, and with a teasing smile, she licked her lips.

"I don't mind the two of you being together, I'm fine with being second to you, Kurenai."

"That's not going to happen." Kurenai's face turned red with anger, her eyes flashing with rage.

This shameless woman actually wanted to take her man.

Even though Kurenai knew that Kiyoshi was attractive, dazzling, and very popular in Konoha—he had two or three girls already hoping to get his attention.

She treasured every day she had alone with him and cherished the sweetness of their romance.

She just hadn't expected Anko to come at her this fast.

Anko, undeterred, threw a flirty glance at Kiyoshi and said boldly, "I'm even willing to be the second.

Whatever position you want, I'm in the game…. and if you're into threesomes, I wouldn't mind that either."

Kiyoshi's eyes widened, feeling his heart skip a beat. Anko's words certainly sparked his imagination.

"A…. a threesome?" Kurenai's face turned bright red, utterly unprepared for Anko's daring proposal.

She glared at Anko in outrage, "Anko, you shameless woman, get out of here and don't corrupt my Kiyoshi."

Their eyes locked in a fierce stare-off, as if they would clash at any moment.

"Ahem," Kiyoshi pulled Kurenai gently into his arms. With an almost impish grin, he leaned down to whisper in her ear.

"Actually…. Kurenai, about Anko."

Honestly, he didn't think it would be that bad.

The words were on the tip of his tongue. 'You all are special to me.'

But, of course, he had to give Kurenai some comfort. He couldn't bring himself to disregard her feelings entirely.

"Kiyoshi." Kurenai felt weak, yet Kiyoshi's words made her furious, and she twisted her fingers into his side with a light but firm grip, "You shameless pervert."

"Heh heh, I knew Kiyoshi wouldn't be so heartless." Anko teased with a broad grin, boldly taking hold of Kiyoshi's other arm, leaning against him sweetly.

"Kiyoshi, I'm always obedient, you know."

Anko knew that, despite Kurenai's irritation, when she used her two-fingered grip technique on Kiyoshi, she wasn't really trying to hurt him.

With a personality like that, Kiyoshi would inevitably end up taking full advantage of her.

And from the beginning, Anko had known that Kiyoshi was not the most… restrained person.

Judging by the couple of his girlfriends he already had hanging around him, he wasn't likely to be content with just one woman.

But it was hard to resist—he was just too handsome. Over the past two years, his transformation had made him irresistibly attractive. Also he was so strong that made him even more desirable.

Whether he had been an adorable boy back then or a charming young man now, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him despite herself.

"Anko, you shameless woman." Kurenai's eye twitched furiously, her expression growing wilder by the second.

Gritting her teeth, she glared fiercely at the scoundrel beside her, her grip tightening, "Kiyoshi—."

"Ahem," Kiyoshi coughed softly, ignoring the slight pain in his waist—knowing full well that Anko wouldn't actually use full force.

He cleared his throat and turned to Anko to shift the topic. "So, Anko, why did you come over so early?"

"I'm not letting you off that easily—I deserve a kiss first."

Ignoring his hint, Anko gave him a quick peck on each cheek, despite Kurenai's furious gaze, before finally letting go and settling down on the couch with a smirk.

"I brought breakfast," Anko announced triumphantly, ignoring Kurenai's murderous gaze.

She took out the food she'd brought. "You said yesterday that you might be able to help me remove Orochimaru's curse mark—I couldn't sleep a wink all night."

Normally, she wouldn't have believed him.

But as Tsunade's personal disciple and a recognized prodigy, Kiyoshi had just recently returned from making a major stir in the village.

Despite a strict order of silence from the Third Hokage, Anko, as a Special Jonin, had heard about Kiyoshi's overwhelming defeat of an entire Anbu squad, including Kakashi.

Learning that he was not only skilled in Wood Release but also exceptionally powerful, she couldn't help but believe him when he said he could help her remove the wretched Heavens Curse Mark on her neck.

"So, at dawn, I couldn't wait any longer. I even brought you two breakfast," she said, shooting Kurenai an annoyed look.

"And you two ungrateful souls were sneaking around behind my back."

The more she thought about it, the more she felt she was being short-changed.

Kiyoshi rolled his eyes. "Who's sneaking around? This is all out in the open."

"Shameless woman," Kurenai muttered, her cheeks slightly flushed.

With Anko's suggestive jabs and frequent offers to "share" Kiyoshi, Kurenai had often been left red-faced and flustered during their conversations.

To make matters worse, despite all her protests, she had indeed ended up in Kiyoshi's arms before Anko could.

"Alright, I'll let it go this time," Kurenai said, cheeks still a little red, and pulled Kiyoshi down onto the couch, taking her seat protectively between him and Anko, watching her friend like a hawk.

"Hmph, some best friend you are, sneaking around like this." Anko rolled her eyes dramatically.

Friendships could certainly be rocky.

"Anko!" Kurenai shot her a look.

"Doesn't matter. Kiyoshi's already mine too." Anko declared shamelessly, wrapping her arms around Kurenai, smiling slyly.

"How about this, I'll make a small concession and let you have him on odd days, and I'll take him on even ones."

Kiyoshi, sitting off to the side, could only shake his head in silence.
