Kaido took a sip of wine, glanced at Charlotte Linlin, and shook his head.
"I want to see the world!" Kaido said.
Charlotte Linlin shook her head in disappointment. She then took out a Devil Fruit from the treasure chest, the unknown fruit she had found in the Valley of the Gods.
"My dear brother, this Devil Fruit is for you! You owe me a favor, and we'll meet again someday!" Charlotte Linlin said, handing the fruit to Kaido.
Kaido accepted the fruit, knowing Linlin would not offer it without expecting something in return.
Charlotte Linlin and Long Bread then left the reef area on Zeus, leaving Kaido alone.
Kaido stared at the Devil Fruit in his hand. Without hesitation, he swallowed it in one gulp.
"Vomit!"
Kaido felt a wave of nausea but quickly suppressed it. Suddenly, his body began to transform. His limbs were covered in blue scales, and his figure grew enormous.
Moments later, a massive blue dragon rose into the sky.
Kaido, now in his dragon form, roared in laughter. "Wooo-lo-lo-lo!"
His figure flashed as he disappeared into the clouds.

This return was bountiful for Charlotte. He had brought back thirteen treasure chests, five Devil Fruits, and seven ships full of men. Alongside those, he had captured pirate and navy warships.
Charlotte leaned back, closing his eyes. The news didn't matter to him. The same couldn't be said for the rest of the world.

He tore down the old flag at the port and replaced it with a black flag bearing a skull pierced by a long sword.
This would be the symbol of the Rockefeller Pirates, a mark that would accompany Charlotte for the rest of his life.
