Marine office building, in the office specifically set aside for the CP department.

"Captain, captain, there's good news! Do you want to hear it?"

A CP0 agent approached Graeme's desk, speaking in a low voice.

From his tone, you could tell that there was likely an uncontrollable smile behind the mask at this moment.

"What good news?"

Graeme, who had been dozing off, opened his eyes and glanced at him indifferently. "Don't tell me those Marines finally stopped dragging their feet and just handed over all their assets?"

"Uh..." the CP0 agent scratched his head, "Not quite. Actually, even if they keep stalling, it's only a matter of time before we sort everything out."

"You're right, but this is Marineford after all, and it's uncomfortable to stay here."

Graeme closed his eyes again, sounding bored. "So, what's this good news then?"

During this period, the CP department had been eating, drinking, and sleeping at Marineford around the clock, trying to transfer all of the Marines' profitable assets to them as quickly as possible.

Of course, even with the orders from the Five Elders and approval from Fleet Admiral Akira, it's impossible for all the Marine staff to fully cooperate.

They couldn't stop the overall process, but they could certainly slow it down.

For instance, they'd claim they had to finish their own tasks first before dealing with the handover.

Or, they'd clock out for the day and say, "We'll continue tomorrow."

Or even, "What industry are you talking about? We don't have that in our records. We'll need to contact a officer to verify. That might take three to five days."

...

In short, CP0 had been worn down by the civil servants' delays.

But this is Marineford. No matter how frustrated or angry they got, they had no choice but to endure it.

Even Graeme couldn't do much about the situation.

After all, the civil servants were technically following orders for the handover, but they were doing it with a level of "diligence" that made everything painfully slow.

On top of that, they all had the mindset of regular workers—they had no intention of working overtime for this.

The worst part?

When the officers returned from their missions, it seemed like they couldn't go a day without coming to pick a fight. They had to have some kind of confrontation with the CP team.

Anyone who's been targeted by the entire Marineford like that would understand how it felt.

Graeme, for one, definitely didn't want to go through it again.

For all the CP members, the only "good" news would be the actual completion of the handover.

"I heard that Fleet Admiral Akira is going to send those high-ranking generals to the New World soon."

"Once those guys leave the headquarters, we won't have to deal with their sour faces every day. Wouldn't that count as good news, Captain?"

The CP0 agent asked with a smile.

Graeme immediately sat up straight, nodding slowly as he rubbed his chin. "That's true. Not bad. But why did Akira suddenly decide to send them to that part of the sea?"

"Who knows!" The CP0 member shrugged casually. "It's natural for Marines to go after pirates. Captain, how about we celebrate tonight?"

"Celebrate?"

Graeme glanced at him, trying to figure out what was really on his mind.

Celebrating was just an excuse—what he really wanted was to take a break and unwind.

But Graeme didn't mind.

After dealing with so much frustration at Marineford, everyone probably had a lot of pent-up anger.

The problem was that they couldn't vent it on anyone.

Besides, the Marine civil servants didn't work overtime on the handover anyway, so there was no point in sticking around at headquarters.

If that's the case, why not take a break outside?

"Go ahead without me. I'm staying."

Graeme raised his hand and closed his eyes again. "Just make sure you're back on time tomorrow morning."

"Alright, Captain."

The CP0 members obviously knew their team leader well, so they weren't surprised by his response. After replying quickly, they vanished from the office.

"You youngsters are still too naive," Graeme muttered, shaking his head.

Time passed slowly.

Soon, night fell.

A group of about a dozen figures arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago, exchanged a few words, and then split up.

"Ah, no matter how much time passes, I still prefer being out of this mask," one of the CP0 members said, stepping into the shadows to change into a more casual outfit. He no longer wore the easily recognizable CP0 uniform or the conspicuous mask that hid his face.

Holding a stack of berries in his hand, he leisurely made his way toward the island's Pleasure District.

"It's been a while since I've been out. I think tonight calls for a bit of indulgence," he said, wearing the kind of grin any man would understand as he disappeared into the night.

What he didn't know was that at the same time, in a secluded area, inside a high-end hotel room...

"The target has appeared."

A clone of Viola, with her striking brown-black eyes, delicate light brown pupils, a red flower in her hair, and dressed in a dancer's outfit, suddenly stood up.

She carefully examined the two photographs placed on the table and, after a moment of scrutiny, confirmed one of them.

"It's him."

Viola's clone spoke with certainty.

With that, she quickly took out her Den Den Mushi and dialed a number.

Pere~Pere~Pere~Pere~

"Moshi moshi, this is Akira," came the deep, magnetic voice of Fleet Admiral Akira .

"Sir, this is Viola's clone. The person you asked me to watch for has appeared on Sabaody Archipelago."

"Huh? Which one?" The voice on the other end grew serious.

"The younger one," the clone replied.

"Hmm... doesn't sound like Graeme, but that's alright."

There was a brief rustling from the other side of the call. "Stay where you are. I'll be there shortly."

"Understood, sir."

Click.

The Den Den Mushi clicked as the call ended.

Viola's clone knew how much Akira valued this mission and dared not make any mistakes at such a crucial moment. She immediately activated her Devil Fruit ability, focusing all her senses.

"Clairvoyance."

With the power of the Glare-Glare Fruit, her vision extended over vast distances, centering on herself, allowing her to observe the activity at Pleasure District with precision.

As the late night passed and dawn approached, the sky began to brighten.

The CP0 member finally stepped out of Pleasure District. His legs were shaky, but he looked refreshed and satisfied.

"Not bad at all. Tonight's top girl was definitely worth every berry," he said with a grin, clearly pleased with his evening.

As he walked away, footsteps echoed nearby.

Two figures appeared in the distance.

"Eh? Fleet Admiral Akira? What's he doing here so early in the morning?" he muttered, surprised to see the Marine leader. "And who's that woman? A private meeting, maybe?"

Although startled, the CP0 agent's years of training kicked in, and he quickly composed himself. He kept his head down, hoping to avoid attracting attention. After all, he wasn't wearing his mask and didn't want his true identity exposed to anyone outside CP0.

He made the decision to turn away and cross paths without confrontation.

But in the very next moment, his heart nearly stopped.

Akira suddenly appeared right in front of him, his fist, as large as a sandbag and covered in Armament Haki, aimed directly at the CP0 agent's head.

"One of Graeme's men, huh? I'll be borrowing your life!" Akira growled, his voice filled with lethal intent.
