"Fleet Admiral Akira wants to kill me."
The CP0 members were shocked.
There was no need to ask for confirmation; he could sense it from the incoming fist.
He could clearly feel the intense killing intent.
The force behind this punch was clearly meant to end his life.
"Why? And how did he know about me?"
He questioned himself, confused.
But unfortunately, Akira wasn't going to provide any answers, and there wasn't enough time for him to figure it out himself.
Just as this doubt crossed the CP0 member's mind, the fist struck his body.
Boom.
A loud, muffled sound echoed.
Two bursts of blood shot from the chest and back of the CPO member.
He immediately coughed up blood and was sent flying. Before hitting the ground, he lost consciousness, and his breathing stopped.
Although he was a CP0 member, strong in his own right, he was clearly no match for Akira.
Not to mention his inability to react to the emperor-level speed, but the monstrous Conqueror's Haki that exploded at full force, aimed directly at him, left him completely stunned in place.
For top-tier fighters, even a brief pause is enough to decide a battle.
Moreover, to end the fight quickly, Akira's inhuman strength was enhanced by Armament Haki and Conqueror's infusion, skills only wielded by the strongest of fighters.
With all these advantages, even Graeme, who possessed Admiral-level combat power, wouldn't have fared well against such an attack.
So it was no surprise that an ordinary CP0 member was defeated instantly.
Akira lowered his fists and walked towards the fallen CP0 member.
"Sir, his companions haven't noticed anything and are still in their positions," Viola's clone reported as she ended her ability and opened her eyes.
Akira nodded, "You've done well during this mission."
Viola's clone responded immediately, "Serving you, my lord, is never hard."
"The mission is complete; you can return."
"Understood. Call me whenever you need me."
With a graceful bow, Viola's clone disappeared in a puff of smoke.
A leaf floated in the air and landed in Akira's palm.
"The next target is clear."
Akira tucked the transformed leaf into his coat, looked at the body of the CPO member, and took a deep breath. "First, I'll bring this guy back from the 'past,' then use him to lure Graeme out."
Akira had been planning this ever since he received a special reminder from Kong: after the Great Pirate Era ended, all profitable industries would be handed over.
Financial control is the lifeblood of the Marines. How could such a huge industry, once established, be handed over easily?
But the time wasn't yet right to rebel over this matter.
So!
He devised a plan to replace CP0.
Aren't the Five Elders worried that the Marines will grow too powerful, so they want to hand over financial affairs to the CP0 to maintain balance between forces?
Then I'll just turn the CP0 into my own force, right?
In this case, all the power and assets would simply be transferred from one hand to the other—Akira's left to his right.
Not only that, but the "eyes" that control this all-seeing, far-reaching intelligence network—the very tool the Five Elders use to monitor the world—would be completely neutralized.
They would see only what Akira wanted them to see.
Of course, to pull off this audacious plan, the most critical aspect was figuring out how to turn CP0 Captain Graeme into one of his own without the Five Elders noticing.
As for why Akira didn't simply use the transformed leaves to clone Graeme, it was primarily due to safety concerns.
After all, clones have significant weaknesses—they're far too easy to expose.
And this was the most crucial point of all.
Akira didn't come up with this plan aimlessly.
He had successfully passed the Five Elders' test.
When he was promoted to Marine Fleet Admiral, he received a special "newbie package" when his system activated.
The Mythical Zoan form, "Over," was created after upgrading his Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Monster Raccoon.
This was the source of his confidence.
"Now it's finally time for you to act."
Akira pulled a small, mysterious paper boat glowing with colorful light from his coat.
It was crafted during the test, after he had obtained the "Over" ability.
He knelt down and gently placed the boat on the body of the fallen CP0 member.
The moment the boat touched the corpse, as if the conditions to activate it were met, the boat burst into radiant light, glowing brightly.
Under Akira's watchful gaze, the boat slowly expanded, growing in size until it completely enveloped the body of the CP0 member.
Then, the colorful boat lifted into the air, slipping into the void and disappearing entirely.
Akira stood and clasped his hands behind his back, looking at the now-empty space.
If an ordinary person were to follow his line of sight, they wouldn't see a thing.
But as someone wielding the "Over" ability, the view was very different.
He saw an endless black void, within which the river of time flowed, carrying all past events. The colorful boat, now pulling the CP0 member's body, sailed upstream through time.
There were a few bumps along the way until the boat arrived at the moment just before the CP0 member encountered Akira—before his death.
Once it reached that point in time, the boat trembled, and the body of the CP0 member was thrown back into that precise moment.
The long river of time rippled.
In the next second, in that past moment, Akira hadn't yet thrown his fatal punch, but the CP0 member was already dead on the ground.
Meanwhile, the still-living CP0 member was welcomed back aboard the boat, which floated downstream.
Bang.
Not long after, in the present, the CP0 member reappeared before Akira in a puff of smoke.
"Master!"
The CP0 member immediately knelt on the ground and greeted him with deep respect.
